Yeah that's really incredible! I hear from others that have visited India years back how much progress they see happening over the past decade! I know many tourists like to try the older trains all around the world and enjoy riding on them in a more 'free' way than the strict regulations in our countries. But that isn't very practical or comfortable/safe for daily commuters. I hope they some of keep them around for nostalgic reasons or even for tourism. I remember when we were in Abania (they have one of the oldest train lines and cars left in Europe) they are all spray painted and have bullet holes! (they are from the post soviet era)
In this season, I'll recommend you to visit North east India. It's a incredible especially in October and November. From December to February, it mostly blocked from snow then in march and April, you'll see the Japan like beautiful cheery bloosoms in the hillly region. Delhi, agra, Mumbai like cities are nothing in front of North east region. Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh are also recommendable but you'll feel fozen chilled like weather because November is coming.
I stand with my brother from North East, and in tandem welcome u guys to South - Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala, and Andhra! You will be amazed at the mix of modernity and gigantic temples from yesteryear! And, and, and, and.. love from down under! 😉
Try Himalayas of India up North u won't regret 👍🏼 Beautiful weather and picturesque places too just do some basic research and u should be good 👍🏼 UTTARAKHAND, HIMACHAL PRADESH AND LADAKH/J&K are my recommendation ❤

This ain't first class. This is AC chair car, which is the normal/lower class on premium trains. First class would be a much more comfortable experience but for just 2 hours spending double is probably not worth it.
If possible then try Maharaja Express, Decen Odyssey, Rajasthan on wheels, Palace on wheels et.. luxurious trains any of them, it's completely different experience. And actually if you book excutive class you won't need table cause you can turn 180° . 7:53 and in the opposite side theres comode toilet 🚽.
Yes we actually saw our fellow RUclipsr friends train experience out of Mumbai on that train! So cool! We didn't know! There are so many classes and trains and coaches! We will try that train next visit!

I personally think that Agra and Jaipur (the golden triangle) are overrated because it's really crowded there and plus the pollution If you want a more relaxing tour with nature then you should try Goa, Kerala (houseboats are super relaxing and the food is amazing). You can also visit ancient unexplored temples. You also have Himalayas. Evergreen forests of Northeast India. And India have 2 sets of islands too. 1 is Andaman and Nicobar Islands and one is Lakshadweep. You can visit Andaman and Nicobar Islands too because they have blue and really clear water.
Yes we agree! We did have a plan to go to Mumbai and down to Goa and the south but we decided to save that for our next visit as we were both very tired from a few months of straight travels and also from have stomach issues.

When travelling in India, always carry a small pack of medicines for food poisoning, antibiotics and antivirals for respiratory and viral illnesses, mild anti histamines for allergies and digestive enzymes, and avoid anything that isn't bottled or RO water. I say this as a guy whose travelled all over the country. Your stomach will especially thank you for the enzymes

When travelling in India, always carry a small pack of medicines for food poisoning, antibiotics and antivirals for respiratory and viral illnesses, mild anti histamines for allergies and digestive enzymes, and avoid anything that isn't bottled or RO water. I say this as a guy whose travelled all over the country. Your stomach will especially thank you for the enzymes
