Jubilee Beacon Lighting at Duncan Downs in Whitstable

I was honoured to help light the Platinum Jubilee Beacon at Duncan Down in Whitstable. In 1954, on the return of the Queen and Prince Philip from the their round the World trip, the beacon of the day was lit by a 1st Whitstable Scout. So it was a pleasure to accompany the representative of today's 1st Whitstable Scouts, James Wilkinson, for the ceremony.
