Fair to say James Dewar sits on the same underappreciated shelf as Robin.

Sometimes Trower's guitar solos are almost hypnotic. This is a good example of that!

Love your reaction, the same as all of us hearing for the first time. I can tell, you are a Trower fan for life now. As I am.

Guy was ignored by the mainstream his whole career-Never even seen a guitar player's GOAT poll with him mentioned..so unfair..Best "Undergorund" guitarist ever..As ya heard, his technique was just as bad-azz as the rest of 'em..Thanks for spreading the word and makes me happy to see you enjoying his work so much, Sarah!!

      "so unfair..."
Couldn't agree more. It's more than just unfair, though - it's bloody ABSURD!!! Maybe the Internet will remedy matters at long last!!!

Robin Trower is one of the rare bands that sound better live. All their material is fire!

Robin Trower is actually the lead guitarist. He’s the band. Like Santana

Totally agree. The one from 1974 in Stockholm, I think, was my first record I owned.

This is probably my favorite Robin Trower song. He's highly underrated as a guitarist, his name usually doesn't come up in discussions of the great ones. But his songs have a unique sound that I've always liked. It's not only the guitar, it's also the great vocals of James Dewar, who also played bass with Trower. As others have mentioned, the band's live performances are in general, even better than the studio recordings. I had a few opportunities to see the band live in the 70's, but for various reasons, passed on those shows. I regret it now.

Saw them in maybe early 70's. Winterland, San Fransico. Amazing! And I was standing at the edge of the stage looking up at a guitar god!!

@@patsstuffclark9522 I've been in the Bay Area since 1962. I have fond memories of shows at Winterland and elsewhere back in the 70's. A great band playing somewhere in the area every week. Ticket prices ranging from $5 to maybe $12 at the most. At Winterland, up close to the stage was the place to be!

I love how you love this music. Trower was an early treasure of mine as a teenager. As many have said here it’s a tragedy how much he has been so overlooked really. This guitar solo is epic and creative and endlessly inventive. Thanks for sharing this. It’s a joy to see you enjoy it to. Now - you really need to check out the Who. Really.

We always played at least 1 Robins song mainly because i like playing the lead in the 70s this was a new sound. And was popular among musicians. If you listen in the background you will hear people clapping saying yes yes filling the music

Always loved his guitar work but when I found out that he used to put Mylar Tape over his amps, which is almost impossible for a human to do. He ties or beats Hendrix in my estimation.

@Sarah Dengler, nice review from this long-time Robin Trower fan. Such a SHAME you didn't let the track run into the next song 'About To Begin' as they two were meant to be listened to together and each raises the other track to heightened levels.
