    I think dj’s title defenses are arguably a bit underrated. I constantly hear people say “bro, who did he fight, just nobodies”, but you gotta remember, most of these dude’s spent their entire prime under dj’s reign, if dj didn’t exist some of them would probably be considered legendary champions with a few title defenses under their belt each, because DJ was there they all just ended up being remembered as “that guy dj beat” or “that guy dj beat twice”. Dj was just so good it took an olympic gold medalist and future double champ to make it look like he wasn’t fighting cans. And even then it took cejudo two tries to win a controversial split decision over him.

    Volk's Max Holloway wins are so good because he fought the Max across various spans of Featherweight contention. Max and Volk were so ahead of everyone that Max was beating contenders, amassing "defences in a way", and looked like a real problem going into their third fight.

    I don’t disagree with any of your takes, thought I would, but I don’t.
    Your overall take about Jon being undefeated is fair, imo. But to say he has clearly been beaten, is objectively false though. R3 vs Reyes comes down to damage vs output. If you value damage then JJ won that round. If you value output Reyes got it. Gus 1 is an amazing fight could’ve went either way. Santos needed double leg surgery after that fight. You can “argue” they beat Jones, nobody has *clearly* beat Jones.
    Khabib is a weight bully, man. He’s great don’t get me wrong but man I feel like he never faced any top dog at the right time. Retired early but I respect it regardless.
    Anderson Silva resume is an argument I’ve been making myself so I appreciate your take but I’d argue strength of schedule doesn’t matter during an era where he was carrying UFC on his back and he was super exciting.

      Just look at the Gaethje fight, the flawless way how he transitions from a double leg to a triangle in like 15 seconds is insane, it almost looks scripted. Aldo is not "4:4" at bantamweight, the Bautista fight was a blatant robbery, he clearly beat Bautista. He also beat Moraes, even though that was a closer fight and a less obvious W than Bautista. He's 6:2 at bw, only lost to the 2 greatest bws of all time Merab and Yan

      @BunnyMMA Doesn't matter what he is on paper, he won the fights, judges are not infallible, more like the exact opposite, robberies happen all the time. Jones lost to Reyes, Rinat lost to Leal, Adesanya lost to Romero, Bisping lost to Hamill, GSP lost to Hendricks, Lawler lost to Condit, Albazi lost to KKF and so on. Aldo clearly won the 2nd and 3rd round, he won 2 out of 3 rounds against Bautista, therefore he won the fight. You're not winning fights by getting outstruck and outdamaged and then holding your opponent against the cage without doing anything. That the judges failed to judge correctly once again doesn't change it. The Moraes fight was at least a close fight, it's at least kind of arguable who won the 3rd round. But Aldo edged it. He's 6:2

He was standing with Gaejthe and jabbing him up, exchanging leg kicks with him, etc., Stockton slapping McGregor and dropping him, landing crisp boxing on Poirier, on and on.

      @AMG-ko3gt 9 дней назад

      @@JohnnyMonday He didn't exactly get the better of Gaethje in the striking exchanges. Also, Khabib's takedown threat makes it easier for him to strike with his opponents. The top fighters that Khabib fought aren't as good as the fighters that GSP and Jon Jones fought. Srsly if you'll look at the combined records of their opponents, Khabib's opponents have a worse combined record compared to the opponents of Jon Jones and GSP. Khabib's a legend but he's hella overrated. He never truly cleaned out his division unlike guys like Jon Jones, DJ, GSP, and even Anderson Silva. Guess what, Khabib never even challenged a champion from another weight class. Also, Khabib isn't exactly the most well-rounded. It's mainly his wrestling that garners him success. GSP and DJ are better examples of what peak MMA looks like cuz they're actually great in both striking and grappling and they know how to mix them up effectively. One does not have to be undefeated to be the GOAT. The GOAT can be someone who overcomes adversities (like defeats) in redeeming fashion as well as carve a decently long run of excellence. I understand what you are trying to say, but most fighters are fighting other low level cans at the beginning of their careers in the UFC. They don’t come out the gates fighting the best of the best in their divisions. So the take for Alex isn’t really good in my opinion.

      Even if you look at the top of his wins it isn’t the craziest thing ever. So I still stand by my opinion.

    But you are wrong about Jon losing to Dominic. I agree that he underestimated him and probably didn't train much for that fight but he clearly won the last two rounds and took Dominick's sole. And I also believe he won the third round even though it was close. Jon was a bit cocky and didn't want to use his wrestling up untill the last round in that fight otherwise that fight would've been over probably in the first two rounds.

    Fair critiques. I've always thought Anderson Silva was overrated and it's nice to see a commentator acknowledge that his competition wasn't very good. He had some great wins like Sonnen and Henderson but most of his wins were over journeymen.
    Who do you think could beat Khabib at 155 if he would have stuck around? I think Khabib is the greatest ever but acknowledge his career left some questions because of his abrupt retirement.

    If you rewatch the Jones vs Reyes fight and look at the damage output and all the kicks he checked, he beat Reyes. Again, when you're arguing his last fights in LHW mean he beat no one, I disagree. They were all number 1 contenders. Again proves no point in fighting Aspinal, if he beat Aspinal and Aspina goes on a losing streak, that fight does nothing for his legacy.

    • @BunnyMMA
      @BunnyMMA  9 дней назад +2

      Yeah but the part you’re missing. Jones has spent his entire career fighting guys he had an obvious size advantage and height advantage. Look what he happened when he fought guys in there prime his size. He struggled.
      Gus 1 fight.
      Reyes fight
      Santos fight
      For once we want this dude to fight someone who’s not 20 years older than him. And had a similar build. Stop bullying 42 year old retired men. And kickboxers you know you can take down and submit.

    • @Arcanenix
      @Arcanenix 9 дней назад

      @@BunnyMMA I mean he dismantled Glover when they fought. DC was whooping everyone else on was bigger than him except for Jones. I think Jones clearly beat Gus, gotta watch that fight without any commentary. When he finished Gus the second time he was the number 1 contender. and yeah Reyes and Santos gave him a run for his money. He vanquished Ciryl ganed though, watch the early predictions when everyone was saying he was going to lose. Khabib is literally bigger than everyone in 155 and literally killed himself to make weight.

    • @MuhGlassRibs

      @BunnyMMA jones had somewhat of a height advantage just like James Vick in lightweight, omalley at bantamweight and struve at heavyweight. but even with that, he is the only person who won consistently.
      But gustufsson is 6'5. one inch taller and jones beat him twice.

    • @elijahwojik1327
      @elijahwojik1327 9 дней назад

      The height argument is a weak argument, when Jones has faced opponents like DC, who ragged dolled anyone at the time including opponents that were much bigger. Jones Beat Gustufson twice, and the second time was a beat down. Jones didn’t struggle with Thiago. Thiago threw a lot strikes, but Jones dodged or checked most of them. It also doesn’t matter if he struggled with them or not, Jones got the W. If Jones was shorter like DC, people would arguing he had an advantage because he had a lower center of gravity. Jones studies and adapts to every fighter.

    • @ps9501
      @ps9501 9 дней назад

      When it comes to Jon Jones legacy it's not his lack of opponents so much what you can critique but other things. Jones has failed drug tests for steroids multiple times, they literally changed whole event for Gus 2 to a place where was more lenient athletic commission because they found small traces of turinabol from his system what he previously got suspended on. Then they used argument that it several years ago "pulsing" when it's a fact that turinabol has never been proven to pulse before when it comes to drug testing. Another thing is that Jones uses his longest reach to eye poke his opponents when they try to come to boxing range, it's his primary defense to extend arm and fingers towards opponents face.
