They erased K9999's existence.
During the chapter when Angel was remembering the end of KOF 2001, according to the manga (and later KOFAS), Angel was the one who betrayed NESTS, atracked Foxy and escape all by herself!
K9999 was never mentioned....

There are clear liberties taken, like how Igniz’s soul is trapped in Verse in XIV and as a program in the manga. But I imagine there are plenty of things that could carry over
Think how DMC1’s light novel had a lot of things used for the main canon but dropped plot points that wouldn’t fit like Gilver
Are Mukai Magaki and Saiki in Verse too

The only missing part was seeing the Samurai Shodown warriors appearing at the end...yeah the finale of the manga felt rushed.

Good Job by bringing characters we havent seen in the previous. First time seeing Tung, Ryo, Angel, Athena, Kensou and Geese as well as new characters. I like Shingo reaction bet he was glad he wasnt there.

Geese beats Verse at 5% power, has the power but remembers it's kof14 so he isn't at 100%, so you get the Terry treatment.

The order you're making these recap cartoons in is fascinating xD
Starting with 99 - back to 97 - 2001 - then back to 96 - even further back to 94 + 95 - 2000 - XI - back to 2003 and now straight to XIV!
I'm curious, what is the thought process behind this??
I made 99 first because I wanted to animate Krizalid first (he's my fav character), then 97 because it's popular in the series, then 2001 because I wanted to animate Krizalid again, and the rest ones are just in random order lol
also you got the wrong order in the last part, 2003 is between 94+95 and 2000
