I have a love hate with this gun. Sometimes it beams but also games where it’s just a hit marker machine. So many gunfight where I swear I’ve shot first but some stg or mp40 just melts me
That’s because the stg is currently broken. People are setting it up as a 2 shot kill weapon giving it 80ms ttk. You can’t compete with it until it’s nerfed
@@lMegumemesl I don't it'll be too long after integration when the CW meta guns get hit hard with nerfs in favor of the Vanguard guns. That said, I definitely think the Automaton, StG, MP-40, and Owen Gun are going to be the top weapons.
I think the recoil booster barrel attachement is worth mentioning, as the recoil increase in almost nothing for this gun and the increased fire rate helps get those 5 hits faster.
I pick a gun and take to max level then move onto another gun. Did the NZ41 first and almost done with the Automaton. This thing is a laser! Love it and starting to see more and more people using it.

As an LMG player, would love to see you give the LMG’s the same treatment. I unfortunately have a Texas Public Education, thus all the math is above my head. I am going for Diamond camo in LMG, and I only know what “feels” best to me. Would love to see where math/statistics are vs what feels best to me. Finishing up my 3rd gold LMG tonight, with Bren left to get. Have to say DP27 feels the best to me. I play a long range camper style. Would love to see and hear the opinions of other players. Honestly, i just got the game over this free weekend (Wanted to try it out before buying) and the Automaton is becoming one of my favorite guns, i just feel its a bit lackluster prior to getting high level attachments but with the double xp this weekend, that shouldnt be an issue. Your guides are also super informative, first found your channel during MW2019 and have been watching every video since. They truly help with performance in games, amazing work Ace.
Glad they added the Fedorov Avtomat! It's one of my favorite weapons of all time. Also it was used during the Continuation War and WW2 proper by Russian Reconnaissance units. Which it's underrepresented in.
My go-to gun since day 1. Tried others but still come back to this. Never thought about the high damage build bc I love the accuracy but that's why ACE is the best in town! Thx bro. Def going to check it out.
I dislike how the second barrel doesn’t have iron sights. I refuse to use optics in a WW2 game unless it’s for a challenge, so I’m forced to use the spider web sight which makes the gun 🤮

Ace, love your videos man keep it up! One thing to point out, even though the TTK isn’t as fast and it’s a 5 shot kill, the fact that there is almost no bloom makes it potentially faster than other guns assuming the same accuracy. If you’re missing one or two shots of “better” guns due to bloom, and you hit every shot with the automaton, it’s hands down the winner.
I was using this gun (because I bought the ridiculously cool mastercraft for it) and maxed it out pretty easily (even though it still took forever) and I had one of the most fun games I've ever had. I was playing by myself and got matched with a squad of people in patrol on the paradise map. The enemies were relentless and took a 50 point lead. However thanks to me getting a few great feeds and laser-ing people through the choke points (combined with the rest of my team playing the objective) we pulled off a 50 point lead for the victory.
I found a really good automaton class not mentioned here. - Recoil Booster - Mark VI Skeletal - Empress 620MM Precision - 8MM Klauser Rifle 50 Round - Hallow Point - MK 3 Sunfilter (or any sight) - Stippled Grip - Empress Broadsword - Tight Grip - Fully Loaded It does 21 damage to the body, and 48 to the head with 800 rpm. 270 ms Sprint out and ADS. 1000 M/S bullet velocity. And recoil is 74.8 deg/s vertical, 18.5 deg/s horizontal, and 2640.0 M/S^2 Centering speed. It’s a 4 shot kill if you hit one headshot, and 3 shot if you hit two which I found is very easy to do with the super controllable recoil.
I used the Automaton in Champion Hill and that thing was a laser, like a better m13. Then you showed that it was the highest Accuracy AR which made me like it even more
The M13 shoots faster. This gun has the fire rate of the M4A1. This gun is exactly what the Type 2 was in Infinite Warfare - same fire rate and similar or same accuracy.
Just a few days started to use the high damage automaton, and it became my favorite weapon. I just changed the hand stop with the craver and FMJ with Hollow point
Just finished the AS44, and working on this gun. Glad to see this video and breakdown. Glad to see balance within the attachments. 3 shot kill, but heavier recoil. 4 shot kill but all upper torso. I like to see things like this. I just hope its built in all of the guns where something is sacrificed.
Hoping the Underbarrel and Rear Grip guide videos come out soon since I'm completely stuck on which ones to use to mitigate recoil. I typically switch between Polymer Grip, Pine Tar Grip, Stippled, and Rubber Grip for the Rear Grip. Not sure if I should be looking at the advanced stats that show the degrees or the Stat bar, since the Stippled and Polymer Grips raise the "Accuracy" stat the most

Learning all optimal ways to build (and how not to build) each gun in this game could be an actual class at school... so many attachments with so many effects, crazy
Fun fact: this gun is (visually) based on the Avtomat Fjodorowa, which strangely has about half the fire rate of the gun in the game and much more recoil.
Am I the only one who thinks the ttk in this game is way too fast? You get melted instantly, theres usually no chance to fight back and the sbmm makes it even worse bc everyone has god-like aim.
Doubled edged sword. Sometimes I marvel how easy it is to melt someone, but there’s also times where I’m like “damn I died without even a chance to fight back”. Also, I’m a console player… but I feel like the aim assist is way too strong. It might be a factor as to why it feels like the TTK is too high, a lot of people get bailed by aim assist.
Health needs to be increased to 150 from 100 for sure. If someone is equal skill or even slightly worse as you and you're challenging them and they're already ads on you for instance if you turn the corner and they're expecting you, you will never be able to win when the ttk is .2ms. You die before you can even ads. That's ridiculous. Whoever shoots first always wins when all you have to do is hit 2 to 3 shots to the body with most of these guns.
Honestly the TTK only gets bad once people use weapons with attachments that decrease it. Also going from Cold War where the TTK was pretty slow to this game where to surpasses MW's in some cases can be jarring.
@@dillonc7955 Well obviously lol... who here isn't going to use attachments. The TTK needs to be balanced with attachments. Cold Wars TTK was more favorable for a player with high gun skill. If all I have to do is aim and hit 2 shots the skill ceiling is not as high as someone who needs to control recoil while hitting several more shots.
for that first setup you could 100% stack more recoil control on it to lessen the huge vertical climb. there are better foregrips and rear grips for that imo

I feel there's going to be a lot of changes. I set up the Owen gun to have a insane ttk, partly by accident, almost as fast as the 100 with the bug. I put on a barrel thats meant to boost head shots and reduce body shots but it just shreds everywhere.
The Top Break pistol is the most underated gun for me. It has a barrel attachment that reduces your shot's body multiplier, but increases your headshot damage so much that it allows for a 1 shot headshot even with the 9mm bullets that decreases damage. This pistol is pure skill and one-tapping enemies. It can also be a no skill gun if you build it with the bird shot ammo type. It's even better than the MW snake shot because of a higher fire rate and you can put on a silencer, which is good for when they add it to Warzone!
I have this and the STG gold so far! Well, all the camos I can do for the auto. Last camo wants me to use the assassin proficiency….but there’s not one.. but I’ll count it gold til they fix it :)
I’ve ranked up the automaton all the way, and now that i’m using the BAR I can’t pick one or the other with my current setup, they’re both amazing, low recoil fast killing guns
@@You0nlyLiveonce it is 100% a two shot after you get the last 2 ammo types. It takes a bit to get used to and the base gun doesn't feel real good until you can get that ammo
I like to think this is one of the reasons why it became so prevalent later down the line, but it is more likely due to how the pros eventually figured how easy it was to use. still it is interesting to think how this gun was initially looked down on

First Gun I started to level up and I kept telling all my friends to try it out but they won’t because the Type 100 is better in their eyes. We play HC so I don’t get why they stack damage to the type 100 when it doesn’t really need it. I use the Automoton because of the low recoil
What's going on with the jumping and sliding accuracy? I could be wrong but it seems like it's improving the sticky aim or accuracy in general. I don't think i ever seen such accuracy while performing those moves before!!!

If you are using the sniper barrel or the burst barrel I would suggest using incendiary rounds as they can help secure a 4 shot kill
The MG42 is literally insane once you get it leveled up. The movement is on the slow side (as anticipated) but the power is super nice.
The way I mod it is by maxing fire rate as much as possible. It shreds.

Doing the switching to secondary weapon challenge, I held down a side of Red Star with this gun as my primary, went 30-1 that game. Such a good gun.

Funny how, in spite of COD WWII getting the rates of fire of several guns wrong, they actually got it right for this one in that game, go figure.
The bar in single fire mode is op, especially when you put on attachments that help initial recoil with the 3rd barrel

I play nothing but HC and ttk is longer, I use ARs and I need more than 2 bullets to kill

That burst rof needs a massive buff. 900 RPM is usually what a 3 round burst gun gets, this should be 1100 minimum

I’ve ranked up the automaton all the way, and now that i’m using the BAR I can’t pick one or the other with my current setup, they’re both amazing, low recoil fast killing guns
Just started on the bar, is it worth leveling all the way? Does it get a 2 shot?
@@You0nlyLiveonce There is a reason why the BAR is the only gun in the game currently GA'd by the pros in scrims and matches.
@@You0nlyLiveonce it is 100% a two shot after you get the last 2 ammo types. It takes a bit to get used to and the base gun doesn't feel real good until you can get that ammo

Built the same "high damage" class setup and it looks like they made the recoil more controllable since then. 123.7 vertical and 56.9 horizontal
Basically this will become the Grau or m13 when all is said and done. That 97 meters will be nice if it stays that way for wz
I like to think this is one of the reasons why it became so prevalent later down the line, but it is more likely due to how the pros eventually figured how easy it was to use.

The stg is a 2 shot with the barrel and vital, one to the chest up and one anywhere else. You don't need 30. Short.

Seems like the Automaton is this game’s version of the Kilo 141 or the Krig 6
First Gun I started to level up and I kept telling all my friends to try it out but they won’t because the Type 100 is better in their eyes. We play HC so I don’t get why they stack damage to the type 100 when it doesn’t really need it. I use the Automoton because of the low recoil

What's going on with the jumping and sliding accuracy? I could be wrong but it seems like it's improving the sticky aim or accuracy in general. I don't think i ever seen such accuracy while performing those moves before!!!
Can you please pleeeeease test out frags!? Specifically the gammon bomb I’ve thrown them at what used to be kill proximity and now it’s like throwing blackcats?
