Congratulations on your marriage. You two are adorable together. I'm a new subscriber. I just purchased my X4 a month ago. I'm still learning but it's a fun camera to shoot with. Cheers! 🍻
And here is the technical support answer : Hi there, Sorry, our engineering team has watched the video link you sent, and this is a normal product design. The X4 Premium Lens Guards is indeed tighter than the X4 Standard Lens Guards, relatively difficult to remove, and can better prevent it from falling in sports scenes. To ensure optimal stitching, stabilization, and invisibility effects, the Lens Guard is designed to fit closely with the camera lens, and it is installed and removed by a twisting method. We recommend that when disassembling the Lens Guards, you lightly make a fist, use your thumb and index finger (or three fingers) to grip the Lens Guard, and then turn it counterclockwise. Additionally, low temperatures can affect the materials and may make the Lens Guard harder to remove, requiring more force; therefore, we suggest trying to remove it in a room-temperature environment. Please refer to the video link for guidance on how to detach the Lens Guards. Warm Reminder: If you remove the Lens Guards and wish to continue shooting, please turn on the camera and go to the dropdown menu to make sure the "Lens Guards Mode" is set to "Auto" or "No Lens Guards". When set to "Auto", the camera will automatically detect the installation of the Lens Guard to match the corresponding stitching effect. If you encounter any issues or require our assistance during the use of the product, please feel free to contact us. Best regards, Kelsey Insta360 Technical Support
@@Markchristiankc Standard lens guard has horrendous dust problems too, I think the standard lens guards are even more problematic due to them being plastic and attracting more dust due to static.
Hi You are the first guy to say it’s really difficult to put or put off the premium glass protection ! I’ve the same problem but until now everybody said to me it had no Soucy with them !
Used the x4 on my trip to Korea and it was so much fun! I brought a lot of lens cloths and before use i cleaned it. You really have to do it! I used the standard lens guards.
That must’ve been so awesome🤩 and yeah I cleaned it so much to get useable shots in Thailand 🥲 it’s just frustrating when there’s a moment you quickly want to capture but there’s still dust on your lens. I definitely think the standard lens guards are the way to go for this issue
@@Markchristiankc It was great! I usually bring two cameras: one mirrorless for photo- and video, an action cam and this time I also brought the 360 camera along so for the quick shots I usually grabbed my mirrorless. Using the X4 was a first for me 360-wise so It was quite the challenge to use it due to the conventional way of camera usage but it's very easy and the editing software is quite usable! Editing the different types of footage in one project is quite daunting I have to say!
@creativepicnl sounds amazing! 🤩 it’s definitely a challenge for the first time but you’ll get used to the variety of footage in no time 🙌🏻 plus the different kinds of shots you can capture with each camera make it worth it 😜
This video made me believe that I can go for x4!!!The video quality seems a substantial upgrade from x3. Could you please tell that how did you upload such nice looking high quality video ?bitrate ,sharpness, some extra editing all these details
Yeah go for it! 🥳 In the insta360 studio app I always export at 4K with a bitrate of 100. I don’t add sharpness to the footage only sometimes do I add more colour within the Studio app. Hope that helps 😁
Great video, thank you ❤ So what is the difference between real time MeMode VS post processing DeepTrack ? From what i understand they both keep you centered in FOV. Maybe MeMode is better since post processing could impact image quality?
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it 😁 so I actually prefer just filming in 360 and doing the tracking later. I prefer the flexibility as I can change my field of view with the 360 recording, but with me mode the framing you saw in the video is what you get! No wider and no closer. Processing in insta360 studio doesn’t affect image quality at all in ☺️
@@Markchristiankc oh i see, MeMode is not full 360 then. In 360 footage though , if you DeepTrack and zoom in there will be some detail degradation i guess. So best if you keep yourself as close as you wish right from the beginning in any case.

It’s not been that way with my experience but maybe yours is different. I did just have my guards fall off my camera recently though so that’s another problem lol
Yes! Ok so the standard lens guards are wayyyyy better for this issue. In fact I barely had this issue with the standard ones. Sadly I dropped one so I’m stuck using the dusty premium ones for a bit 😂🥲
I keep the shutter automatic and same for the iso to be honest. If I notice the shots are coming over over exposed I’ll drop the exposure compensation to -0.3
Nice content. However, I would have loved to see how looked in your indoor sitdown talking head shot. I'm considering get one for my podcast. Easier, quicker setup and she get 2 or 3 angles.
Im going to a trip to niagara falls next week. Im excited to use it just cant have enough ideas how to shoot. But i dont want to worry too much and not enjoy the whole trip
@dspinoy that’s what I enjoyed about the X4. I just hit record and filmed what happened around me and what I was doing. You can worry about the framing later. Just capture whatever interesting stuff you do at Niagara :)
My experience, 360 videos very depend on bitrate and yt have very low limits. Prefer watch 360 at least at 1440p. Second, blur on sides are acceptable because lack of pixel density because too wide angle. That's by design and can't be avoided currently.
@@kimckimchi do you use manual settings? I had an issue with glare outdoor with manual settings and at the same time with auto settings no glare at all
I actually regret buying the insta360x4. Mostly because I do a lot of filming at night and this camera is horrible at it. I've tried all the different settings that everybody suggests and also tried auto mode. If you're using this for the daytime, it's a great video camera, for night time though, look elsewhere.
You are 100% correct. I don’t believe there’s any 360 camera that is good in low light. It’s the same story with action cameras too. Sorry it didn’t work out for you :(
@@Markchristiankc I think if Sony started making action cameras they would kill it in the market, because from what I heard, they make some of the best low-light sensors.
@Matt369oi they do make great low light sensors and actually they did make an action camera! I’m not quite sure what happened to it, guess it didn’t do too well as there was only one. I believe it’s called the RX0
In most of your "selfie style" video sections, your face is out of focus! I guess you're not even seeing that, since you got a Panasonic - or already got used to that! Still, the X4 is a pretty good camera so I'll wait untill it hits the used market because I can't justify paying over 700 euros for this camera and accesories I need to use while motorcycling!

I honestly have had no problems with the premium lens guards

How did you do the shot with the car, you got in the car and drove off.
You need to get a cat mount from neewer or insta360. I talk about it more in my latest video :)
Should we shoot with lens guard or without lensguard I'm currently using standard one
I think with because it protects your cameras’s lenses. That’s more important.
yooo what is going on here? Why just 2k subs??? you are awesome dude!
Thanks so much man! Really appreciate it haha ☺️☺️
I don’t really have dust issues with my Insta360 X4. By default I give it a good wipe with the lens cloth every time before I shoot.
That’s lucky 😅 are you using the premium lens guards as well?
You’re in Dubai. It’s a sandstorm 24/7. It’s expected.
This was a problem I had with the lens guards in England and Thailand too though. It’s more to do with the lens guards than the location
