The husband was a criminal & a murderer, the wife wasn't behind either she was borderline alcoholic & clearly was cheating on him that's why she was so reluctant to stay. The way she was acting with that old stranger in the forest was inappropriate to say the least. It was a complete shambles of a life they were living together.
