  • A short film recording the beauty and tranquillity of Kingskerswell before the construction of the South Devon link Road ( aka SDLR ) commenced.
Interestingly the film features a land mark tree set in the fields behind St. Mary's Church, a point visible from most of the village. It was chosen because it stands exactly on the route of the bypass and some people objected to it being felled.
As it happens, the tree came down in a storm just a few weeks after the film was made.
In 2012 Teignbridge started releasing documents referring to Kingskerswell as a Town, probably an indication of it's future status after the bypass has been built and when the developers move in?
