How to wire wrap earrings from a stone strand

How to wire wrap earrings from a gemstone strand. This will be for a stone that is drilled all the way through the center. Depending on size and weight of stone. For a lightweight stone with a 1 mm to 2 mm drill hole size you can use 22 gauge dead soft wire. I’m using @artisticwirebrand / ‪@beadalon‬ brand
next, you just need a stone that’s about 2 inches long by 1 inch wide that is drilled through the center. Visit for stone options

i’m using copper hammered rings that are for sale in my store that are @nunndesign brand
liver of sulfur, if you choose to patina your metal & 2 ear wires
directions:
take two stones off your strand that are comparable in color & size if you want your earrings to match. Double check your drill hole & pick the size of wire you will need most cases 22 gauge will work perfect.
using round nose pliers from a very small loop. This will go at the base of the stone. You can also use this as a connector to add dangles underneath the stone if you choose. I do 1 wire wrap at the base of the loop to keep it small. About a total size of 3 mm.
slide stone on the wire & have it rest on the bottom loop. Take your round nose pliers & loop at the top of the stone. Hold your pliers out of 45° bring the wire on the outside barrel, back around over the top to the other side of the barrel & form a loop. I have YT tutorial on how to wire wrap this with a detail.
coil your wire over the stone & under the top loop 3 times. Cut off excess wire & pinch closed.
Add patina to antique metal
add 2 hammered rings & ear wires. And you’ve made a cool pair of earrings!
