8:00 the gyroid pattern prints a bit slower but is for most applications the best infill as it will never overlap for the same layer (avoiding collisions), has great strength and saves on material
7:54 Gyroid infill (the one Scott chose) has little to zero same-layer-overlap Grid and cubic infill patterns often lead to print failures. The nozzle can scrape against previously printed lines, causing layer shifts or dislodging the print. This usually happens because the nozzle has to cross over existing lines on the same layer. The downside to using gyroid is that it shakes the printer, a lot 😅 I prefer cross-hatch but it still has the same problems as gyroid.
I would definitely do grid supports at all costs too if that was the case for me 😅 the things are lookin like octopus suction cups when you break them off
That’s extremely weird that the phone dock wouldn’t print correctly. I printed one back when it first went viral and it was great, but the design made it so that my phone was pretty warm in the morning when I woke up after having it on the charger overnight.
I remember reading about Fillamentum's Flexfill PEBA 90A shore hardness material, it should have really good energy return (aka 'bounce'), so if you decide to revisit this, that could be one of your options.
Why is the cover for the video on my laptop different from the one on my mobile phone? On my phone, it's the 3D-printed basketball. On my laptop, it's a portable Mac Mini.
hey! i actually just made a remix of the viral iphone dock shown at 8:00 and literally posted a video about it two days ago lol. small world :) it's awesome and i highly recommend making it!! (no bias whatsoever...)
You guys need to fix your Thumbnail, its super confusing to click on that and then the first part of the video being about a 3D printed basketball lmao
First I wanna say it's fun to show off prints but I am really confused about the tone and purpose of this video. Are you trying to teach? Are you trying to introduce 3d printing to an audience? Are you just going mom look what I can do? Just not sure what you want people to take away from this and I'm not sure there was anything to take away.
You print the cellphone speaker but don't really review it. You just filmed 4 people's reaction and move on to the next. How about telling us how it actually fucking sounds??
It's a gimmick thing we printed for the meme it's not that deep. (It sounded exactly what you think it'd sound like, it loosely directed the sound in a single direction)
Let's design the worst iphone case ever.
unnecessary inventions has joined the chat
Design idea #1: an iPhone case that makes it impossible to hold with one hand.
Apple already did that with the FineWoven cases.
Bro called Roblox SUBWAY SURFERS MINECRAFT EDITION lmfao
International. That made you comment about it, that's how these youtubers increase reach to the videos,
@@joeljain10did you mean “intentional”?
@@joeljain10you mean "Italian"?
@@joeljain10 You mean "Intersection?"
@@joeljain10 did you mean "Illustrational"?
Scott Yu-Jan mentioned :D
miles completley zoned out with barinrot 😭😭 3:30
7:54 he did not choose that infill pattern because it is cool. Gyroid infill is a good balance between strength and filament.
That intro was FIRE 🔥
Finally a popular RUclipsr who does a printer video without Bambu labs. I like my Bambu labs printers but we need variety.
The whole video was like a kickstarter promo
An Adam & Alex episode?! Let's gooooo!
2:45 Cool to see someone pronounce the name "Průša" correctly!

Thank you for dropping some knowledge!
We need an update to the team, who's new?
Use Flex PLA for the basketball
„That is broken“ 7:32 😂
3X Fred here we come!

So stoked Scott is getting some love! 🖤
I hate organic supports. Triggers my trypophobia like crazy.
I would definitely do grid supports at all costs too if that was the case for me 😅 the things are lookin like octopus suction cups when you break them off
is it just me or the phone should have been orientated with the screen to the front not the back to mach the port, not to muffle it....

The MKBHD team and 3D printed content? I'm here for it!
"This is a Roblox speedrun I put on at 2x speed" Wow he's literally me
i think this is the reason for Bambu labs winning. because they are more userfriendly i guess.
Undisclosed ads like this in EU are illegal
Please make more 3d print videos, just got into the hobby last year!
Cant wait to see the best version of the basketball and actually print it myself
LET'S GO FRED THE FROG BOIIIIZ
Shoutout @ScottYuJan he has one of the dopest channels on YT
This is facts
I second this, his videos are some of the most visually pleasing videos I have ever seen.
9:29 bro violated fred.😂😂😂
Crocs gonna sue them, 100%
Undisclosed ad for Prusa
So I need to collect my trash into selective to produce new and different trash from it? That's a good idea.
Thanks for sharing it ✌️
best video in this channel so far buddies.keep at it
I loved Miles' energy in this video lmao
3D printed content?
I’m sat!🥰
Scott's Mac Mini is so sick. The iPhone dock is a close 2nd.
What's the name of the special flexible PLA filament?
20 Seconds since uploaded
Glad to see a Prusa!
3:43 Miles was not with us.
Gotta mess with your top z distance with your support game ... Also fyi there are special filaments being made for basketballs.
wassup Studio crew
6:34 what if you have 2 3d printers?
I remember reading about Fillamentum's Flexfill PEBA 90A shore hardness material, it should have really good energy return (aka 'bounce'), so if you decide to revisit this, that could be one of your options.
I will for sure look into it, thank you!
These were some shockingly bad prints. I've printed Scott Yu-Jan's prints and they work great if you use the reccomended slicer settings
I've been doing this in my free time for a little over a month while also managing a production studio, give me a little leeway bruh 😂
Why is the cover for the video on my laptop different from the one on my mobile phone?
On my phone, it's the 3D-printed basketball.
On my laptop, it's a portable Mac Mini.
That phone holder really reminds me of the SNL selfie stick sketch
0:10 my man!
We got a LOK viewer in the house?
Studio channel has the balls to try and print there own ball 🥱
What if you used the multi filament printer to print the basketball with a more rigid PLA skeleton encased in a more flexible or rubber filament?
Literally was one of my first thoughts, pretty difficult to pull off but I'm working my way up. Or trying to anyway
Have you tried PEBA or PLA-HR filament?
Awesome video, will definitely tried some prints on my 3D printer 😅😊
2:55 we all know the real usage of this
My ancient Prusa Mk2 printed the iPhone dock in 26 hours and was perfect first go!
With an ancient printer comes years of knowledge printing with it 🙂 I'll get there myself at some point
I switched from usual tree supports to tree-slim supports and wow - they are much better! easier to remove!
I'll have to give this a shot!
a basketball that might?! bounce sounds like a tesla product 😂
Nice creativity ❤
Please do an episode 3D printing organization for your camera den
Get it right ballpoint ... song name at entry
My favourite youtube team💗

Knicks have been good if not decent this season though
Yeah but I'm 34 dude it's been a rough life overall 😂
On our way to 80k likes
What the hell is 2nd product 😂 I laughed hard at it
try PLA-HR from BiQu
I guessed this from the community post LOLLLLLL
4:45 i'm an idiot and it is the product's fault
I'm seated
Intro song, title please
Sorry grandpa 😂
You guys need to fix your Thumbnail, its super confusing to click on that and then the first part of the video being about a 3D printed basketball lmao
This video was too short!
Leaves room for a follow up later 😉
oiia 4:24
This video gave some weird dude bro energy. Dunno what was different honestly.
I am kinda a weird dude bro so this tracks
Here in less than 10 minutes
Why is taking Soo long to release videos on all channels 😩😩😩😩
😂

Just not sure what you want people to take away from this and I'm not sure there was anything to take away.
Why not print something useful?
Consumer-grade, plastics-based 3D printing is a scam.
Lol
