What's he have going on there? Looks like it goes up at the cleanout then there's a studer vent on a wye then it looks like it goes back down again on the other side.

Can’t stand a tee up like that on the drain section. Have to use wye’s

All of these are waste tee and it's just draining a tub. Seems to work fine

@@BrileyWray It’s code. Also you have to sleeve the pipe going through the wall

Tapcon solves that problem. Hell you got a hammer.. mushroom pin it. Hacktastic. (Edit) don't forget to put the word construction in your search for mushroom pins. The Internet is a weird place😁

I had had a terrible time getting tampons to work if the drill hole it's perfect so I just don't use them. Your right mushrooms would be a better option. This concrete has pea gravel in it so if you hit a piece of gravel your bit trays and you spend all day drilling holes. The wood insert is a quick way to make a anchor this is my house and no more weight than it's supporting I don't see a issue.. that's for the dialog though it helps my page grow

@@BrileyWray I get it. Probably more than a lot of people. My company does commercial construction. Like cutting concrete floor and fixing or adding to existing plumbing and electrical. All in one night.. yes we cut, excavate and add or fix and back fill and re-concrete all in one night. So hacktastic is my bread and butter. Will it fail eventually? Yes. Am I gonna be retired or dead before that? Yes.

Just a quick observation. Idk what size bit you were actually using(you said a 1/4 but that was not a confirmed size.) i always use a 3/16 bit to put in a 1/4 tapcon and 5/32 to put it 3/16 tapcon. I wouldn’t imagine you were trying to use anything bigger. I guess im more curious what you were trying to put in and what you were using to do it. Either way, im a roofer by trade and ive had it where i have to attach iso to concrete deck(using a different style screw) but i sympathize with drilling around in crappy concrete trying to find a freaking hole that holds. Best of luck to you sir.

@shanereitz7600 thanks. I didn't that particular bit for tapcons. But in the past I've had a hard time with them.
