That elephant is truly beautiful. She's knows that her new humans love her, she just looked content with all that delicious fruit.she knows they're all there to care for her
I had a pup that had a leaky heart, too. She was pn medicine her entire life and had a lot of specialty visits. Before she was even a year old, she was only given a life expectancy of a few years. While I still felt like she passed too soon, she lasted 11 years. You could actually feel the difference in her heart vs. a normal heart by just touching her chest. I miss her every day ❤
I rescued a 4 week old puppy over 3 years ago. He had 5 surgeries before he was 3 month old. He had been bitten by the mother. His head was the size of his body. When he had his 6th surgery at 7 month old to fix the eye lids from rolling under and to be neutered. He still loves to go to the vet. He fights me to trim his nails but he sits there and never moves a muscle when the vets office does the trim. I would have thought he would hate the vet but he drags me to the door an d jumps up on it till I open it.I can’t find anyone to groom him because he’s an American Pit Bull Terrier. All people hear is pit bull. He is such a love bug. He has never met a stranger to him
@@monican88 Yes. I help run a kennel and I'd *much* rather deal with pit bulls or really *any* large dog than most of the tiny terrors that've come through.
My rabbit had his tear ducts flushed after he kept getting watery eyes and no eye drops helped. Having them flushed was absolutely amazing seeing everything kinda unblock? It also completed fixed the problem and has no issues since!
What wonderful service these vets provide. I had a dog with chronic heart disease and my regular vet wouldn’t see her, saying they had no time. I eventually found an emergency vet who took care of her. The practice I usually go to used to be wonderful, then the owner retired and the place has gone down hill. How lovely they go to see this lady and her dear dogs. Well done!
I love all the kindness everyone shows.. number 2 though really touches my heart how the vet goes beyond and shows so much kindness.well done everyone Bless you all
My daughter had dacryocystitis, and had to have the same procedure as Alfie when she was 16mo. She was born with 7 congenital defects in her heart, so were were at a top 10 hospital with a dedicated specialist team and two anesthesiologists. Kinda wild to see Alfie just roll with what was SO BIG for us. 💜
It's always the little ones that cause the most nuiscance. Honey just clinging onto scott with both her tiny claws as she's taken off of him is adorable
I’m pretty sure that Alfie is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Charlie definitely is! My Cavi had a leaky heart valve, too. It’s common for the breed 😢
My last cat loved being at the vets, too, he was so excited every time that he elected to forget the car ride there and just enjoy the vets office. He simply found it the greatest thing next to few other, outside the apartment, things he ever did. Only beaten by, but almost a tie, the netted balcony with its wooden branches to climb and scratch and shelves.
We took in a stray cat that was always congested and sneezed blood constantly. Along with eye infections and ear. We also had him neutered. We only had him a few months and were at the vet constantly. They finally put him under and flushed out everything from his nasal passages. They said it was so gross one of the assistance had to leave the room. Sadly he got out and we were never able to find him.
Dr Scott is an out of control flirt with the animals, it's downright shameful! He's one in a million, isn't he? One of my favorite shows was the one with the sisters, father and g-pigs, playing, making their cute squeaks as they go about their ever-so-serious guinea pig business. 😂
The puppy probably understands that when he goes to the vet. His eyes are taken care of and then he's able to see again without too many issues. Animals, they know and understand more than we think they do!
That poor little Joey. I have an inflammatory jaw disorder, it’s the most painful experience I’ve had to live with. And I’ve had babies/had my gallbladder explode. They’re just a little baby, I can imagine the pain they experience is similar to us humans. I’m so glad he was found and received surgery.
My dog actually loves the vet as well. He just loves people and getting a shot or getting stuff out his ears which can hurt is worth seeing people and smelling other doggos to him
Ohhh Scot is a gem like the flighty squirrel he was talking about and the rat that touched his hand and heart while camping. He also has a gorgeous family with his sisters in law.
The people that care for the squirel gloder are amazing to catch that so quickly and she went right back to her handler. You can see that she is well taken care of. Shes gorgeous. Im so jealous
I hope to find a career that Im so in love with like these vets are you can tell this is true dedication and a true calling for this its so hopeful to see 😊
What a great video! Thanks for helping all those animals. And for taking us along for it!! Mrs. Causewell is quite the character! SO nice the vet, and tech/nurse, go over and get Charlie and take him to the clinic to be treated. 💕 Hope all are doing well!
You can see the pain in how the elephant walks. She looks like she has arthritis in her legs. So glad they rescued her or she would still be treated so badly.
You Sir are an amazing Doctor of animals your compassion is beyond word's and watching you is so entertaining thank you for your videos and I hope you have a long, long career ! 😂😂😂
We’ve been away from our dog for thanksgiving and I’m trying to keep myself content with watching dog videos. It’s not working anymore! Alfie was the cute that over did it.
I know someone who had her dog freeze dried and you could never tell by looking at it that it is not a living dog looking at you, it is really quite impressive.
Elephants are incredibly emotionally intelligent creatures. They can feel sorrow and sadness and joy and they even deeply grieve the loss of a pack member. They are sentient. They are expressive and each one has an individual personality just like human beings. Pls fight to save them. Pls support charities and rescues that take care of them.
Yeah, keeping such small creatures like that glider under general anesthesia is very tricky. I'm a vet tech from Germany and I'm responsible for the general anesthesia in our small animal practice. I like to expain it with a span. In cats and dogs, there's a quite large span between awakeness and death. In small animals with higher metabolism, in our case usually guinea pigs or rats or hamsters, they're either awake or dead. The nice place of comfy anesthesia is like hitting bullseye. You're constantly on the edge between the patient waking up or going to deep. Even with experience, it's quite stressfull. It's absolutely managable and for me personally I've only ever lost one patient to general anesthesia, but some species are definately more forgiving under general anesthesia than others. /note: we mostly treat cats & dogs, also rabbits, g-pigs, the occasional rats, mice, hamsters, but no exotics/reptiles/birds. And of course I've seen plenty or animals die under general anesthesia. The only one actually dying from the general anesthesia was a very old, very sick dog with risk through the roof and tbh he should have been euthanized and the vet should not have agreed to try and operate.
I didn't have health insurance and went without dental appointments for 20 years. I was unaware that I had bruxism, where I grind my teeth in my sleep. I eventually got insurance but was so used to not going to the dentist that I didn't go until I was in unbearable pain. I had abscess in my farther back molars, which are the first teeth that make contact when grinding. I hadn't realized how much pain I had been living with for so long. I didn't even need pain meds after the tooth was pulled because it was less painful that what I had been living with.
I love your videos! They are so heartwarming and you can tell u love the animals as if they were your own. I wish we got care like that in the United States.
I wish my dog loved going to the vet. She's happy because she gets to go for a ride. When the vet comes to get her for her weight and then for her shot's and get her nails trimmed it's a whole different dog
Like so many other ppl here I've also noticed that dogs can love to go the vet. Even after 2 big surgeries she still likes to go there. Must be magical ppl working over there. :-)
What a happy guy. Dr. Scott, you are so kind. Most importantly, you are real. I appreciate your descriptions of conditions. Even with the medical ease you turn it into easily understood info. Well done, doc!
The King Charles is one of those poor breeds who's health has been completely sacrifice on the altar of human ego, that has no regard for the animals well being. And yes, in my opinion, the Breeders who uphold these "suffering standards" are just as guilty as the Organisations that determine the standards in the first place. It should become mandatory that all the crippled breeds must undergo a "backward breeding"-program to return them to the originally healthy dogs they once were (also applies to cats and all other breed-abused species).
