Belarus is known for our quality milk products. I'm not surprised that you liked our condensed milk) Drinks are called "kisel". One of the national drinks for Russia and Belarus. In fact, it is berries and starch. Very high in calories.
Waffles and condensed milk are made in my region and city :P. All items of this box u can buy in local shops here (without a heater and matches). Belarussian canned meat is best for price/quality ;) Hello from Belarus!
The alphabet is called Cyrillic (named after Saint Cyril who is said to have invented it), it's used in Russia, Belarus, Serbia, Bulgaria and other countries. You're gonna learn Cyrillic by osmosis if you continue to eat these MREs. Some words are kinda similar if you just know how to decipher the letters. For example: сахар = "sakhar" = Sugar паштет = "pasthet" = Paté кофе = "kofe" = Coffee молоко = "moloko" = Milk мюсли = "miosli" = Müsli And then you also got каша = "kasha" = a kind of hearty porridge made with oats or buckwheat. The berry is probably cranberry, they are common in western fruit bars too.
Very cool. Thanks! I have a friend who is American, that learned Cyrillic just by watching RUclips videos about it. So it’s definitely very learnable! I appreciate all the information and I’m sure a lot of people will get good info reading this 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Oh, as you mentioned baloney/bologna... The Soviet minister of trade Anastas Mikoyan visited the US in the 1930s to study the food industry, and was very impressed with (among other things) your baloney. He brought the idea back to USSR where his recipe was standardized under the name "doktorskaya kolbasa " = doctor's sausage". It was promoted as nourishing and easy to digest for kids, old or sick people. He also ordered Soviet scientists to write an official cookbook of healthy and tasty food.
that MRE looks awesome a person could live off one of those for a few days if they had too, and still get in nutrients and energy each day. thanks for the video
I've been to this beautiful country several times. Each time I left with a couple of extra pounds. The food there is excellent, one of the best. And yes, condensed milk and sweets from MRE are just sold in grocery, it's not military spec. You should try their “сырки”, I don't know how it is in English. That's so awesome!!!
condensed milk is made in Russia stew is made in Belarus and Russia. I often eat these irps because there are a lot of them in Russia. I love Stewed meat with pasta very much.
Ура! Наконец-то видео про белорусский МРЕ! it says on the box Trade and Production Directorate under the Ministry of Defense 2:34 The first bag is kissel. Lingonberry flavor. The second bag is also kissel, the taste is “forest berry”. A completely natural drink, without synthetics. 4:14 The bar is toffee. 8:23 sweetened condensed milk (sguschyonka). Not white chocolate. A very tasty sweet, Belarusians know how to make it 09:05 beef stew. Tushonka. Not goulash. 14:54 this is pearl barley porridge or perlovka. 15:12 This is exactly buckwheat porridge with meat. Grechka. you have cool teeth. I wouldn't be able to chew a lollipop like you. This is not the first time I’ve watched your videos and I’m still surprised that you mix different dishes. We don't eat like that. Thank you for the video! You are cool Oh, by the way, why didn't you finish eating?
Thank you for all the details, I appreciate it. And yes, my first guess was that the tube had sweet condensed milk, however my description was that it tastes like white chocolate because it’s a taste that’s similar. Honestly, this was either the largest MRE I’ve ever had or maybe the fact that I had a small breakfast…I had no room to fit anymore food without it looking painful, so I stopped. I appreciate you enjoy the content, I have another cool Russian MRE; it’s the “special forces mountain one w extra high calories” I believe it’s 5k !!
None of this is in Belorussian. All the writing on all the packages, including the box itself is in Russian (and only in Russian). The only exception is that cover paper, listing the content: the list is in Belorussian. :-)
Nie mogę patrzeć jak niechlujnie jesz chłopie, chociaż ze smakiem :) The red fruits were red currants, you had sweetened condensed milk in the tube, and those two cans had groats, perhaps buckwheat in one and barley in the other enriched with some meat.
I bought a few Belarusian 24hr MREs after having tried one. It is definitely the best military ration aside from the French and Russian ones. The Estonian ones are also amazing.
@@Bravebelly The French ones are pretty good, the only problem with them is that the salted biscuits don’t last very long. I would like to see you do a video on a French military 24hr ration.
@@Bravebelly No. Because: 1) It's a joke regardless of country 2) There is a real state security committee named KGB in Belarus and Kazakhstan 3) If you have something against this you will go to the Gulag without condesed milk.
@@Bravebelly That's how it was. But our Belarusian brothers thought about it, and decided that there was no point in changing something so good for something new. Very pragmatic guys. =)
These are kind of meant to be issued in a FOB sort of scenario where the troops are pretty stationary and dug in, but they don't have the time or resources to set up field kitchens. The soldiers would have a barracks area to store and consume their food. This isn't meant to be a full-fledged combat ration.

The cosmonauts dessert is called sgushchennoe moloko(сгущённое молоко) It's very tasty, but there's also a boiled version It tastes even better
