Means the characters will have emotional expresions in this
I certainly hope so. I have to admit that while the photo realistic stylization is gorgeous and everyone who worked on it should be extremely proud of their work. But the last film definitely needed a bit more emoting. I'm hoping Disney learned their lesson from the last film and we'll see better emoting in this and in the upcoming sequel.

My theory is that mufasa the lion king based on Macbeth, Joseph, and Cain and Abel
Well, there are elements of Hamlet in The Lion King itself...such as Scar killing his brother the king, taking the crown for himself and the young prince returning and eventually avenging his father's death.
Blue Ivy Carter is going to be Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala. That little cub jumping to the lake at end of the trailer is her.

@@isaiahadams1208 The story of Mufasa and Scar (real name Taka) is going to be told by Rafiki to Kiara, so we will have flashbacks with Mufasa's story and in the present which is months after the first live action with Simba, Nala, Timon, Pumba, Zazu, Rafiki and with the introduction of Kiara. The cub's personality and the colour of the fur in the end of the trailer is similar to the animated Kiara, so I think it's her exploring the Pride Lands.
@@turbolid not told by Rafiki I don't think. Donald Glover is credited so it's gonna be Simba telling Kovu I think. We know from Simba's pride that Simba told Kovu the story of Scar but we don't know exactly what was said. I think this will elaborate on that.
@@brandontyler1754 That is in the animation. In the live action, it's Rafiki telling the story of Mufasa to Kiara. It's in the synopsis of the film.

Looks a hell of a lot better than the 2019 remake of The Lion King, thanks to the upgrade from Jon Favreau to Barry Jenkins allowing for animals to be more expressive and full of emotion, allow for more freedom in the color grading and cinematography, and the choice of having Lin-Manuel Miranda do the music/original songs.
I was lucky to see footage at D23 in 2022 that had the animals in Mufasa show emotion.
I think the lion cubs are Kiara and Kovu! And maybe Rafiki is telling them the story about Mufasa and Scar!? .. Have to watch the sequel again, it`s been a long time. Greetings from Germany❤

Hopefully the technology they used from the 2019 remake has improved for the characters to be more expressive. I dig the new environments.
From what i can remember i think there are stories that takes place long before Mufasa was regarded as a wise and great king, when he was still a cub and not just him either also his brother Taka(scar) and their father was was king but I don't think it was official cannon to the lion king movies and series

I have questions whereis scar, I mean I didn’t see him in this trailer? he is Mufasas brother so why didn’t we see him in this trailer?
They might be saving him for the actual full length trailer. Don't forget that the very first teaser for the The Lion King remake didn't show us Scar either until that first full trailer came out. But he is definitely in this movie being played by Kelvin Harrison Jr.

Well, I did hear that Hans Zimmer, Pharrell Williams, Mark Mancina, and a couple other people are joining together to compose the score for this film. So that ought to be interesting. We shall see! Well, I’m glad I’m not the only one that will give this prequel a chance.

I like to live action remake because it was literally the same movie as the one that came out in 94 the same movie so of course I’m gonna like it but I get it. The lines look too realistic for other people. I did because it’s the same effing movie so I enjoyed it.

This is Not Live Action and looks lifeless.. Sorry just bring back 2D animation. By the way I have the Lion King in 3D the original classic and it looks way better then this crap.
