This guy is actually really good. It really puts into perspective how incredibly good Remy is... His neighbor has skills, but to Remy, makes it look like Childs play.
He is faster than me on a road bike, and makes better coffees...
Good to see Jack pushing himself after his big bike accident… pays to learn from the best, more people should get coaching.
@@remymetailler excuse me this question but, what pants are you wearing? Would like to buy ones. I enjoy every videos, by the way
That was a road bike crash! But it still makes me cautious on the mtb.
Remy is low-key a great friend 💪🤷♂️, always patient and encouraging
Nah, he is HIGH-key a great friend
Low rider too = small
Remy the pocket rocket?
I say hi whenever I see him - at a grocery store, at the recycling depot (feel for the guy, so much unpacking to do 😆), sometimes even at a trail head. Living in Squamish is nice for sure, but being his neighbor - that must be on another level!
Thanks for adding me in the vid at 3:35. It was fun seeing you and watching how you assess the trail. Great vid. Can’t wait for race day.
Good luck
REMY I need to see you rip one of those electric mountain bikes , give us a perspective from a pro like yourself!! I though I’d let you know it might make for a great video they are getting really popular
Great video, Remy. Lot's a solid feedback here. There was definitely an improvement in his flow and rhythm as the session progressed. I'd love to hear how the race goes for Jack!
Glad you included that tip over too 🤘😉
Thank you!
really like how Remy keeps coaching tips simple for such an amazing rider. I'm in my first year of MTB at age 50 and find all the videos entertaining to watch and helpful at the same time. Oh, and I find myself saying "yeah buddy" all the time now
As someone who signed up for my first proper enduro race over this summer, all of the tips you give him in this and the first video when you rode with him truly do give another point of view for how to ride faster, even down to pushing down on your bike more to get more grip. I would love to keep seeing videos like this where your helping people ride better/faster/smoother, because it does help
I will have some more
a high quality video once again guys ! I hope you tube can see that you are making riders SAFER and have more FUN !
Thank you!
Nice! Good luck 🏁
Enduro racing is the best 🍺🥇
I have greatly improved my riding in the last year and it’s mostly because of Remys videos! That and riding as much as possible. I study his body position on all his videos and try and imitate it. He also has the best break down of proper techniques and then shows it. Amazing!
I really enjoy the teaching episodes. The way Remy breaks it down is awesome.
Well done Rémy - Jack is a fast learner. So much progress between the two videos, and, what is even more impressive, so much progress in a day with you. 👌
great video , and awesome to see how much progress jack made in the second half , his lines were so much better , best tip for me is the breaking before corners and allowing the the bike to run when you can safely see the trail ahead , learnt loads , good luck in the race jack
Thank-you. I will need it!
I'm a huge fan of these educational videos, THANK YOU Remy!! I liked the concept of going wide into blind corners to get less surprised. Not necessarily the fastest way around but for sure the safest and potentially the fastest!
This is AWESOME every time I watch your videos I learn so much. Especially about where to break to carry more speed out.
Thank you !!!
I enjoy all your videos, but these coaching vids are my favorite. Not everyone is good at communicating technique effectively and it's really cool to see you do that so well. Content like this with terrain I can (almost) see myself riding and tips I can understand is incredibly helpful.
Love the video! Nice work Jack, love the Dad Jokes. Kids would be proud! Good luck!
30:17 I really like this advice. I learned this technique while riding motorbikes on switchback roads and iirc it's sometimes called the "motocross style cornering".
Aside from letting the bike have space to move, allowing it to flow under you while you stay straight is also a form of energy saving (by only needing to move your arms and legs instead of also your torso) as your straight body acts as a centrifugal force against the bike allowing it to maintain lean angle without it falling over, while also allowing it to straighten up quicker once you clear a feature.
Edit: the technique is called counter lean.
actually, motorbike riders do the opposite because they dont have sideknobs. they rather lean their body than their bike.
@@ricaaat I suggest you watch tight maneuvers on a dual sport/motocross bike. They lean the bike down while keeping their body straight as counterweight while feathering the throttle to induce a centrifugal force.
@@mangoshake ive seen many motorcycle races and in general, they lean their body more inside than their bike, at high speeds
@@ricaaat that's because it's a motorcycle race. Their lean angles are supported by very high speed. The riders lean in to counteract the centrifugal force created by the bike. Practical biking and navigating tight spaces don't require that much lean because you want the bike to be maneuverable.
Jack looks great out there! Solid coaching from Remy will do that for you. Great video and chock full o' excellent tips for anyone! Cheers!
Thank you
Such a quality video, seriously love these coaching-style ones at any level. I've just done a cornering session with my coach, and it's really cool hearing you sharing the same advice here that she gave me.
Thanks Remy, excellent tutorial. All of your footage is a cut above the rest. Awesome work 👍
Damn, if I got that sort of feedback before races I wonder how I'd improve in times, good work on preparing him Remy.
Is Jack going to beat Jesse Melamed this week end?! Click here to help the channel: bit.ly/3HeWUlm
Welp he couldn’t even find a better coach if he wanted too lol “here you go princess” 🤣🤣
Always learning so much watching your videos . Great progression on this video . Great job 👏
This is so well timed. I have my first enduro race next week. So glad they don't time the climb.
Great video. I think learning to brake at the ride point of the trail at the ride time at the right modulation is one of the hardest and also best skills to maintain flow... And remy is obviously a master at this.
Thanks for repeating time and again to make yourself heavy while breaking early. This is good stuff.
@Remy Metailler Id love to see a video on how you set up and check your suspension for the type of riding you are doing! Both you and I use DVO suspension and I would love to see your thought process around your suspension!
Funny how you can’t overstate the basics. Look through the corners, brake hard before the turn, weighing the pedals. Remy is really sharp at noticing subtle mistakes and line choices. Good stuff!
Thank you!
Thanks for making this man, There are some good nuggets in here!
We ran into you on Saturday at the top of the trail. I wish I could ride it one more time before the enduro after watching this.
Good luck Saturday
Yes, this is awesome. Also my first race, and good tips for the old veterans category. Hopefully can apply, especially the log jump.
This is very usefull, thanks Remy. I‘ll try your tips directly tomorrow on the trail. 👍🏻
Keep up with this kind of videos. They are very instructive💯👑
Great video Remy…my favourite tip was brake hard before the corner and then let go….I’m always feathering the brakes round then I have slow exit speed….so gonna practice…..thanks🤘🤘🤘
Good job Remy! Very professional
This is certainly too cool. Good luck on the race!!
i actually love enduro. one of my favorite mtb genders.
Thank-you!
Awesome! Every tip was so helpful
Thank you for watching!
Great video, Remy! So much good feedback and Jack implemented your tips so fast. Maybe you can do another video with him in the future focussed on how to move midair during jumps. Would be awesome to see how counter-rotation on hip landings and scrubs/whips can help to improve stability. Safer and more Style :)
Noted! Scrub video coming in a little bit!
So much knowledge dropped in this video, can not wait to apply these tips & tactics this weekend. Thanks Remy 🍻
Glad to hear it!
The best MTB teacher for sure 💯. Amazing work Remy, love your content!! 👌👌
Great video. The best tip for me its the braking tip. Make Heavier and point your heels down. makes lot of diference.
Supèr Rèmy!!! Very interesting tips, such us that of the tree in corner!
I notice that he open the corner at the exit, as happen to me, and I saw at 13:54 that he keeps his torso out. I probably do it too! Very interesting , great video Rèmy, thanks!!
I can tell he will be a good enduro racer just because remy is coaching him.
ahahaha that is going to boost his confidence!
Good video! Thank you! 💪
Really enjoyed the video. I'd be interested to hear how Jack gets on.... not necessarily what position etc, but whether in the race he managed to apply the learnings or reverted to his 'older' habits. Maybe a theme for some future videos: tutoring Jack and tracking his improvements in races?
I wish I could race behind him to see that would be awesome!
Great coaching! It's great to watch coaching with someone who is already pretty damn good. It answers that question I always ask myself "How TF are the pros shaving MINUTES off stages compared to my times?"
Awesome content! Your friend could really benefit from leaning the bike in the corners . good luck at the race!
Excellent video .. biggest tips - let the bike move under you - scan near / far near / far ..😊 thank u fit the great videos
Cool, thanks a lot!
Very good and interesting Video. His skills grows Up fast 💪👍💥
everyone needs a neighbor coach like remy
straight line tip instead of the small turns is my favorite 👍
REMY, SOY TA FAN, QUE GRAN VIDEO ACABAS DE COMPARTIR, Y SOBRE TODO LA EXPLICACION DE DONDE Y COMO USAR LOS FRENOS Y LA POCISION DEL CUERPO, EN UNA CURVA SE TE FUE LA BICICLETA EN UNA CURVA HACIA ABAJO Y LA SUPISTE CONTENER, SOLO SE ESCUCHO TU GRITO DE SORPRESA POR QUE PRACTICAMENTE YA SE VEIA UNA CAIDA, PERO POR ESO ERES UN MASTER, LO SALVASTE BIEN, ME GUSTAN MUCHO TUS VIDEOS Y ESTE NO FUE LA EXCEPCIÓN, Y EL ULTIMO CAMINO, WOW COMO VAN "BOMBEANDO" LA BICI EN EL TRAIL, FANTASTICO TRABAJO EL QUE TIENES, SALUDOS DESDE MEXICO, ME FALTO VISISTARTE EN EL FREE RIDE EN JALISCO.
Neighbor has best Teacher ^^
Sick! Gives me stuff to work on on my next ride!
Jack has a good sense of humor.
If you can’t be fast, be funny!
We Need more Remy's 🚵👍
good luck Jack
Thank you Mrs Brown
I WISH I was your neighbor so I get get all those gems in tips and also to ride with you hahahaha ... legendary
I already bought some Julbos thanks to Remy.. but what glasses was your neighbor wearing??
POC devour
mega nice...hallo from Germany 🤙🥳
I have never seen a video this early after being released!
RUclips must think it is good then!
Verry nice Video again 🤟😍
Nice!
Man I wish I was at the level of the one learning lol!
Ordered some of the STFU products, thanks for the discount!!
🔥🔥
Hey remy what hydration pack were you using?
Continuez votre bon travail
From now on, I'm gonna ride like Remy is on my ass! I will haul!
Nice video. But shouldn't there be also some advices on bike setup?
Or bike setup has nothing to do with going faster?
I think it does.
Are you having your outside pedal completely down when you make a turn or or can you have your pedals halfway like a normal riding position
Remy, what is your fee to coach? Although I know most, if not all, of the techniques you were teaching I still feel that coaching from you would be beneficial. Bob T.
I do not offer coaching sorry. Yoann Barelli does
@@remymetailler Thanks for the response Remy.
🙌🏻🤘🏻🍀
When are we getting some 2stroke husky content?
Check out my IG
Great video Rémy. Question; do you think fitting an e*thirteen LG1+ chain guide on an enduro bike is ok or overkill?
No it is not overkilled. The bashguards really does protect your frame and chain ring and the lower guide can make the bike quieter especially on some suspension design.
Bro I wanna be neighbors with you guys 😂
I have a question why do you ride without the OneUp tool? I have always wondered why...
Remy I’m curious what the brand of the small bike stand was that you put Jack’s bike on to install the chain guide?
Topeak. You can find it here: bit.ly/3HeWUlm
Excellent Thanks Remy - greatly appreciated!
tamsak jost i learn agian fom ingat lhat na
Hello Remy, could I ask you link where did you buy bocycle rack which you use in this movie?
hey: www.steadyrack.com
To me... your skills are amazing already...but to be able to be so close behind another rider and to be able to navigate the trail and to interpret how he is navigating the trail and to retain information at the end of each area.... great talent! My wife says I have ADD...but I have not seen that I could harness that alleged claim and utilize it.
I used to race bmx...but only for a couple years. Working on getting some upgrades for my Walgoose Ledge X1 to try to make it a budget bike to learn on.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us!
I'm a Jesus follower and yet there are times I still have moments of...wondering is this hobby going to distract me or allow me to roll with Jesus not away from Him. 😇💪🙏
Great video, what fender is he running on his Santa Cruz?
The Mud Hugger I gave him (against some coffee). Use code REMY15 or REMY20
@@remymetailler awesome! Thank you, love the videos. You’re a beast!
Hi everyone welcome to the school of excellence your Teacher is remy he has a Masters degree in how to shred he is probably the best coach you’ll ever have and you don’t even have to leave the house just stick YT on every Thursday you’re class will be in session lol
Dr Remdog
Dr Remdog love it I don’t think it’ll catch on But who cares it’s a bit of fun LOL
Yo man, why don't you ride Spindrift? Is there a specific reason?
It s a long pedal and my tyee is built a bit lighter
Aku juga suka bersepeda
8/10 for how likely I am to buy an e13 chain guide or other e13 products
Cassettes are strong and fairly cheap and the wheels rocks!
Sería posible subtítulos en español? Son vídeos muy interesantes.
What about a New chapter of rampage For you? 😁🤓
Wiah I lived in bc
You can speed it up, right? Bahaha. XD
I’m convinced he slowed it down! It feels so fast and looks so slow!
How do i get more confident on jumps
I recently cracked my rim on hot tuna
I cased the big jump, but somehow did not crack the wheel...
@@remymetailler lucky! and they are EThirteen wheels as well, I'm heart broken😫
do you recomend dvo forks ?
Yes they have been great to me
What bike rack do you have?
Saris MHS 2 bikes! bit.ly/3G5rYTa
