mid way: u need to press the metal thingies first, then insert the pans so u hear a click. it doesnt move =) I ordered Schminke & Daniel Smith dot cards. My head was spinning from the beautiful options x'D I don't know which i prefer yet in general so trying to get familiar with what i like n my style! Love what you selected ^^
Lovely colors ! Just to clarify, the Arches paper work best when they are stretched. You can wait till it’s completely dry or blot it with a paper towel and paint over it for the pores to open and absorb the paint.

I do like Schmincke but find them too expensive. Baohong is beautiful to work with

Quick question… how do you stretch it when it’s a block 😅? I’ve stretched single sheets for charcoal drawing
That helps cuz I wasn't seeing what all the rave about it was. I'll have to try this and see how I like it.
The Arches sizing expires because they use animal sizing. The Fabriano paper has vegetable sizing and it lasts longer.
That's a really nice custom palette. Mine is the exact opposite, very muted and nothing vibrant to find 😅
Nice haul!
I recognise that accent. Where r u from? Because I’m sure u aren’t from far from me.
Jackson’s also sell Baohong
That seems strange that Arches would expire because it is archival and should last 100 plus years
The sizing expires. I’m assuming the archival properties you mention are a different issue.
@@shadowguard3578 thanks for the education, i can understand that
