Thanks Amy and Glenn. What a beautiful lake and surrounding area. I've heard the bird watching there is great too with a bit of fall colors. What a great idea for a birthday too Glenn. Happy Birthday.
Thank you for doing this video! I want to take my kids camping on one of the lake's islands but couldn't find any good info, pics, or anything about the island camp sites. Your videl gave a FAR better idea of these campsites than I have found anywhere else. Thank you very much. Nice job with the video editing, too.
No problem! Thanks for the comment! The reason why we did it is because we too struggled to find any info about those campsites. Glad it seemed to help!
Best review hands down of Patagonia boat in sites. I feel like they should pay you and use your video on their webpage!! Thank you for doing this video. We have 111 on reserve for end of June based off your review. We bought some intex inflatable boats to avoid high pontoon rentals. But we may rent the pontoon for an hour or so just to troll around the lake with the kids. Did it seem like 110 was close by in terms of possibly needing a second site!? If you dont recall no worries at all. Thanks again for such an awesome video.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Means a lot to us! Good call on the inflatable boats as the pontoons were definitely not cheap to rent! As for proximity of 110 to 111, I think they are close as the crow flies. The real question to me is if you can walk between the sites on foot via a path, and unfortunately I did not notice a path. But then again, we didn’t think to look for one. By water you’d need to swing around that little peninsula, but it was not too far. I would not be surprised though if there is a way to connect on foot. Rewatching the video, i almost see a bit of a clearing beyond the abandoned toilet, so I would not be surprised if there is a way. I bet if you call they would know. There was a guy working in the visitor center when we went who knew a lot about the boat in sites. If you are looking for general info, this might be helpful: www.cactusatlas.com/information/patagonia-lake-boating-camping/ Anyway, have fun, and let us know how it goes! I haven’t actually had time to camp overnight there and would love to hear how it goes!!!
Happy Belated, Belated Birthday Glenn. Good to see this didn't end up being a Three hour tour. ps This is the Perfect reason I call BS on reserving campsites. IMFHO if the people aren't there by 12 it should be First Come, First Served & they loose deposit. No reason at all why campsites should be unoccupied. Plus they can make Twice the $$$.
Thanks for the belated B-day wishes. I’m excited to camp there sometime soon. The proposition of renting a pontoon boat overnight there is pretty expensive so will probably do a row boat, but need to convince my wife or a friend to join because it might be a bit much hauling out the gear solo!
Happy (belated) Birthday! Nice choice on the boat - what lovely (romantic) way to enjoy the day. I love site 109, would make work some how? Come on down and visit site 113 - “and that ain’t no bull” ( ba-da boom!). Okay, I’ll admit it - site 120 does have its advantages. Great idea for a birthday surprise. Great video. Always nice when Amy joins.
Thanks! Was an awesome day! Yeah, 109 intrigued me. Oh yeah, and that cow was surely an added bonus in 113 (and you definitely had to watch where you step in that site).
Hey awesome video!! I was wondering if you got a good look at campsite 119. I am booking for four people total, two couples. Did you think there was enough space for two two person tents there?
Oh gosh. It's been a while. Site 119 wasn't one we actually walked onto so we didn't get a great look at it. I know site 120 is the larger of the two islands and we did walk around on that one. Based on the size of 120, I'd say 119 *might* be pretty tight for two tents.
Your review of site 111 was awesome. I was thinking of taking my Kayaks out and camping in one of those sites. 111 was the one i was thinking of, 119 was pretty sweet too. Great review, it was extremely helpful.
I was struggling to find any info online (pics, videos, etc... ) of those sites when I initially researched them, so figured I’d go out there and make a video. So glad it helped you out! Thanks for letting us know!
Oh gosh. This was almost a year ago now and I would imagine prices might have changed a bit. The deposit for the boat is quite, quite pricey and I WANT to say the rental was for 4 hours but I could be entirely wrong. You may want to give them call to see what current prices are - (520) 287-5545.
Thanks Amy and Glenn. What a beautiful lake and surrounding area. I've heard the bird watching there is great too with a bit of fall colors. What a great idea for a birthday too Glenn. Happy Birthday.
Going to have to learn about birds and head out there to spend some time relaxing. Still need to camp on an island too.

Thanks so much for this video! It's so difficult to find pictures of any of the boat in camp sites; this was very helpful and informative!
Not a problem! That's the same experience we found and the main reason why we filmed the video. 😄
Can't wait to get there for a camping weekend
It's still on our list to to one of these days. 😅

@@CactusAtlas I'll update after our camp. I dont think we will need the second site, but we'll see. Thank you, again!

Happy late birthday! Boat-in camping sounds like a great idea. Love that private island and hope you get to go back and camp there one night.

Thanks for the video..cheers from Alaska
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching. 😊
PERFECT BIRTHDAY indeed 👍. Right up my alley ⏳anytime. Yeah, would do that in a micro minute ‼️😎
It really was such a relaxing and perfect day. 😃
That looks like something I would love as well as you found fall leaves. Hope your birthday was one to remember.
It was a very memorable trip! We were amazed at how much fall color was there.
I'm celebrating my 30th there next week!!! My man and i are doing the sunset tour. I'm so excited!!!
Awesome! We really loved it! Great place to celebrate! Well, we wish you a happy b-day in advance and hope you have a perfect trip out there!
Was there today going back in morning!!!!
Happy Belated Birthday! Looks like a neat place to go since its different with the boating factor.
Thanks! Yeah, it was really cool. Had a blast!

Can you kayak into the campsites?
I imagine you can into the 12 boat-in campsites as they allow motorized and non-motorized boats.
Hi! Do you remember how much you paid to rent the pontoon and for how long???

The Cactus Atlas Thank you so much!!!
Not a problem! Wish I could remember but also don't want to give inaccurate information. ☺
Awesome, thanks for the recommendation, this is our next trip! @FlagstaffTim
Awesome! Hope you have a fantastic time there! 😊
