A lot of talk. Redundant talk! And never gets to the point. What was the "INSANE Discovery On Trappist 1"? Well... you will have to guess because it does not say on this video here.
Yeah, I hate these bait-and-switch sensational titles that are only meant to sell advertisement as a by-product. Also, there is nothing new in that video that hasn't already been published somewhere else.
Stop having false hope even if these planets are habitable we don't have the tech to get there even in the next century these psychopaths needs to focus on helping the planet out
@Bericky02 Maybe they are one in the same. I totally agree, but the moon was kind of a long shot at the time. Regan was right when he said that thing about putting aside our differences. If we knew there was something out there, that might be the hope it takes to fix our own home
Just a thought, if the James Webb can detect the atmospheric compositions of planets. Would it be able to detect if a planet had an industrial type of civilization on the planet though the atmospheric composition of industrial chemicals, or if there is radiation in the atmosphere showing possible nuclear weapons testing?
Actually, It wouldn’t even need to detect evidence of industry. If we even happened to find The presence of oxygen, we would know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it’s life. Because only the process of photosynthesis Will give an Exoplanet an atmosphere oxygen or ozone. And the answer is yes, James Webb has the ability to break down light In spectrum where can differentiate The presence of organic compounds. So organic compounds like methane, carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen. Would be the smoking gun for life. technically, All we would have to see is oxygen. And we will know the presents of life. However consider this food for thought. The human civilization has only been using fossil fuels for energy for about 120 years, and using biofuels and slash and burn agriculture for about several thousand years. Definitely not enough to have a huge impact on our atmosphere Long enough. for it to be detected By a large portion of the known universe. So if another civilization like ours Were to try to look for us. They would need to be at least 100 light years away. Anything further than that wouldn’t know we have industry. But they would know there’s life at least plant life.
Yes. James Webb could detect chemicals that can only be made artificially most likely by an advanced industrial civilization. Examples are Chlorofluorocarbons which damage the ozone layer of a planet.
I think (but I'm not scientists and cannot be sure) what you call industrial atmosphere is something that heavy volcanic activities would also create so for that reason it will be difficult to pin down. Anyhow as we know humans exist on planet earths is just fraction on its lifetime and life before us industrial time make it almost impossible to expect to catch another industrial and high technical life out there ☺

Space is so waste and just the nearest planetary systems to earth are lights years away. We are doing great but its take years just to investigate objects so far. We could already have seen several planets that can or have live but, because of all difficulties it will take time and more time until we will know for sure.
Why don't they take a picture of the earth to prove that it's not Flat? Oh wait because the earth is Flat and we are the center of the universe or else we would exist on some other planet, or some other galaxy, the only reason we exist here is because this is the best probable scenario in all of the multi versal Flux dimensions
Uh... dude there are loads of pictures of Earth from space. Also, your logic is way off... We exist here as here allows for life. You can only observe that when you are in a place where life exists, duh...

Like maybe a sure sign of life .
You'll never get that discovery, because there is only intelligent life on earth.

Amazing? The title just flat out lies. It hadn't even viewed it yet!

Ok no more though. Thats enough already. Lets cruise on JWST till fusion is real.
Heres my thoughts if jw can peer into the depths of space then why not just look in our galaxy for things hubble didn't are can't see?
It will do

Of course Webb will do this. ☺
Webb will even look around in our own solar system as best I know
