- Updated 2022 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 S First Look Review Polaris shocked the ATV world in 2020 with the launch of the 55” wide Scrambler S and Sportsman S models. After producing the number-one test video online from their March , 2019 press event in the Nevada desert, we went on to produce our Scrambler S series. In part one we tested the Scrambler XP 1000 S in the wooded trails of the eastern United States. In parts two, three, and four we put the Scrambler S up against the Polaris Sportsman XP 1000, Can-Am Outlander 1000R and the Yamaha Raptor 700R to help determine how this performance monster compared to the more traditional size big-bore ATVs currently on the market.
While the Sportsman S returned to Polaris lineup with the release of the other 2022 ATV models last year, we were a little sad that the Scrambler S was missing from the lineup. Especially considering Polaris had switched from Premium, reservoir equipped Walker Evans shocks on the Sportsman S to basic five-way preload adjustable shocks for the 2022 model year. In January of 2022 Polaris announced that the Scrambler S would be rejoining Polaris’ ATV lineup including its high-end Walker Evans shocks plus Polaris’ brand new Multi-Select electric power steering, and a bold new look for 2022.
With mixed feelings among our riders regarding the Scrambler’s power steering on the 2020 and 2021 models we were thrilled to the opportunity to throw a leg over the new updated version of Polaris ultimate thrill ride.
Our local Polaris dealer Midwest Polaris near Cincinnati Ohio is under new enthusiastic ownership. They were cool enough to house our Scrambler prior to testing and provide us with a rundown on what’s hot and what’s new with the Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 S for 2022.

Already an incredible machine for conquering the toughest terrain left behind by SXSs, we're excited to see what the addition of Polaris's multi-select EPS brings to the table. *SUBSCRIBE* so you don't miss our upcoming test of the 2022 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 S. If you want to binge watch Scrambler S action, check out the links in the video description.
18k for any atv is twice what it's worth
It's pricey.
It really should be in the 14-15k range to match can am, not in sxs range
@@jeffgayzose8129 That's a good point.
I bet they are alot more reliable than regular scrambler due to rzr parts
Ha, just stopped in here that dealership is awesome. Need a scrambler in my life 😮💨
We really like the new team at Midwest. They seem like a good bunch of real enthusiasts. I guess we need to go pick that Scrambler up and get it dirty.
@@ATVonDemand Ill go pick it up and get it dirty for you free of charge 😂lol, but yes very knowledgeable people. The pervious owners were great people too, have great core memories as a kid going to Hatfield McCoy trails with them. Have fun!
Sad part is most think it's just different suspension...
Share our test video with them and help them out.
Polaris..please build the scrambler 1000 for xc racing
Always love to see new stuff but all of us 2022 Sportsman s owners are really upset and continuing to work towards the shocks that we paid for being Walker Evans. We have e-mails,pictures,phone calls, and its even in our owners manual. Polaris themselves put in an email saying yes they were supposed to come with them. I love Polaris but, this has ruined the company for me.
We have heard of this. As a publication whose primary purpose is to help fellow enthusiasts purchase the right machine for them, we certainly understand the frustration of Sportsman S owners who purchased a 2022 Sportsman S sight unseen just to have it come in with a shock package that had been downgraded from previous model years. We understand your wanting to spread the word. We mentioned the suspension downgrade in this video and will in our Scrambler S test which should get a good volume of views. Sorry we didn't find out sooner.
Remember the days of sport atvs? Predator, Outlaw, 450s and 400s? all under 10k *sighs longingly*
Ikr. More capable machines too!
I bought one a few months ago have about 25 hours on it it’s has blown me away by it’s performance. I’d take a jump and think it was gunna hurt like hell but no it’s was the most plush landing and controlled. All the power I could ask for on straight aways dirt bike, many sxs and atvs can’t keep up. Best way I can describe it is it’s an cts-v caddy all the power but amazing ride Quality. My only complaint is the fuel economy is kind of poor after 40 miles of hard fast riding it’s almost empty but that could just be from my lead foot… haha it was a little Pricey after destination and assembly charge… it’s closer to 20k… so be prepared for that when buying one. Just after I bought mine the other locations that had one upped the price by almost 1,500
Are you guys out of kentucky
Cincinnati.
Nice
New for 2022! We're putting the stuff back on from 2020, that we ripped 2021 buyers off for!! Bold new colors! Higher price tag! It won't catch on fire like a RZR!
Whoever is thinking of buying one of these, check your OHV trail system rules. This quad is not legal to ride in my state
Why is it illegal? The only thing is it's to wide for most ohv atv trails which usually have a 50 inch width limit
2022 sportsman S buyer?
Sxs are more & more popular and sadly imo taken over the market & trails so I wouldn’t be too concerned about this 50” max crap those areas need to get real, we don’t have those limitations around here
looks like that dealership had plenty of inventory
Can it not be 18000
We wish.
can you plow snow with the new scrambler?
We believe so but we'll look into it.
That thing looks like a beast. Great video!
Thanks Joe, it definitely is!
A beast no doubt... 👍👍

#staciescountrycooking
They are doc. Have you ever ridden one?
@@ATVonDemand no I havent..
Shouldn’t be so expensive BUT I own one and it is an awesome machine, of all the quads I’ve owned Scrambler S is my favourite
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thing is a beast.
Throw a leg over one if you get a chance. One of the most unique ATV's on the market today. It's probably the most capable machine on the market for people that ride on worn out side by side trails.
@@ATVonDemand yeah, out west where there are jeep trails everywhere, this thing would be awesome.
Am I number 1
I would love to get one of these but I can’t justify the price they want for these just for them being wider and have slightly more travel. Nothing else changed so what’s with the massive price jump?
The entire machine is different lol its not just better suspension
Donald is correct. With the exception of the engine the rest of the machine is unique. A gallon of gas has gone from $3 to $4.50 in the past year and a 1/2 and the price of a scrambler S has gone up from around $15000 to $18000 in the same time period. The war on fossil fuels is contributing to the cost of everything going through the roof.
I call it Covid Tax its definitely worth it tho
How will they be manufactured, since most factories workers, worldwide, are starting to ail from the Kovid depopulation Culljections ?
Raise the price 3k so they can still continue to fund maybe omewhere else in the world other than China
I'm number 2
Mega crap
Only the shocks are good
