Holy crap. My face lit up when I saw "diesel designs" as a young kid I watched him play the crap out of cms15 and I bought CMS18 the day it came out because of him. Thank you for building cars for all these years!
Here's a hint that will boost the value of your restored cars. Don't drive them on the race track or speed track as that can actually reduce the value even though you take no damage. On the other hand, once you have fully restored the car, make sure the tires are aligned and run it through the test track. If you watch the value closely you should see a pretty decent increase in car value.
I wasn't sure if you were correct, so I tested your statement. Apparently, if you, the mechanic, drive a car, it decreases in value. It doesn't matter if the car has 10,000 km mileage or 0 mileage, it will decrease once you drive it. If you take off any body part of the car, it decreases in value. If you take off any internal part of the car, it decreases in value. If you repeat any of these actions, the car doesn't deteriorate in value any further. Also, I completely messed up the alignment on a car and for some reason, it didn't change the value. Also, the car sometimes WENT UP in value after driving it. Here is how that happened: I took off a wheel, and put it back on immediately. This cause the car to decrease in value. Then, I """drove""" it on a test track by entering and then exiting immediately. The car's value went up. I think the game devs didn't do enough bug testing. So basically, you're not entirely right or wrong, but it gets really tricky with the thorough testing. I actually have no idea how this stuff happens.
@@Thegentechgamer The way I made it work is to set the alignment, move the car back to a lifter, check the actual value, then drive it on the test track, but only before dyno testing it. Doing this has almost always given a sizeable increase in car value. Painting, washing, and dyno do not seem to affect value at all, and after my test track method it doesn't seem to decrease no matter where else I drive it.
@@Punnikin1969 washing and interior detailing does incrfease car value if its an auction car or junkyard, you can make tidy profits going to auction, making sure you buy out below or close to value, car wash detail and sell for a quick few graND MINUS TRAVEL FEES.
@@DaddiesDirtyToolKit I have purchased 61 cars from the junkyard, so far not one single car has had an increase in value due to washing. Interior detailing sometimes has no result, but that is rare. I bought mine at auction for just under 100k, left it factory paint and made it chrome so it looked like gold. Heads up for anyone who doesn't know **You can find one Case to purchase for a couple hundred bucks in every barn in one of the scrap piles, it's a lot to look through but there's always one to replace the one you used (doesn't guarantee another Barn unlock though)**

Had Luck Yesterday night. Found a "Lambo" in the Auction and got it for under 90k In the Garage I seen, that I would make 10k If I would have sold it right then. But I decided to repair and overhaul it. At the end, It was sold for over 250k and my win was around 140k :D Best was: I only had to replace the wear, glas and some electronic parts, the rest I could repair. But, I also used some Custom Paintings... that nearly eaten away 3k by itself + the Tuning Parts... But hey, over 360km/h forward and 100km/h in reverse gear on the speed track. (and I don't even maximize tuned the motor. ^^ ) I love that Game. ^^ p.s. yes, the V12 is a beast! Feels like a Thousand Part Puzzle! :D p.p.s.: If you don't like the pink oil filter: Paint it! :D
Scrap is best saved for performance parts because it ups the value and ups the tuning which adds more value. But doing that with a Lambo would be insane.
So that's how it works! the upgrade adds a percentage to power. I purchased the salvage thing thinking i could use it to repair, or at least get more money back from scrap parts. This should be handy for making EVs faster as they don't have anywhere near as many performance parts as combustion engines
Got myself a Lamborghini Diablo from the Car Auction yesterday for 68K, no parts missing and most of it I could repair. Did a few Level 3 upgrades to parts, and slapped a nice little 25% performance boost on it and was very happy to sell it for 176K making me a very nice profit of 109K. Invested that into a 1968 Dodge Charger and 1971 Chevrolet Camaro MK2 from the same Barn and made a nice 150K profit off those two cars, taking my profit for the day to nearly 260K. At this point I'm done with the customer orders and the story missions. It's all about the renovations to make big money in this game.
For future reference: If you look under Car Status, it shows the original tyre size on the first tab. I don't know if it shows both sizes for cars with different front/rear sizes.
Lucked out, have now found two of these in barns. Did up and sold the first, second I'm keeping stock. If I find a third, I'm going to monster it. 3* and full performance upgrades. If I get that, I'll post the value differences.
I dont know if u remembered doing that but I believe it increases the value of the car if u wash it and wash interior then weld it. And then tear it apart. Anyone who can confirm? Thanks for the chill video it was joy to watch =.)
Thank you for this video. Not only is it entertaining to watch, but, it lets me see what happens in the barn finds of the game. I have only recently got this game, and only about 23,000cr(?) so it won't be for a while, yet, but this is a great walkthrough when I can finally do this. It definitely adds variety to the game. Just a quick question, how long did it take you roughly to get this far in. I have been playing for about 1 week now. On and off and on Story car 14. Though, after watching the whole video I understood about 20% of it. So many things in here I do not understand like salvaging for scraps, and upgrade parts with scraps. . Not to mention what parts can go on what cars! But, oh well. I hate being stupid.

hey diesel when you're putting the car back together and don't have the tires you can go to the car and mount part and hover over the tire and add it to the shopping list and it will give you the size you need
The reason you can replace a intercooler while car is on the lift and not the radiator is because you wouldn’t be able to reach the top hose of the radiator, there is one on top and one on bottom, there can be like 2 bolts up there holding it as well, with the heads of said bolts probably facing upward.
