The drone pilot needs a Raise !! Great job 🤙🏼👏🏼👏🏼
i live in vancouver so it's so wonderful to get to watch a gcn video on streets that i ride on ...
Seriously give a promotion to the guy who edited this video. Amazing and beautiful video!
“It’s incorrect to not be up here as a cyclist.” I can’t think of a more Canadian way to stress urgency!
Canada is the best place to ride BMX!! Gravel is just an otherway to distory a carbon-fibre frame even faster!!!!
Is marine drive safe to cycle on ?
Whilst still waiting for one or two replacements for Emma, nice to see Steph as a guest on GCN. More women on GCN please!
stop being sexist. no difference
@@LoscoeLad Muh wokeness.
I Agree! Poor Manon :(
Oh to be looked at the way steph looks at Jeremy 😍
she wanted to make sweet sweet cookies for him
@@yellekoeel12 mate she is no monster at all! She is thick, fit, fine and all of that! Jeremy (wears his ring) prob went home and thought. "Yeah, big daddy still got it!"
@@yellekoeel12 perhaps she is just a real good listener
@@scootosan There's listening and then there's "listening".
I think she's trying NOT to notice the camera! She was nervous, and staying focused!
As North Vancouver resident and huge GCN fan, this episode is a pure enlightment. My two of my go to place, Horseshoe Bay(half of my strava post is horseshoe Bay route.) and the Cypress Bowl (My workplace/Training ground, talking about "casual" commuting😂)
Glad you have enjoyed visiting in Vancouver!
Steph did an awesome job! She seems to be really kind, respectful and attentive. Maybe next GCN presenter? At least have her in some more videos! Nice job!
Musette, Stanley Park, Cypress, Red Truck, Kits.... And an obligatory Cervelo.... Definitely a Vancouver ride
Hahaha, Classic Vancouver rider
Sometimes you just look at something like this, and after numerous pauses to take it in you ask yourself "why aren't I living there?" So this video gets saved and watched again-and probably again. Thanks, GCN, for the lovely tour.
Visit first before you move there. All of Canada’s drug addicted and homeless already had the same thought, and it’s only getting better with drug legalization.
Great place to live, although I'll warn you we get as much rain as Glasgow!
Thanks to Grunchy and UrBuuuuudy for the reply. Been tinkering here with the Canada fixation since a visit to the Banff area last year. You're right though, due diligence is much more practical than basing moving decisions on romantic and baseless assumptions. Thanks, again. Richard
Agree with all the comments I moved there on a work visa. When the sun is shining it's absolutely incredible and even watching this makes me want to go back. However it rains for about 9 months of the year and the down town areas drug problem is really out of control. If you ever want to go stick to the north shore it's wonderful.
Thanks, Matthew. It took much time to adjust to Atlanta's seemingly endless rain after so many decades in central Florida. I'll be a visitor up that way henceforth and in the dryer seasons. Cheers and safety to you in this risky era. Richard
I ride this route a couple times a month. One of the best rides anywhere. Amazing views and a solid workout.
Sunset helps me, even though I’m not there... but home recovering from a cold. Thnx for bringing some virtual warmth and sunshine!
Kudos to Steph! Natural in front of the camera and a great ambassador for our friends to the north
Man... I've lived in Vancouver for a couple of months. Broght back a lot of good memories... thank you for this awesome video! The cinematography is unreal!!
Stanley park is an actual forest. Central park was constructed.
I love these cycling focused videos, thanks GCN! Keep'em comin! Canada looks beautiful from any angle. 👍🤘
Don't forget the LSCR trail. That little 10k rip takes you through the woods out to the Seymour dam. The main trail is smoothly paved, and car free. There is a lot of gravel and easy double track, not to mention all the mountain biking. Jeremy would love it!
@The Canada First Party uh... okay.
We went to Vancouver on holiday this time last year - an absolutely wonderful holiday destination, one of our very favourite places.
We hope you have the opportunity to visit again!
I always looked at European destinations as being the best road riding places, but watching this just reinstates how good I have it. These routes are my weekly rides. Man I got it good!! Well done GCN to show case this great city from a roadies perspective.
Oh so she made the cookie you had to stop for on grand fondo 🤙🏼👏🏼👏🏼 a woman who cycles and bakes!! I’m in love 🥰😘
😁
Literally just got back from a weekend trip in Vancouver. Absolutely blown away. A hidden gem for sure!
lived in campbell river on vancouver island from 73-86 moved back here to quebec , watching video made me appreciate the time spent there the views are great need to get back there to visit my brother on the island and get some great cycling in
I live here and love it. Four hour club ride this morning into the afternoon . Nicely tired and horizontal with my Labrador and mixed breed from Texas. Life is good.🚴🏼👍😎
Grew up in Van and moved to Ottawa 15 years ago. If I could afford it, I'd move back in heart beat. Superb riding, Superb mountain biking (North Shore legendary) and of course the skiing. Good job GCN
Skedbrah Gatineau park is not bad for cycling either! Especially on bike Sunday’s. Really miss Ottawa’s cycling routes after moving back to Toronto.
XC in Gatineau Parc is the best!
Pretty cool views! But Gatineau Park DOES kick some serious cycling ass!
Thanks Skedbrah
They rode my daily bike commute! It really is a great place to be. Riding the bridge at 7am in the summer on a clear day is stunning.
Thx for the inspiration. First business trip to the city, rented a bike, done Grouse Mtn. - Horseshoe - Stanley - Granville - Coal Harbor ... I’m in love with Vancouver 😻
@12:49 Jeremy was so happy when he got to ride a short section of gravel 😂 Awesome video. Great production quality!😊👍
Just rode my first ever gravel race. 27 miles 2800 feet of elevation gain, I somehow got 1st in my age group. Been watching you guys to help learn how to ride, clip in, and training tips for first time racers. Thank you
All gods! What a beautiful part of the world. Great job GCN!
So cool seeing my hometown represented on GCN!
love cycling around Stanley Park in the early morning just as the sun rises!
Wherever GCN rides, the sun shines. I am wondering what special even they are putting together to celebrate 2 million Subs. That's gonna be magic!
Thoroughly enjoyed that video! Made my morning. Very well shot and presented. Thank you!
Triple crown was my favorite ride to do. Great video and editing. Keep up the amazing quality GCN!
Vancouver looks absolutely breathtaking great vid 👍👍
So awesome to see GCN on one of my favourite routes!
I was expecting a collab with IFHT but this is fine too! Beautiful ❤️
mahalo my dude
Awesome video guys. I’d love to see more of this travelogue type content. Vancouver looks amazing. Keep it coming.
Thanks Alan
what a wonderful, ride and video,of a spectacular city! thanks for the tour. the two of you make a heckuva riding team! Thoroughly enjoyable!
Beautiful! Definitely inspired me to both visit Vancouver and get out on my bike even more! Well done GCN, Jeremy, and Steph!
Thanks Daniel!
I recall someone mentioning Vancouver when GCN asked about epic cycling they missed. Glad to see they have been able to get a ride in the area so more people could see how beautiful it is.
Something else that was great to see is how polite the traffic is to cyclists.
That place looks gorgeous.
Another amazing GCN vid! You folks are killing it!! Thanks for the awesome content!!!!! 🙌🏽
Great video. Lovely pictures. Super chemistry with the hosts. You did Vancouver a solid. Absolutely one of the best places to ride a bike in North America! Especially, if it's a part of your weekly routine.
This was fantastic! Thanks for sharing more of Vancouver
How did I miss this first time round? Brilliant, am loving JPow touring North America, and also doing normal bike rides, rather than insane endurance things. Spot on.
Jeremy is so fitting the GCN team! In the last third of the video, he is speaking ONLY about how excitedt he is getting a coffee. LOL. Great city, and great video you guys!
I'm falling in love with this location and haven't even been there yet.❤❤❤😊😊
Awsome city, great riding around Stanley Park and on the North Shore. Love it 👍
What an awesome looking place. Brilliant video!
Brilliant video today. Lovely scenery and was really informative. Definitely on my bucket list now. 😊
I've never heard of her before. But wow! Her eyes are captivating. And her smile just draws you in. I mean, beauty any way you look at it ....look at her. I mean guys must fall in-like with her every time they meet her. She is ....I'm speechless. Or is that textless? Anyway, wow.
I live in Vancouver ....I'm not in her league when it comes to cycling shape, but to see them ride so far is amazing.
And she seems to modest and humble as she did not want to talk about her own accomplishments of which I am sure there are many.
Nice - Whytecliff Park loop on West Van is a gem. I miss not living and riding there anymore! Cool to see GCN do a spotlight on it! 💚💚
Awesome. Thanks. Has been high on my bucket list to go cycling in Vancouver.
Good to see my city here, and my favorite ride, Stanley Park loops!
I noticed that the Brits are having an influence on Jeremy...his first "coffee" of the day with Stef was actually a Tea
It's all fun and games until you look at Vancouver real estate prices.
Exactly, lived there for little over a year. As nice as it is its just too expensive.
@@TheTonicro Could you compare it to Toronto and Montreal ?
@@biggerdaddy123 sorry can't help you i didn't spend any time at either
Vancouver real estate exists pretty much to launder Asian drug money. The city seems busy but a sizeable percentage of it sits vacant.
Sadly our Real Estate prices will get even higher if our southern neighbours don't rid themselves of their Political cancer!!!
One of my favourite cities. Makes me want to move there even more!
You need $$$$$$$$$$$$ to live in Hongcouver
Loved Vancouver. Got to ride round Stanley Park and downtown. So want to go back and get to ride the triple crown!! Thanks GCN!!👏👏
Come stay with us when you visit again!
Love Vancouver, and the whole of BC! (Washington state's favorite neighbor to the north!) Never had a bad visit north of the border.
Beautiful! Would love to go and try it out. As always with our Canadian friends, it's just so laid back and looks so enjoyable! (Secretly jealous.)
Video footage on this is just incredible!
Thanks Mark
It's even better irl
Love the way the ride ended with Awesome Red Truck beer
Great work Steph and Jeremy and the camera crew. Get Steph in more videos! Vancouver looks like a really great place to be.
I love everything about this video!!!
Great video of my hometown and good route choice. For anyone thinking of visiting, other great routes include Deep Cove / Mount Seymour (about 12 km, 1000+ m elev), the Seymour Demonstration Forest (22 km return car-free route through the forest), and the flat trip to Steveston Harbour in Richmond, possibly the best year-round coffee ride ever. And yes, go ride in Victoria. It's unbelievable. And the Okanagan, where riding, wining and dining are inseparable.
That young lady is delightful. I felt like she had a lot more to say about her town,
(which I'm sure there is). I really want to see that town since it is so close to where
I live and thanks to this video, seeing it on a bike looks like the best way.
Jerry Gundecker well there is a street near bay has many amazing eateries like death by chocolate which is fine dinning for only desserts !!! Amazing places to eat 👏🏼👏🏼😂
Young? She's probably 40
Still one of my favorite gcn videos of a area! Good stuff!
what a beautiful place - I am so there within the next few vacations
We can't wait for you to visit Vancouver!
Went to that very conference centre in July 2012 for the World Veterinary Dermatology Congress. I took my bike from England on Air Transat (only £25 each way!) and enjoyed these very same routes whilst I was there! Did my longer rides in early morning 6 am and did both Horseshoe and Cypress Mountain. The smell from the Cypress trees on Marine Drive in the early morning was fantastic. On a couple of evenings did multiple loops of Stanley Park. Must be one of the best large cities in the world to live. Great memories of that trip.
Are there vet dermatologists? I would've thought skin disease it would just be small part of general practice tbh. Psoriatic disease in dogs who'd have thought.
glenny oc Domestic animal’s don’t suffer with psoriasis. Skin and ear disease accounts for about 25% of a small animal vet’s clinical case load!
@@davidbentley8634 wow that much.
I just want to walk around downtown Vancouver Canada and take in the sights and culture.❤❤❤😊
14:35 I ran through there with my sister on an absolute downpour of a day when I went up to visit her last summer. Cool to see a place you've actually been to IRL featured in a GCN video.
Can’t wait to get back to Vancouver
simply stunning
I was chatting with my Brother in Law, who lives not far from the Musette Cafe, comparing Vancouver and Ottawa cycling. He pointed out there was not a single month in which he did not, at some point, ride in shorts. There were months where those days are few and far between but that is small consolation in mid February when my bike is firmly mounted in the trainer.
I'm spinning on my indoor bike at home in Crewe, England, dreaming of beautiful Vancouver!😟❤
Even though i live in Switzerland im still jealous of Canada, especially the area from Vancouver to Calgary...
Awesome Vid. Still lots more to explore in Van as a cyclist but a nice sample of the good rides here. Steph was a great pick for local ambassador to show you around!
awesome vid! i visited vancouver on a big trip trough canada last year and i miss it so hard. hope i can visit bc again soon.
Come stay with us when you visit again!
Great video!! Steph is very cool (and very easy on the eyes)!! You should make her a GCN presenter for Canada/West Coast! Sign her up before GTN does!
Awesome film, all your videos put a smile on my face and put me in a positive mood. Ps just bought my first gravel bike too, loving it👌🚴♂️
For a gravel bike, Jeremy's bike is always super clean :o
it's illegal to have a dirty pinarello
Awesome videos Jeremy hope to see more of this videos
My stomping grounds. Well done you two. Happy to see you represent it so well. Thank you. Hopefully, the next stop is Vancouver island. Or actually, maybe I don't want anyone else to know about it. Some secrets are better kept quiet.
We won't tell anyone.....
Hesjedals Tour de Vic might enjoy some GCN love and a shiny video like this. 😉
Lovely part of the world
Welcome to my home town! Commuter biker here for 30 years. I now live in delta just outside Vancouver . My current home town DELTA has close to zero bike lanes unfortunately:-(
I’ve been living in Vancouver for a year and half now and I have to say there are some good road and gravel rides here, but the selection is pretty limited beyond the few good routes. It makes for a great weekend on the bike though. Riding the sea to sky highway is pretty brutal actually as the traffic is fast and busy and us cyclists are stuck on a tiny shoulder. Still, the drop bar riding is pretty rad here.
Getting off the road though: The mountain biking here is absolutely incredible and offers the ultimate in variety.
I ride from downtown to Chilliwack for shits and gigs.... Sea to Sky is pretty fun regardless of shoulders.... Hope you enjoy yourself here. Came from Winnipeg in 2008 so I know all about the adjustment period
I live in Vancouver too, having moved from the UK in 2005, and totally agree with you. The Musette Caffe, my local coffee shop, is great though!
Vancouver drivers are dickheads. I moved across the water to Victoria. Cycling infrastructure is at another level.
@@jordangraff2254 invite me next time
Overall awesome video! It's great to see some of my favourite routes getting some love. As a Vancouverite tho, so many of these shots are just slightly off. UBC is at the end of the peninsula (just out of the shot to the right), the "Gulf Island" that they show is actually Bowen Island (not really a gulf island, but part of the Howe Sound ground). Lots of the Marine drive shots on the way to Horseshoe Bay were actually taken on the way back since the ocean should have been on their left on the outbound trip. Not a complaint, just funny to see. Steph seemed super lovely! Great video :))
GCN IS a great channel , thanks for this video , that was really pretty cool
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
I’m just here for the compliments on Vancouver 😜✌🏻
Nice video, great cinematography. Got two sisters up there, going to tell them to get out the bikes next time I am there.
Only one thing to say, you've got to come ride Vancouver Island, GCN... best riding on Earth...
Cool to see my local hangout on GCN!
As road bikers, I'm assuming that the Grouse Mountain part of the triple crown they referred to was just to the base of the passenger gondola. Mountain (& even hybrid) riders can go all the way to the top on a dirt access road, a true wilderness experience right on the edge of the city. With beer at the top.
robadr1 I had no idea! Which trail ? 🤪🙏
Very lovely.
Spectacular trail! Hope I can come one day 👍🏼
that kind of videos that I love
Great place to ride.
GCN you need to checkout some rides on Vancouver Island as well!
We can't wait to come back and explore some more
@The Canada First Party That is a very good question, I'm still scratching my head! I'm shocked how many leftists there are on the west coast. Perhaps they are only relying on the mainstream media for information, which as you know are bought out by tax payers money.
@The Canada First Party Indeed, corruption is rampant.
