I've seen so many German, English, French, Swiss, Slovenian etc Car Spotters end up owning a Supercar because of their Carspotting Content and then they see some old "Volkswagen Kadett" or "Opel Manta" and freak out while sitting in a 300k Euro Car

For some Reason Carspotting is less popular in the USA than here in Europe, where to be fair that Trend originated from.
I regularly watch hour long European Carspotting Videos since like 2010 from any Country, you see some of the most rare Stuff in those.
I guess maybe in the USA it's less of a huge Thing because most People in the USA who own really rare and exciting Cars rarely drive them, and if they do, it's always in one big US City and only in the Luxury Shopping Area. While in European Countries you get to see a muddy Gemballa Mirage in like 20 different European Cities because over here even rich Collectors seem to drive their Cars all over the Place and regularly instead of treating them like an Investment

At 75 years old his daily is ‘13 GTI 6-speed and mine is a zero-option stripper of a ‘98 Maxima GXE 5-speed. His car magazine collection goes all the way back to the late-50’s and he has almost every issue of Car and Driver and Automobile. I literally learned how to read reading Car and Driver and could probably give you the performance specs on every car from the 90’s and early 00’s - from the mundane econoboxes to all of the exotics. Can probably identify the make and model of everything from those years just by the wheels or taillights. Car guys are the best!

these are so fun lol. i do the west africa street view thing, i'd honestly watch videos like these from everywhere in the world. Hoovie and Doug have a lot of knowledge on top so that definitely helps make them that extra bit interesting but just looking around is fun already

Only Doug and Hoovie can make regular car spotting with a Ferrari entertaining.

6:30 The Mercedes B-Class was a very interesting vehicle. My family leased one back in 2015 in Missouri, and while it was mentioned here in the video it was a compliance car for California, I remember it had so many problems while we owned it. It used early Tesla batteries and something about it made it have constant electrical and motor problems (which included the wole drivetrain needing to be replaced). It spent so much time in the dealership repair shop we filed a complaint under the lemon law to pay for it to be repaired.
While it was in the shop, we did however get some very nice S-classes to drive around as loaner vehicles, I won’t forget that. 😂

10:49 the Tercel wagon is sooo an underrated car tbh! toyota made its successor the corolla sprinter carib with awd and its also quite a good car.

Those first gen siennas will last forever, my parents bought an 03 Sienna Symphony new and it made it to 291k, got T boned in June 21’ and I found another 01’ fully loaded but mechanically totaled XLE (bad trans and knock sensors(both) along with a coolant consumption issue to put the drivetrain into.
Recently one of the knock sensors started failing on the original powertrain I swapped, only one though, so a cheap 5 min hack fix was to splice the wire from the bad knock sensor together with the good one, avoiding a $1600 fix that sometimes doesn’t work due to the harness failing. Over 310k on this powertrain and it still drives great. My Dad even hit a tree with it in Oct 22’ and just a new radiator later it was running again, although with a dented fender on this impossible Sailfin Blue Pearl color I can’t find a fender for in the yards.
