Confirmed with a friend who would know from first-hand experience, countersnîpers do not need any authorization to neutralize a tärget. The ONLY reasons that can provide any explanation for the lack of response in this situation are either (1) the pair of CAT snípers positioned on the barn roof behind Trump didn't see the threat, or (2) they were receiving contradictory/confusing statements on their radios (such as "that's a local PD spotter" or "that's one of our group's men" etc.) and no clarification came over the 3-4 minutes during which the threat was crawling around the roof. This was a catastrophic failure by Secret Svc, local PD, and rest of the security attachment -- I'm not holding my breath for anyone to take responsibility, resign, get fired, or prosecuted -- and this ordeal was saved from being the worst outcome only by a bad shøt, prevailing wind, and Trump turning his head a split-second beforehand. This will convert many skeptics/atheists/agnostics into Believers, I surmise.
Aside from that, I think Trump could have done much worse for his VP pick, I don't see many significant negatives for Vance -- but he's got a hill to climb to prove that he's going to be able to guide MAGA through 2024 and beyond 2028.
I just watched Chris Williamson podcast with Tim Kennedy and what he said made a lot of sense. That with political climate the last few years that he thinks they were hesitant to shoot because the thought of what if it's an unarmed black kid that is on the roof.
He said so much more than that and walked through everything and all the failures. It was an excellent interview.

Though it's funny seeing Auron congratulate himself for predicting this "2 months ago" when a lot of us were saying this years ago and writing about which strategies the DNC/Regime would favor under which circumstances. I'd like to think that at least some of our pundits are immune to just aggregating things (too late) that they take from their comment sections, but clearly that is not so.
Us NEH bros are hoping this is a step towards being proven wrong. Not a happening yet, nothing has changed, we all still went to work, our tv shows continued to play, our grocery stores are still operational and for some of us (me) the talk around the water cooler hasn’t even changed, but this is definitely a harbinger of a potential happening.

This entire sequence building up to the 2024 election for trump has been an actual shounen anime arc. Trump must’ve kissed Historia’s hand sometime after the 2020 election and before the stormy daniels trial. Dude was given plot armor by god, and he selected the VP who will carry his will to actually make America great again, and he has Elon fully back him up, and he has reformed the GOP which has been a party of losers for a long time. The event is major, and given that it is about violence it should be treated with respect. I was disgusted by some people who immediately started pointing out weirdness and saying it was fake. Yet, let's not pretend it isn't weird or there aren't coincidences or that it's too perfect in someways, like the weird angle of the photo and the flag in it, etc. We know D.T isn't some hero. My suspicion is precisely that it is to get the skeptical back on board the circus. On the other hand, there are certainly a lot of nutjobs...
