I’m not a podcast guy, but I’d totally watch a podcast hosted by Doug and Hoovie.
Damn, please, Doug!
You just did
I said last sunday doug video that at this point he might as well start an automotive podcast, because this is essentially one without the production and label.
I’m not a feature film guy, but I’d watch Doug DeMoovie.
@@invermere2879 i feel like you tried a little too hard here, but luckily the outcome was brilliant so it overshadows the tryhardyness of it.
Absolutely losing it at Tyler teasing Doug "it sounds better too"
Ngl starting to enjoy these videos a lot more than Doug's car reviews
Doug got very close to saying something that probably would have delved a little too close to Tyler’s current personal circumstances.
I paused and came to the comments because I knew I'd see it at the top
That was great! Doug got roasted 😂
@@sgilmour22 "That's why you're paying 2 child support checks... "
I feel like doing these vids has been kinda refreshing to Doug tbh, it feels like he's having more fun now that he's somewhat over his peak and chilling
Absolutely. Taking the C&B buyout was one of the best things he could have done.
@@AdamG1983 as a long time Doug fan I agree. Now he can review whatever cars he wants and not give a damn about the views
It's basically Doug's version of podcasts but they're not 2 hours long luckily
nah he still needs to get into his groove, he needs to pay for that new Carrera GT
Peaked? Peaked, Dee?
Let me tell you something, I haven't even begun to peak. And when I do peak, you'll know. Because I'm gonna peak so hard that everybody in Philadelphia's gonna feel it.
"You and me could install a body kit in here in a couple hours"
I would watch that
Yes. I feel like that was a statement that Doug can't back up.
Major respect to Doug for standing by Tyler through these hard times, real ass friend frfr.
Wait fill me in. What happen with Tyler?
What happ to hoovie
He publicly filed for divorce, he has two kids by 2 women now, so he will now be paying 2 child supports, and he's getting a vasectomy to make sure he doesn't have more untimely children.
@@JustaPersonTryinToHuman365 he has two kids? weve seen one in the vids right?
@@JustaPersonTryinToHuman365 THIS… is a tragedy
Hey Doug, my dad just passed away, and it’s been really hard for me without him, we used to see your reviews all the time together so I thank you for giving me this memories, he’s with me watching this video in a better place ❤
These 2 should install a body kit for a video now that’d be fun
You just know Doug has no idea how to use a simple screw driver.
@@thomasfoster2you assuming us Chicago boys don't know how to change a lightbulb? 🤣🤣🤣
But then being clueless would make it more entertaining no. Maybe get the wizards help lol
@@thomasfoster2 ur saying that like so cal doesnt have the biggest car scene
Even if this has to go virtual for logistics reasons, please keep these coming! Even a short podcast format would be sweet. Hoovie and doug go together like peanut butter and chocolate.
Totally agree with Doug on those pre-merger Hammers. They're wildly over-valued and just not very special. Being rare does not automatically mean something is good.
Case in Point: Per Wikipedia, Acura sold 7,191 ZDXs. Thus, a ZDX is about twice as rare as a Lamborghini Gallardo (14,022 units), but certainly not twice as desirable.
I agree with you 💯. I think one of the issues with this car market is that the buying demographic has changed since the pandemic. Meaning, it’s no longer only the enthusiast buying cars, you have some people looking to diversify their wealth with luxury items. There are buyers today who don’t really care about the car of the brand, they are looking at parking some cash in something they feel will appreciate over time. They only look at production numbers
If he could have bought one for 50k and they are now worth one million he has every right to regret not getting one tho.
counterpoint: they look cool
@@ouijabored45 They look like an old merc with a body kit. They don't look like a million dollar car, and they sure don't drive like a million dollar car.
Doug really had us thinking THE Morgan Freeman was driving a 993 Turbo lol
And is not a Seinfeld episode.
Turned out it was Morgan Fairchild's Porsche.
Hoovie gaslighting Doug into letting him drive the Carrera GT again is priceless
Imagine just sitting in a garage with a CGT in it, petting a doggo, talking about cars.
Fucking. Scored.
I WILL EAT YO NUTRITIONIST
None of my wealthy friends care about cars. To which I continue to this day asking them what the point of being wealthy is.
You and Hoovie should just do a weekly podcast at this point, like what Matt Farah does. I remember you talking with him in wonder and amazement about the superchat messages and how people just pay to get their questions answered. It would be super entertaining!
I am absolutely cracking up, listening to Tyler push Doug's buttons, about his Porsche Carrerra GT. This is just too funny!
Now I know Hoovies lost it thinking a Murcielago sounds better than a Carrera GT. Loving this casual chat series.
I'd argue there's a point to be made there. It's the best sounding V12 Lamborghini has made to this day.
Get it up on the rev range and you'll see, the Murciélago does sound better
Woow good to see you here BTW sumsung better
@@RageHP-RageHorsePower Lol
But it really does though…
12:32 Doug about to hit Hoovie with "this is why your wife left you" 😭
💀💀
His wife left him? Haven't been keeping up on hoovie
@@username7274 I read he's the one who filed for divorce, but yeah they split
😭😭😭
watching hoovie just trolling doug about the carrera gt at every opportunity was hilarious
I want Hoovie to be a permanent sidekick
No
You made Arthur Dent mad asf😂
That's the plan. So Doug can progressively step out. Schmee tried doing that but it didn't work out, views went down.
@@Rodisflawless I don't believe that
@@Rodisflawless who was schmee's sidekick?
Doug: “Hey Tyler you wanna talk about cars we regret buying?”
Tyler: “How much time you got?”
At that point he may as well just link to his RUclips channel.
I loved the Sudden Noodle Appearance.
12:33 Doug barely had enough control not to say :"this is why your wife left you" 😂
Pretty sure Hoovie was staying with Doug while his ex was emptying the house and he's so kind he will give him 50% of his AdSense money on these videos.
That is a lot of speculation xD
Does he talk about it? I barely watch hid videos lately (any videos for that matter, kid taking most of my time...).
@@a3-radio People in RUclips comments love to believe they know everything about people they watch on the internet.
@@SupThomas Honest to god, I got sick of reading comments like "I knew all along she was a gold digger" - Maybe that's true, who the fuck knows, the RUclips professional analysts in the comments lol.
TOTALLY!
When he said “unlike the Carrera, GT” Doug’s reaction was hilarious. He knows how to push Doug’s buttons 😂
I mean, when it's truly your dream car, it's a pretty significant part of your net worth in your collection, and it costs over $1m by itself... yeah.
I regret not buying a Honda CRX Si back when they were really cheap. What a fun little car those were and you used to be able to get a decent one for $2000. The values on those and other 80s and 90s Hondas are insane these days.
I remember my dad had a chance to get an ‘06 GT in 2009 for close to $100k. He always tells me how much he regrets not getting one
All the respect for Doug to partner Tyler with these videos. He seems like a great friend to have. Respect.
Love that Hoovie was trolling Doug about his Porsche , so funny
Their dynamic is hilarious. Doug almost hit him with the “this is why you’re getting divorced”
The Morgan Freeman story reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George buys a Chrysler Le Baron convertible from John Voight...the periodontist.
Of course I know him! We went to dental school together!
I had the same experience with Gregory Peck’s bicycle and Barbara Mandrell’s skateboard.
I bought a Plymouth Reliant once owned by Morgan Fairchild, yeah that's right.
The Hoovie - Doug dynamic is priceless. Thanks guys
Can relate on the 993TT, Doug. It was my dream car as a kid, similar to what the CGT was for Doug. So I bought a 993TT in 2011 for $52K. Owned it for a year and a half and ended up selling it for $56K because wife and family. It’s now worth over $200K. There’s videos of it posted here on my channel running through muffler bypass pipes. It was glorious.
These commentary videos are a refreshing new format, I hope you do more. I'd love to see Doug & Matt Farah next!
would be interesting. i imagine matt not taking much jokes on himself
Doug goes on Matt's podcast frequently and they're always great episodes
Doug! I love seeing you not in character like your regular videos. Not a hack on you just love hearing your stories. Hoovie! Love ya man! Great video!
Hoovie: Carrera gt
Doug: 👀 WE'LL MOVE ON...
LOL
Doug and Hoovie are a joy to watch
The one car that still haunts me that I did not buy (because I couldn't) was a first gen NSX. I was 14 (2009) looking for my first car with a budget of 4k and somehow found a couple first gen NSXs with high miles. I begged my mom to buy me one. They were around 25K to 30K and I saw one at an Acura dealership for 92K while buying my wife an Integra. Loved the video and instantly brought this to mind.
Doug’s the type of dude that lets his guest host subtly massage his hand in his intro
Then goes to MANLY Thumbwresteling,
Yeah… hmmm…. 🤔😂
I like to think Hoovie and Doug are making these colabs because Tyler is currently sleeping on Doug’s couch
😂😂😂
taking over noodle's bed hahaha
SuperDougs Kryptonite is insulting his beloved Carrera. Hoovie was hammering that car for all he was worth. Doug's eyes were flapping like he was having a seizure. Doug clearly loves that Carrera. I can't say I blame him. What a machine. Bad Hoovie. lol.
He crossed the line with "(Murci) drives better than a Carrera GT" and then doubled down without even blinking! Slightly poor form from Hoovie, but isn't Doug being just a tad sanctimonious about the CGT? It's a special car but there's nothing wrong with preferring the Murcielago's subjective intangibles.
@@RearWheelZeal they are just teasing and playing i would think. so no harm no foul
@@hungryalien Tyler showed a lack of class for sure. The foul is his and the harm is arguably to his own reputation. You want to trash on an enthusiast's ride that's one thing. But when they've staked a huge investment on it and you're a guest on their platform I think an ounce of politeness goes a long way.
So akward but so genuine, you can tell they respect and get each other but have wildly different views towards cars.. So cool to watch. You guys work together
When you add up how many vehicles you’ve owned it’s more than you first imagine. On average I’ve had a vehicle every 2 years though I’ve owned each one for a few years. Over 40+ years it’s hard to believe.
I really don't get why the 2zz would be looked at as a bad thing in the Elise. It's a Toyota engine co-developed with friggin Yamaha. 8500rpm and more than 100hp per litre in stock NA form. That's more than enough for a car that weighs less than 2k lbs. I have much more confidence in a Toyota-yamaha engine being reliable than one specifically built by lotus. It also sounds pretty cool for a 4 cylinder too. Kinda like a sport bike.
Same-ish story for the Camry engine in the Evora. It makes great power, sounds cool with a lotus exhaust and it's reliable.
Both these cars had supercharged versions too...What's not to love? Just because Toyota is stamped on the side of the block doesn't mean it's slow and boring.
12:32 damn was Doug really about to go there???
Just wanted to come and say that these videos have been extremely entertaining. Thanks!
Doug's reactions 2:06 after Hoovie says how important is the hammer to car history and tries to argue the price... ARE JUST GOLD! I don't know who idea was but they definitely got it!
Love my Exige! Looks great, reliable, but definitely glad it's not my only sportscar. Nothing else like it on a perfect day and perfect road.
This is a hilarious episode. Hoovie teasing doug is the best
The vids where Doug and Hoovie just "shoot the sh*t" are my favs
What's "shoot the shit" mean?
I love that you guys are friends, it’s like 2 titans of the industry that can just make jokes and chill. Great video 🤙
CNC makes a cameo in this video, cool to see Doug’s old house in a video again
I thought Doug stopped using them because they were doing shady business practices
@@AdamG1983 CNC shut down a while back. Source: I live 8 minutes away.
@@anoneemous406 And now you can buy a Tesla there!
Hoovie continually shitting on the CGT and Doug’s reaction is the absolute best 😉
Doug and Hoovie Talk Cars. It's a beautiful Sunday morning.
Great stuff to you and Tyler! I regret getting rid of my Supra, 360 Modena, and a modified IS300.
those sportcrosses are such cool cars, i met a guy at a meet with one and he had almost 200k miles on it, looked impeccable, no issues, only mods were exhaust and new shocks/springs. between that and those tsx wagons i wish they both did better
Doug and Hoovie and the perfect opposites attract relationship. They have a similar natural report that May, Clarkson, and Hammond have.
Love this! We got to see more of you guys talking or doing stuff with your cars!
I’m so glad these videos are back. These are a delight to watch. Would definitely listen to a podcast.
This is the sassiest conversation I've seen two straight men have and I love it
Love these videos. Keep ‘Em coming Doug & Hoovie!
LOL. Great collab guys. With a subject such as this and Hoovie joining Doug, I expected this video to be hours. Tyler is the KING of bad automotive decisions. 😂
As a Seinfeld fan I was dying laughing when Doug said he wanted to buy the Porsche because it belonged to Morgan Freeman the actor but found out it was a different Morgan freeman and then hoovie says he regrets buy the Lebaron and there’s an episode of Seinfeld where George gets persuaded by a salesman into buying a LeBaron claiming that it had previously been owned by Jon Voight. Later after he buys it he finds out it was not the actor Jon Voight, but some random man named John (with an H) Voight lol
It was Morgan Fairchild's Porsche actually.
Hovie has some Jeff Goldblum vibes.
Yeah, I hate it 😂
@nomenclature9607 Not a hovie follower, just noticed, did a quick search of the comments and found none.
I do enjoy these regular Saturday Videos including the Cars & Bids Live Streams you did the past 2 Weeks!
And yes, your Live Streams still have some Technical Issues, but that's normal when you start and try Stuff, so don't get disencouraged from all the People in the Live Chat who complained about a lot of silly Stuff
Prost & Cheers from the Bavarian Alps
Loving these hoovie and Doug vids!
Fun episode Doug and Hoovie!
Thanks guys!
(Funny editing too)
Hoovie seems like he's Doug's younger brother 🤣🤣🤣
They both seem like older and younger brothers at the same time
Which is hilarious because Tyler is actually a few years older than Doug.
Noodle might be the greatest dog of all time
He’s a wonderdog
And he has a bed more expensive than the entire house of anybody watching.
Such a nice video, Doug. The beautiful story about the Smart. What a professional.
The videos with you two are always good. Thanks.
Watching Doug become a flaming Porsche guy in real-time 😂
Some John Voight Seinfeld vibs with that story Doug. lol
I was looking for this comment 😂
I bought Porsche once owned by Morgan Fairchild, yeah that's
Cars you regret not buying because they went up in value is just a fancy way of saying you wish you had more money.
I love this series!
I had the chance to buy a 1957 BMW 507 roadster in 1987 for $12,500....but I had just started what turned out to be my auto restoration career at age 20 and hadn't built up enough credit yet
Hoovie biggest regret.....any purchase, partnership, or commitment to anything, car or otherwise, from southeast Asia.
Harsh but smart humor
When Doug said he's owned 34 cars, Hoovie should have said "rookie numbers"
Love this new style of Doug’s videos. Keep it up
Every single car is a piece of history, but not necessarily a good piece of history we need to keep with us in the present
Ten grand is still real money, daddy Doug.
this is the best series, and I LOVE IT!!!!!
Love the edits!!
I love these crossover episodes.
i'd rather have a sedan tbh
Is300 are cool either way. Got that 2jz
These two going at each other is hilarious!!!!! X.D
I love the banter going between you two. The chemistry is there, for sure.
You two make a good team. Ya'll have fun. Made my day
My friend in high school had a beautiful 1972 240Z. He'd replaced the standard 4 speed with a 5 speed from a a 280Z, and it had wider tires than stock, handled incredibly for its day. I knew the car very well and knew the work on it was quality, as it was his daily driver and I'd ridden in it a lot. He wanted to sell it and I wanted to buy at an extremely fair price but it was "too sporty" for someone my age, so said my mom and her bf.
So instead they let me buy a 1967 Mustang with a 289 and 4 speed. Car was the same age as I was. What could go wrong in just 16 years (cars became old so fast back then)? I did not know what that car was the dark night I bought it, but I did become illuminated to the fact that it had no clutch, no brakes (drums all around) and the floor boards were rusted through. Shocker that happened in spite of the new undercoating, go figure! Lmao. And even when the brakes and clutch were replaced it was still a terrible chore to drive that could never be classified as fun. (I've driven or owned examples of every other generation through the 2005 other than the Mustang II, and I don't need to in order to know it's not any exception; no one can tell me that any generation of Mustang is a real car)
In the ultimate irony, I sold that Mustang for $40 to the friend who wanted to sell me the Datsun just to get it out of my driveway when my mom moved. 40 years later and I still give my mom shlt about that.
The cuts on this with movies is glorious. Bravo. Please keep hoovie coming. You two together are great.
I love these videos with Hoovie and Doug
I’ve never watched Tyler‘s content until he showed up on your channel, and he gained a subscriber after I watched your first video together. You guys are awesome together and I completely agree with people saying y’all should do a podcast
I want to see more videos with the doggo enjoying the rides man!! 🐶😍🚗🌬
The dog was the true star of the video
I would love to see the video of hoovie and Doug trying to install a body kit on a Mercedes. Would be super interesting
Doug & Hoovie embody “Quirks & Features” 4:20
But which one of them is “Features”? Ok..they’re both “Quirks”-and I’m here for it. More Doug/Hoovie duo content please🤙🏼
I love the dynamic. One of the funniest yet.
Poor Hoovie. That dude seems like his soul has been sucked out of his body. The best is yet to come for that Guy, I’m sure of it.
What happened to Hoovie?
0:02 cutest moment in Doug's channel.
My biggest regret was passing on two different BMW E30 M3s. One red, one white, each for $12,000 around 15 (20?) years ago. Knowing what I know now though, I probably would not have been able to maintain them in the way I would want for such a cool car and I wouldn't have had access to the shops that can keep the mechanicals serviced properly. And TBH I'm not sure I'd enjoy driving one as much as a 325ix.
This was a good watch lol hey @DougDemuro are you able to review the new Mazda CX-90 me and my wife have been looking at it but we love watching your reviews
These two guys are my youtube super hero’s.
Why? One of them married an ungrateful ladyboi that divorced him and took half his shit to where he had to get his balls cut off, and the other one is just a big weirdo
The best duo now … so cool and fun videos 😎☺️☺️☺️🤝….
Doug's the kind of guy to have his favorite car made fun of and immediately go to personal attacks 😂
The Morgan Freeman Porsche story reminds me of the John Voight Lebaron episode of Seinfeld 😂😂😂😂
The chemistry here is wonderful! More of this please! Also, seeing 2 automotive enthusiast legends discussing their historic woes? Makes me never want to buy a used car again…what other kind of garbage is lurking out there waiting to pounce on a unsuspecting consumer?
