This kit goes together amazing! I had issues with the decals, the setting solution caused them to disappear after I put them on! Revell sent me a new set as replacements!
DMG,That's a bummer about the decals but glad Revell stepped up and please subscribe if you haven't already, to help us continue our mission to help more modelers! -Doug
FS, Yeah, had to toss that mic out! Hope you liked the review information though! Please subscribe if you haven't already, to help us continue our mission to help more modelers! -Doug
I just had to scrap this kit because the body was warped. It's a lovely kit, but the stripe decals were very tricky and I left off many of them. But it was a model I had wanted in my collection since childhood, and I'd gladly build it again.
David, Warped bodies can be fixed with the hot/cold water reshaping method and the decals in the latest released version of this kit are much better. Grab a new one and try again! Thanks for watching! -Doug
Revell U.S.A and MPC (Round2Models) had reissued the big 1/16 scale version of this kit about a year to two years ago;the kit is still available but it is not cheap, retailing for close to $50 depending on where the kit was bought from and if the kit is still in stock. The kit was only a limited production run;and has by now been discontinued but can still be found in most retail hobby shops & on most E-commerce websites, like Amazon and Model Roundup. The 1/16 scale Revell USA version is the 1987 Pontiac Firebird GTA;while the 1/16 scale MPC (Round2Models) version,is the 1979 Pontiac Firebird.
Devin, You're right, the 1:16 scale kits are getting hard to find but if you find the MPC kit we have a tutorial here... ruclips.net/video/Vu0BslGyz9Q/видео.html for you to use as a guide! Thanks for sharing! -Doug
