Toll !!! Great video showing daily routine with a big mixture of people, nations, languages and even characters ( maybe once I watch how Japanesh children learn to write ). People hardly trying to learn and understand German. And the teacher is doing a great job as well. Despite the hard work I saw a nice atmosphere and great interactings 🙂

Sehr interessant, dass die Lehrerin selbst keine Muttersprachlerin ist (sie hat einen leichten Akzent). Aber ich finde, du solltest ihr sagen, dass sie die neuen Wörter ins Englische übersetzen soll, damit ihr alle die Wörter versteht.
Die Tatsache, dass sie keine Wörter in eine Zweit-/Mittlersprache übersetzt ist ein Zeichen dafür, dass sie einen richtigen Abschluss als Lehrerin für Deutsch als Fremdsprache hat (auch wenn sie selbst evtl nicht Muttersprachlerin ist).
Die aktuelle/moderne didaktische Vorgabe ist, während der Unterrichtseinheit nach Möglichkeit keinerlei Deutsch zu verwenden. Lernen durch komplette Immersion sozusgagen.
Das ist übrigens alles andere als einfach. Man muss quasi ständig abschätzen, ob die Gruppe in etwa versteht, was man meint, und ggf Synonyme/Erklärungen/Umschreibungen/Pantomime zu begriffen bieten. Das hält auf. Das frustriert. Alle im Raum.
Und an dem Punkt lasse ich die Katze aus dem Sack, ich bin kein Fan dieser 100% Immersions-Didaktik, vor allem nicht für die Erwachsenenbildung. Ich seh's bei Kindern ein, die keinen Zeitdruck haben, weil die nicht schnell in den Job oder ins Studium müssen, und weil idR ihr Aufenthaltstitel (noch) nicht von ihren Sprachkenntnissen abhängt. Aber für Erwachsene Lernende sehe ich es nicht ein, warum man sie ein Jahr oder länger in einer Kompetenzstufe hängen lässt, nur weil 60% des Unterrichts im zeitaufwendigen Immersions-Modus passieren muss.
Hab mal ein Jahr (zwei Semester) im Ausland Deutsch unterrichtet. Hatte anfangs auch noch den 'guten Vorsatz' die Immersions-Didaktik aufrecht zu erhalten (war ja so von meinem Deutsch-Institut vorgeschrieben). Aber irgendwann wurden meine Uni-Studenten immer frustrierter, weil es für sie so schmerzhaft langsam voranging. Das war ne Elite-Uni mit Studenten, denen Büffeln leicht fällt. Die wollten einfach nur schnell viel sagen können. Und auch für mich war es frustrierend, weil meine Gruppengröße bei 45 Leuten pro Gruppe lag. Da gibt es auch nach ner halben Stunde Erklären und Umschreiben immer noch welche, die es nicht verstanden haben.
Da der Kursabschluss keinen Einfluss auf ihre Noten hatte und in keinem international gültigen Zertifikat endete (dafür hätten sie sowieso nochmal zum Goethe-Institut müssen), und es nur ein einjähriger freiwilliger Einstiegskurs war, habe ich dann mit ihnen besprochen, dass ich ab jetzt Grammatik mit ihnen in Englisch bespreche, vergleichend zu ihnen bekannten lokalen Sprachen, und dass sie einfach die Übersetzung der Vokabeln bekommen. Und voilà, innerhalb kürzester Zeit machte es wieder Spaß, wir kamen fühlbar voran, alle waren interessiert, viele kamen mit Fragen zu Filmdialogen, die sie privat gesehen hatten zu mir, wir konnten Stunden zu deutschen Lieder einbauen usw.
Erwachsene lernen anders, verkopfter. Und wenn man sie das lässt, dann lernen sie auch effektiver. Ist auf jeden Fall meine Erfahrung. Und die Tatsache, dass man als 'ordentlicher Lehrer' für Deutsch als Fremdsprache in diese absolute Immersions-Didaktik gezwungen wird hat mir persönlich gezeigt, dass der Beruf nichts für mich ist.

Wow, thanks for showing us a part of your daily life in germany 😊 Do you think the others learn german faster or are you all on the same level in your class? What are the 9 other nations in your class people come from? :) And did you make any friendly connections there by now?
Thank you for the comment! Hmm that's a difficult question. I would say I could learn faster, but it's simply because my partner is German. There is also another person who has a German partner in our class and he also was a quick learner. He speaks English and we're the same age as well, around 20s. The speed of learning might depend on which language you speak and also the age too... Of course, it's not always the case though! The nationalities other than Ukraine were for example, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Irak, Pakistan, China, Nigeria, Congo, Turkey and so on ! And yes, I made friends with them fortunately! Our course is actually officially finished now but we still keep in touch and sometimes hang out together:)

I guess it's always helpful to have a partner like this, yes. Speaking and hearing things loud is the most important step in learing languages in my opinion.

I am also an aspiring vlogger and my integration course starts next week. I would also like to document my daily life, but the challenge is Germans especially professors are very sensitive when it comes to that.
Hi! Thank you for your question! The procedure that I went through was like this;
1 Ask the institution for the permit
2 Ask my teacher and the whole class for the permit (I made "Consent on the use of image rights" and got a sign from everyone. Those who don't want their face in the video agreed by the use of mosaics in editing)
The timing I asked them for the permit is almost 1 month before the Integration Course finishes. That could be one reason it went relatively smoothly because I already had the relationship I built with them.

That Teacher speaks a little bit weird like she comes from eastern Europe or something and isn't German ^^V
Not bad but not perfect as she even made some grammatically mistakes, still I couldn't do better teaching German and its nice that they tried to help with a Japanese translation even if it didn't help.
I am moving to Japan next month and will probably have lots of trouble in language school even though except for the Kanji I believe that German is harder then Japanese ^^
Even though our teacher isn't a native German speaker, she still has a doctor's degree in German language and her teaching style was the best fit for us! We all love her🙌🏼 And good luck on your stay in Japan! Hope you'll have a great time there😌🌱
Is it mostly Ukrainian in your class?
Yes! More than half of them are Ukrainian in my class:) But there are people from other countries too of course!
