The Aperol Spritz has become hugely popular in recent years. It’s a low alcoholic, refreshing sipper perfect for the warmer months. Whilst only slightly bitter, I like to sweeten it up a little.

A cruise ship bartender made this for me and it was wonderful! He also added the 1/4 shot of lemon juice, as well as Elderflower liqueur but not the sugar. Best drink I've ever tasted and sunset pretty too!!
You know how much elderflower?
Nice! Tried the "standard" spritz, and it was yummy. Used a blood orange I had in the fridge. Will try your preferred version next. Thank you for the vid!
I like your twist on it. Balances it out better. Gonna try it soon!
Hi steve im an upcoming bartender that have no formal training and yoUr videos really help me in my work. Thank yoU and god bless
Like the video. Short, clear and on point. Thanks!
nice video. i just started working in a bar and i have never felt so overwhelmed or out of my depth. these videos help
Congrats on your new job! Don’t stress- everyone was new behind the bar at one time! Experimenting at home and reading some quality cocktail books will help build your confidence too😊
Drinking my version right now: shot of cristalino tequila, shot of Mexican licor de naranja, shot of Aperol, orange bitters, top off with Topo Chico lime. Seems pretty versatile. Licor 43 instead of the Mexican orange would probably be good too, and make it a little sweeter. Cheers, from Indiana!
Fascinating to practice English and learning to make some drinks
We had it in Paros, Greece. We loved it.
Where I work, we put fill the glass up to the top pretty much.
Today we had 5 liters of fresh super sweet coconut wine tapped from the head of the coconut trees called tuba just harvested in the morning mixed with 1 liter of Tanduay light rum no ice needed it was great 👍 and we had chicken sopas as a bar food which has evaporated milk chicken skin chicharon and chicken and carrots and Chinese cabbage and soup with some evaporated milk which was delicious 🤤.
I love your videos as I am venturing out and learning bartending. I think it may also be helping to have a portion where you are making specific drinks to actually have the ingredients listed on the screen as more of a visual aid. Thank you for your videos and keep being awesome.
Thanks Chris! I do like the suggestion but as I was doing daily vids at the time, it added another level of complexity.. as it was, I was already spending 2-3 hours per day editing, uploading, posting, sharing, etc...
Aperol is so much better than Campari. I just mix mine with sprite, ice and champagne with a orange slice. Perfetto!
Why not add a splash of gold?
😂
Cheers from Guatemala
What is the 2nd optional ingredient I could not understand what you said “lemon just and ___? Thx
Thanks💎
Definitely one I got more into after moving to Europe. Cheers mate!
My favorite!!! ❤️🤤😋🤤
Thanks for all of your videos! Question, what are you using to grab the ice cubes? Do you have an US Amazon link? Thanks!
Hello. It doesn't look like anyone responded to your question. Those caught my eye too! I googled "long ice tongs like tweezers" and got lots of options. Cheers from Indiana!
I saw these being made at a bar at Eaterly and it looked wonderful. Then I discovered that our local liquor store just got in ready to drink Aperol so I picked up a pack of four bottles to try. I had one last night with a slice of orange. I thought that it had an odd taste. It wasn't awful, I was still able to drink it. I will still drink the other bottles that I have. Would I buy it again? No.
My favorite drink as of late
even named yourself after it
what is your twist at the end, i didnt understand you.
what was the last liquid you added? its hard to listen please
Bravo...
Can you make this with rosso amaro?
I know this is an older video, but I really like this set. I kind of like it better. That charcoal colored wall in the corner setting looks really cool. I've never heard of Aperol. What's it's base?
On ya
What is aperol made from? In my country ingredients read as water/sugar/etanol is it really that bad?
Nope, every alcohol is made from etanol sugar and water...
Shoutout Brandon wardell
nice
I use OJ to balance the bitterness of the Aperol maybe about 1/2 oz
Interesting. Kind of like an Aperol Mimosa?
Yeah basically. Aperol has a very Orange forward flavor but is slightly bitter. For first time drinkers it might be too much so the OJ tames the bitterness
If you really wanted to be specific about it, you could do the measurements by weight which would allow you to measure the Prosecco.
That doesn’t sound practical though..
@@StevetheBartender_ oh yeah totally agree. I was just thinking about it because I have a scale I use to weigh my coffee beans for grinding. The spot where I make drinks in my kitchen is right next to it so it occurred to me that you could. That being said, I don’t think the proportions have to be perfect is a spritz.
What does apperol taste as ????
Hello! What did you add? I didn't get the last 2. Thanks!
Check out the description, I always make sure I write the how to and ingredients :)
1/4 shot of fresh lime juice and 1/4 shot of sugar
Mariana Kurtz he said lemon juice in the vid
you didn't write it in the description. @@StevetheBartender_
I should have mentioned it in the description. The recipe in the description is the original aperol Spritz recipe..
What did you add for your personal taste?I replayed the video but I didn’t get it,please let me know thank u
I added a splash of lemon juice and sugar… I probably wouldn’t do it like that these days as I prefer much more bitter drinks.
Yo this was sooooo *fire emoji*
Who is the Music Artist?
Looks delicious!
Lakey Inspired is the artist, there’s a link to Soundcloud in the description 👌
advice mixed with sparkling wines should not be mixed with the spoon to avoid removing carbon dioxide
prost! salute! salud! Cheers!
super
Aperol first
Then ice
Prosecco
Soda
Orange
It looks way sexier that way. Let the drinker give it a stir
Ammoccalo quel Prosecco! Ci hai messo uno spruzzo
ho pensato la stessa cosa 😂
Que espumante se usa?, dulce, demisec o seco o brut
Prosecco es semi seco espumoso
Ghesboro... This looks great, and I like your nuance with lemon juice... but Aperol Spriss is not a cocktail... It is an apperitif. No ice, no orange, but a small olive, served in a regular glass... and above all, it should be affordable.
Little tip: you should review how to make it, cos actually in Italy we first put ice in the glass then put all the other ingredients... :)
I don’t believe I said it was the authentic Italian way to make an Aperol Spritz...?
Michael Ballesteros yes I don’t know why he put the ice last and the worse part he stirs it bad aperol spritz so far
Do think this is important?😂
+ mdma
how's 80/60/40 is 3/2/1?
Sorry? Your sentence doesn’t make sense..
@@StevetheBartender_ you have figured it out I see :)
Bartosz Radecki I’m still lost...
90/60/30
Glass half full is not what i like especially with aperol, daaaamn. Who teached you?
*taught
❤️
Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, First Ice, then Aperol, Prosecco and Sprudel and then Orange slice!
I stole an aperol and took it to a party and I had one sip and threw it on the grass and next minute I see some guy drinking the whole bottle. It tastes apsolutuly terrible on its own
It’s an acquired taste 😁
Don't give up! As Steve said, Aperol (and Campari, it's even stronger cousin) are acquired tastes. Kind of like grapefruit...some people love it, some hate it, some like it but only with a bit of sugar. Don't drink them straight, have them in cocktails, with plenty of ice to dilute, and/or a sweetening agent. Once (and if :) you start to like the flavour, then you can up the strength or reduce the dilution. For this recipe, try the one with the sugar (simple syrup) added...or, as someone else wrote below in comments, instead of club soda, try using Sprite or 7-up for added sweetness.
Truly the worst drink I have ever tasted.
Change profession .... it's better for the whole planet.
Terrible to use the SCHWEPPES for the Aperol Spritz.....and even all those corrections.......Change profession please
Lol, I don’t think the whole planet would benefit if I changed career. You’re welcome to upload your own video detailing what you would do differently - feel free to share the link here. You a bartender yourself or just like throwing in your two cents worth?
Don't be.....a lil' bitch.
que diferencia hay entre soda Schweppes y la soda amigo Piero ???
