As a Smite player who is loving Predecessor, thanks for this! You might’ve just saved me a lot of rage from my teammates with the last hitting minions… I kind of glossed over that part of the tutorial since I figured it was the same rules as Smite lol
My tip for new players is "the 5 sec rule" you should know that your going to die or get a kill 5 sec before it happens if your count is wrong there is something for you to learn or inprove on.
This! The official name is called the "DOTA Turn". Either you turn around and back, or you turn on them cause you know you can win the fight. I've done this so many times in Solo and it really distinguishes high lvl play
as a former smite player, a former league player, i am absolutely loving predecessor, i remember when it was called paragon, i remember when it had gone through so much. I'm glad to see it making a return and people are loving the game. if anyone wants to play, just reply with your friend code and i can add yall up. Let's get people playing together!
Thanks for this video, exactly what I was looking for before I hopped in! Coming from league so its very similar but the obvious big differences change a lot!
Correct me if I’m wrong but if you defend and downed inhibitor long enough it DOES regain the ability to shoot minions/players again. I do not have the exact time but it feels about 3min or more after respawn. Also, about the core, the LESS minions you have at the core when a player is there the player WILL take MORE damage. If one player is hitting the core with 10 minions, they take x damage, as the minions die off (and the player is uncontested by enemy team players) the core will do MORE damage to the player hitting the core. ie, go get more minions and come back. Edit: For wards, all players get 2 wards and supports get 3. While the support wards are on timers as you use them, they will also refresh to full, ALL 3, back at base while everyone else’s stay on a timer to refresh no matter what.
This got be one best guides ive seen thanks a lot coming from smite i found almost every other point helpful i would love if you do heroes guides even if its small video going over skills / combos less than 3 minutes each would be incredible you explain stuff very well

Because I thought that means your cooldown of the auto attack will be reset but yet I hear ppl talk about using auto cancel in context with heroes/abilities that actually don't auto cancel (for example wraith right click or e)
Good tip for new players is to get a good idea of how each character works in the practice area……. Oh wait you can’t since all characters aren’t unlocked in the training room
I really wish they had a practice/preview if you wanted to see if a new character matches your playstyle :( I guess there is the random free heroes that cycle but you got to wait for them to be available
I got a little tip for junglers. Try warding your mana buff off the bat, then recall and buy sentry ward and go steal the enemies' mana buff if they aren't there.

OG Paragon Player here....what kind of tips would you give for a returning seasoned player trying to get back in the swing? My muscle memory is returning I just feel like I'm missing something....
what if you're new to MOBAs? I have heard of all the terms but when you talk about jungle going prime etc and some shorthand goes over my head. Any recommendations on that stuff?
i just got this on ps5, ppl are hella clueless lol. why do we have 2 or 3 carries? why 2 mid laners and 1 is in offlane? why are ppl not selecting roles?
This game just trash, too many people play it randomly, inting and gifting kill no sense. And you cant do anything but just lose and lose by 0/12 teammets we need just new player can only vs bot untill account level 20/30. And the report system
Tip for new moba players. Don't copy builds from yt build them yourself so you know what the items do instead of picking an icon that a youtuber selected and not knowing what is is for. It takes time but it helped me more than copying blind.
im an ex league player but i ve played the original game (paragon) on ps3. I hope it takes off cause it could get league players (they've put vanguard on league so a bunch of ppls will get out of that game probably)
I would say yes. Tried to play League and Smite but hated both because of the learning curve and immense amount of heroes and items. This one was a much softer introduction and has become one of my main games since picking it up. Could be different from others’ experiences, but I’d definitely recommend it if the others are too daunting.
How do you text chat during match. I see some people do custom texts and I'm guessing they are on pc. I can custom chat when picking lane and character but during it only let's me use selected chat
The bonus damage it gives isnt more than What redbuff gives you, bluebuff is percent increase, so it's much less valuable early game. I believe that every jungler has faster clear by starting red buff
I'm new to the game and started in jungle, I was starting red , but then I was told to start blue instead of red one game. Is that viable or should jungle always start red?
That’s character dependent really. I go by if you’re an ability based character (Countess, Shinbi, etc) I’ll start blue for the ability haste it gives. If you’re a melee/auto character (Steel, Khaimera, Rampage, etc) I start red. In all honesty, you do you and try both to find what works for you. It’s all casual gameplay right now so use it to learn and explore.
Always let carry get last hit, better to have a fed carry than a fed support while carry falls behind 👍 I guess if carry is attacking enemies safely and some minions are about to be last hit those could be free game, as enemy kills gives more gold than minions Edit: support Crest has diminished gold for farming for the first 20 minutes of the game to prevent supports from stealing laners farm, but after 20 min is up feel free to farm what you like. Support also gets gold and exp from assists, though it's not explicitly shown besides gold going up.
I have a question, I went into a game as khaimera jungle, 2 mins. In the game a phase dced and no one took the offlane so I was forced to against a severog. I always had the sev under 30% hp he touched the creeps barely and I got the jungle creeps and red buffs twice on both sides. How is it that severog was a level above me when he just stayed on his lane and did the bare minimum when I went above and beyond to try and compensate for our dc. I found it so frustrating like I was being punished for trying to help my own team win
He was probably farming minions while also killing the cyan buff which gives xp tower deaths will give a massive chunk of exp so if your down 2-3 towers they will probably have a level over you
@@dragonzach3179 I got the cyan buff, i was all over him he sat in his tower most of the time that’s what I don’t understand 😒it really has me stumped I’d love to show Somone the game play and find were I went wrong

It's essentially canceling the end of an auto animation right into another ability animation ❤ like Kira auto attack + Mercy
