Nice to see what you wild campers can pack for a night away Phil and have everything you could possibly need. My wife ( your big Sis) fills a couple of huge suitcases just for an afternoon sitting in the garden.
Thats a good call, the Quidian is supposed to be waterproof but like you say, if your down stuff gets wet, its pretty serious! The poncho is a good compromise, easy to deploy and throw over yourself and the bag. Thanks for the comment.
I love it, takes a huge volume but gets a tad uncomfortable when you put too much weight in it - the buckles slip when you stress it as well. Hope your camp has gone well, look forward to the video.
@PhilWaud the wind kept me awake most the night🤣🤣🤣 but should be a good en! I struggle sometimes with having a pad in the back as I use the decathlon roll mat 😅 I got there folding pad but it doesn't fit as it's about 2 inches abit to wide 😅
Nice one. Great to see how others pack their bag ready for wild camping. I tend to use a lot of different coloured dry bags which works well for me. Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the Big Agnes.
When I started I used some dry bags, and wrote "rooms" on then, so kitchen for all the cooking stuff, bedroom for nighttime etc. Eventually I went for these "cells" instead, as I prefer the zips and that they are like a box when you open them. We all have our own ways though Gav, constantly evolving and every one is the right way at the time for that person.

Thanks for sharing Phil, l love seeing what other people take with them and the system they use to put thier kit into thier pack 😀
@@GoneWildCamping892 thanks for the comment, yes, me too, it's always interesting and gets you thinking.
I would add a waterproof rucksack liner.Down bags are tricky customers when wet.

It's a great bag! (3ful gear quidian pro)
Currently using it on my trip 😊

@@Airlessmean I thought they were pretty standard size. I've an Amazon one, think it was twelve quid.
Yea for some reason the decathlon folding pad is wide 😅 so i couldnt get it in the back and if i did i couldnt get it sat on my back 😂@PhilWaud

@@PhilWaudYeah that’s it, if it works then great. 😀 good space saving with the drone!
@@HikingForHealth1 The drone is my keep fit device, lug the blooming thing on every camp and only use it on half of them!
