In this video, we’re going to talk about cinnamon-specifically Ceylon cinnamon! One teaspoon a day can have some promising benefits to your health. Cinnamon is the oldest spice and the most consumed spice in the world.
The active component in cinnamon is called cinnamaldehyde. It has potent anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anticancer, and antidiabetic properties.
Here are 9 antidiabetic effects of cinnamon:
    1. Increased insulin sensitivity
    2. Increased glucose sensitivity
    3. Decreased risk of NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease)
    4. Protects the kidneys
    5. Restores peripheral neuropathy
    6. Prevents endothelial dysfunction
    7. Decreased risk of cataracts
    8. Decreased harmful lipid accumulation
    9. Decreased inflammation of the brain
There are numerous ways to consume your daily cinnamon! You can try adding it to your tea or coffee, or taking a cinnamon supplement. You can also add it to different foods.
Cinnamon is not only beneficial for diabetes, but for insulin resistance as well. If you are insulin resistant, you can benefit from a daily dose of cinnamon.

I drink a teaspoon of cinnamon, squeeze 1 lemon, 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar, quarter teaspoon of ginger and 1 teaspoon of liquid sugar. All mixed into a 3 litre bottle of distilled water everyday … I’ve been drinking this mix and doing 18hr fasting for the last 10 months and I’ve stopped taking all medication for gout and diabetes, and dropped well over 30kgs! Not to mention I work out twice a day (once in the morning and before dinner) … A huge thanks to Dr. Berg of course for giving me the blueprints to this lifesaving hack! 😁👍✨

I was not impressed with adding cinnamon to water to drink, not a coffee drinker either, so in order to enjoy the benefits of cinnamon, I toast a half slice of walnut multigraind bread and sprinkle cinnamon generously on it, I have that every day around 11am with my 2 scrambled eggs. I don't feel hungry til about 5 or 6pm . This works for me, I've reduced my weight about 30+ pounds in a year. I'm 66yrs old and retired. Hope this is a blessing to someone else

Add 1 tbsp of fenugreek to a glass of water and keep it aside for like 4-5 hrs. You may drink the water then. Don't drink frequently, because it drops sugar level quickly.

Thank you for this! I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant a few months ago. Sadly we lost the baby. When I was ordered to take blood test to see if my blood sugar level went back to normal they found out I was already pre-diabetic. The first thing I bought was Bitter Melon supplements. This has been known in the Philippines for decades to help lower bloodsugar. So far its been helping a lot. I'll try taking cinnamon with my coffee to see if my results will improve more.

I am glad to see this video. Specially because of Ceylon(si-laahn) cinnamon. 😊. I am a Sri lanakan and my mom teaches me to drink a glass of cinnamon water or a glass of water soaked in fenugreek if I feel my sugar level is high. I love sweets. But I control it a lot now. Sometimes I eat a lot of sweets and I feel/notice the high sugar level, so I drink either cinnamon or fenugreek soaked water on the same day. My symptoms disappear then.
Dr.Berg, please educate everyone about fenugreek too. I really appreciate your free health education via RUclips.

I can attest to this working wonders! Well tbh I'm not 100% sure if it's the cinnamon itself but I've been taken a mix of spices which includes ginger, cinnamon, Cardamoms, Cloves, black pepper and nutmeg ( ingredients written in that order) and adding it to my tea first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening after my last meal and I've seen a 20% decrease in my fasting blood glucose - from pre diabetic numbers to excellent numbers in the 4s!!!I also tried it post pandrial ( within 2hrs after consuming my meal and saw numbers I've never seem before, this is even after eating foods with carbs like rice and a half glass of baileys 😉. I am a sceptical person so I didnt want to believe that it was the spice mix but the numbers I was seeing were insanely low compared to before I started taking these spices. In addition, the researcher in me even went as far as experimenting with going some days without taking these spices on a normal carb diet and lo and behold my pre numbers came back again! Not sure if this is a good sign though as it suggests the effects of this mix are short term 🤔 if within a couple of days the numbers go up again. But anyway 1 or more of the ingredients I have listed does have an effect and I think combining it with a low carb lifestyle would be the best approach.

Sri Lanka was called Ceylon during the British era. That’s why that name go along with cinnamon because they used to export them to Europe during that time. Sri Lanka is small island in South Asia. As a Sri Lankan,we even use cinnamon as a spice and flavoring aging for our curries. It has some marvelous results if you could use it on daily basis.
