The Haval Jolion, a compact crossover SUV produced by Great Wall Motor under the Haval brand, has been available since 2021. Initially introduced at the 2020 Beijing Auto Show as the successor to the Haval H2, it was briefly sold in China before becoming an export-only model.
Inside, the Haval Jolion features a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and satellite navigation, along with a 7.0-inch instrument display and a head-up display. Other interior amenities include a six-speaker sound system, synthetic leather upholstery, a six-way electric driver's seat with ventilation, dual-zone climate control, a PM2.5 air filter, wireless phone charging, and a choice of four interior colors. Built on the L.E.M.O.N. platform, the Jolion also underpins the Haval Big Dog.
The Haval Jolion was discontinued in China in 2021 but remains available in export markets. It comes equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 147 horsepower (110 kW; 149 PS) and 220 N⋅m (160 lb⋅ft; 22 kg⋅m). The vehicle features a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive.
In November 2021, the Jolion Hybrid debuted in Thailand, featuring a redesigned front end with updated headlights, turn signals, front bumper, grille, and rear bumper. This hybrid variant utilizes a 1.5-litre GW4G15H engine that produces a combined output of 140 kW (188 hp; 190 PS) and 375 N⋅m (277 lb⋅ft), paired with a DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) and a 115 kW (154 hp; 156 PS) electric motor.
In April 2024, GWM South Africa launched the Haval Jolion Pro, an export version of the Haval Chitu, positioned above the standard Jolion and replacing the mid-level Premium and Luxury trims. By June 2024, this model was introduced in Australia as a hybrid, retaining the Jolion Pro badge but marketed simply as the Jolion HEV to reduce confusion. Unlike the Chitu, the Jolion Pro features the same dashboard design as the standard Jolion.
