It’s not as hard as ppl think, it’s a category 3 language like Irish and Scottish Gaelic - I’m learning Hungarian, and the words are very easy to learn / remember, and the pronunciation is very easy as well, and the only thing that’s a bit harder is the spelling, because it has many letters with accents and certain double or triple letters that may take a bit longer to get used to and to memorize the exact spelling of each word, but other than that it’s quite easy! However, the words mis / mist and numbers cannot be in a yt name or name, and must be changed! I'm so glad you're learning Hungarian! I started it about a year ago and I absolutely love it. Sztaki Szótár is a really good online dictionary specifically for Hungarian, and it has a lot of languages to translate to/from. Verbs are tricky for me too, but it's helpful to learn them in the 3rd person present singular form (he/she/it) instead of the infinitive, because that's the most basic form and it's how you'll find the verb in the dictionary. And if you haven't looked at vowel harmony yet, you should check it out! It's much easier than it sounds and will help with conjugation and suffixes.

Glad you chose Hungarian as a second language! There are some pretty nice textbooks available for foreigners to get familiar with Hungarian vocabulary and grammar - verb conjugation is deffinitely something you cannot learn using a mobile app. Good luck! You said that the Hungarian words are very long. But they aren't. The most etymologically Hungarian words are made of one single syllabe, but they become long when we put the suffixes and prefixes on them, because Hungarian is an agglutinate, "glueing" language, which "glues" all the suffixes and prefixes (person, time, possessive, plural, etc.) to the word, which in English are separate from it. For example: megházasodnátok. That means: you (in plural) wish to get married. So one word in Hungarian, 5 words in English. But the basic word is "ház" (house). So the different suffixes and prefixes from this word are: meg+ház+as+od+ná+tok. "meg-" is the verbal prefix which means to effectively do something, "ház" substantive meaning house, "as" is a suffix which put to "ház", makes the word "házas", which means married (to have a house of your own, away from your parents, in the old times people separated from their parents when they got marries), "-od" verbal suffix, "-ná" suffix to express the wishing of something, "-tok" verbal suffix which exprimes the plural of the 2. person.

Omgg , I can feel you totaly ... Imagine that I started my EVS (European Volunteering Service) at 25th of Octomber 2017 , I am from Greece , and all were greek to me , based on language . I used to listen Wolf Kati ( very deep meaning of the lyrics , the majority of those words are not that useful in your daily life , but , never mind :P ) and I make some steps forward and I am very happy and thankful ... I live in a small village and there nobody speaking English , otherwish in a big town like Budapest , Pecs etc, are some people who they are speaking English in a propriate level and if you became friend with them for sure everyone can learn much easier and faster the Hungarian language :D

Heeeeyyyy Lindie, you doing a great work , keep going and you reach your destination it might take you a while but hey atleast you trying , keep in mind hungarian is one of the hardest languages to learn , but its not impossible . My advice to you go to Budapest , get some friends we hungarians are pretty chill and outgoing .

I'm so glad you're learning Hungarian! I started it about a year ago and I absolutely love it. Sztaki Szótár is a really good online dictionary specifically for Hungarian, and it has a lot of languages to translate to/from. Verbs are tricky for me too, but it's helpful to learn them in the 3rd person present singular form (he/she/it) instead of the infinitive, because that's the most basic form and it's how you'll find the verb in the dictionary. And if you haven't looked at vowel harmony yet, you should check it out! It's much easier than it sounds and will help with conjugation and suffixes.

Glad you chose Hungarian as a second language! There are some pretty nice textbooks available for foreigners to get familiar with Hungarian vocabulary and grammar - verb conjugation is deffinitely something you cannot learn using a mobile app. Good luck! You said that the Hungarian words are very long.
But they aren't. The most etymologically Hungarian words are made of one single syllabe, but they become long when we put the suffixes and prefixes on them, because Hungarian is an agglutinate, "glueing" language, which "glues" all the suffixes and prefixes (person, time, possessive, plural, etc.) to the word, which in English are separate from it. For example: megházasodnátok. That means: you (in plural) wish to get married. So one word in Hungarian, 5 words in English. But the basic word is "ház" (house). So the different suffixes and prefixes from this word are: meg+ház+as+od+ná+tok. "meg-" is the verbal prefix which means to effectively do something, "ház" substantive meaning house, "as" is a suffix which put to "ház", makes the word "házas", which means married (to have a house of your own, away from your parents, in the old times people separated from their parents when they got marries), "-od" verbal suffix, "-ná" suffix to express the wishing of something, "-tok" verbal suffix which exprimes the plural of the 2. person.
-na, -ne, -ná, -né are "Conditional II" in English :)

Omgg , I can feel you totaly ... Imagine that I started my EVS (European Volunteering Service) at 25th of Octomber 2017 , I am from Greece , and all were greek to me , based on language . I used to listen Wolf Kati ( very deep meaning of the lyrics , the majority of those words are not that useful in your daily life , but , never mind :P ) and I make some steps forward and I am very happy and thankful ... I live in a small village and there nobody speaking English , otherwish in a big town like Budapest , Pecs etc, are some people who they are speaking English in a propriate level and if you became friend with them for sure everyone can learn much easier and faster the Hungarian language :D
