Biggest thing to know; *The Old Republic Era from the Rakatan Empire all the way up to the current events of the DLC’s In Swotor is the fucking sexiest and most immersive era of Star Wars in my opinion.*
Fact. Also what I like about The Old Republic era is that it’s basically a franchise on its own within a bigger franchise. You can dive into it without knowing anything about Star Wars and still get everything you need to know through these products. You don’t have to know what the Force is, what the Jedi and the Sith are. Games, comic books and novels set in The Old Republic era provide more than enough exposition for anyone who chooses them as an entry-point into Star Wars universe. Actually, in my opinion, they’re doing a better job at this than even the movies themselves. That’s why even if you watched the movies and didn’t like them for some reason, there’s still a chance that you’re gonna love The Old Republic era, so it’s worth giving it a shot, as it is a very different experience.
Funny the big differences in Galaxy's aesthetics between the "Tales of the Jedi" and "KOTOR" Eras. Despite being separated by only 40 years, the first one looks like aztec civilizations and the latter's appereance is exactly like in the prequels.
Which makes it more ironic that the two stories aren't that far apart timeline wise. Especially since Bastille Shan was originally meant to be one of the Sunriders, Vima I think.

Okay so I see a lot of people talk about grey jedi, and I think theirs some misconceptions. In one of the Obi-Wan books from way back in the day, they talk about an individual called a grey jedi, Qui-Gon say: it’s a term for force sensitives who leave the jedi order but don’t fall to the dark side. Essentially they are a bunch of apathetic hermits that remove themselves from the challenges of the galaxy. Let me disabuse a notion for a second: Kreia, Revan, and Metra Surik, are not Grey Jedi. What Kreia hopes her pupils become is more along the lines with either an Improved Sith, a sith who doesn’t become consumed by their desire for power or an Improved Jedi, a jedi who still has their own identity and goals. If we have to color code it, Kreia and the iconic jedi of the old republic are not grey but rather purple jedi. This concept is even further elaborated on in Kotor 2 with the often repeated line: apathy is death, a warning from Kreia, she doesn’t want neutral balance of the force, but rather a balance in the Jedi/sith code on either respective side

Man when I was 8 I remember seeing nihlus and revan, but since I never saw them in the movies I pushed them aside, but until the beginning of high school swbf2 got more me interested in them

That would be a good video, who is the greatest tactician in all of Star Wars. There would be some steep competition with characters like Revan, Thrawn, Oppo Rancises, Treanch, and so on.
Pretty sure Thrawn would have lost badly to Revan at his prime, though not many would have made it through on either side of the battle. Does someone think The Mandalorian Wars was like The Pacific Theatre in WW2? Seriously, The Republic (America) vs. The Mandalorians (Japan), The Mandalorians invading Non-Republic worlds (like Japan invading Non-American Territory, like China, and others), then starting the war with The Republic by attacking Taris (Japan attacking Pearl Harbor, making America get involved in the war directly), The Mandalorians refusing to ever surrender to Republic forces because of honor (Japanese soldiers never surrendering because of Bushido-styled honor), Malachor V getting completely destroyed by a superweapon, which also destroyed The Mandalorian Fleets (Hiroshima/Nagasaki getting annihilated by America's biggest weapon, The A-Bomb), and finally, The Mandalorians surrender to The Republic (Japan surrendering to America). Should I mention Revan was like Eisenhower in combat?

I’m hoping they will simply have a new game system of actually aiming or using attack patterns rather than just selecting an attack option and waiting, maybe like Halo or Star Wars Jedi fallen order, but as for the dialogue and story I just hope they keep everything the same, maybe just copy and paste the original dialogue, there’s no need to change it, it’s perfect the way it is, perhaps if add anything maybe a few new missions, worlds and scenarios??? You never know maybe someone from the actual video game company will happen upon this video and wish to see the publics opinion of it. if anyone from the company doing the remake reads this, here are voice!!! see and read what we want!
Always have to remake or re-imagining things that are near perfect. That's what lazy companies are doing. Ghostbusters, Fantasy Island, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc. The list goes on and on. Anyone seen Dune? Good lord
@Exar kun The dark side cosmic entity like it or not, that is the new canon and this game is going to be in it, so I wonder what they are going to change. Hope they do not change many things and make canon the entire back story, maybe will get new old republic comics with this.
Oh before i play it? I would love to play it if i could get a system at retail cost. And to be completely honest, its gotten to the point where i don't think i want a system now. This is absurd, so... ill probably just wait for the PC release.
I don't think PC players will be much better off. This remake is going to be a PlayStation exclusive, at least a timed one. And it varies how long games stay PlayStation exclusive. F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch just launched today on PC exactly a month after its initial, PS-exclusive launch, but Bloodborne is still exclusive with no announced plans for a PC port.
Korriban Genocide 9.6 billion dead. Never forget. *Paid for by the Sith Sphere of Galactic Influence under the orders of Darth Xarion and Empress Acina*

Not looking forward to it. It's a "remake", not a "remaster". Not to mention that they hired someone who didn't even like the original KOTOR to be in charge of the project for some reason. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

How about how Kotor 2 resumes what kotor 1 left off at? And who is Kreia?
I really hope the keep the original Revan faces, at least the far superior white dude soul patch buzzcut Revan
So for the pc version, is it going to be released on steam, epic or something else ?
The old republic era is ny favorite, but I fear for the remake
The original games are backwards compatible and yes i am excited at least a little.
Always have to remake or re-imagining things that are near perfect. That's what lazy companies are doing. Ghostbusters, Fantasy Island, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc. The list goes on and on. Anyone seen Dune? Good lord
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Which faction you guys joining?
Old Republic lore is like Star Wars on crack
I wonder if they are going to make exar Kun canon in the remake or just going to mix the Story of Joli Bindo with the Mandalorian war.
@Exar kun The dark side cosmic entity like it or not, that is the new canon and this game is going to be in it, so I wonder what they are going to change. Hope they do not change many things and make canon the entire back story, maybe will get new old republic comics with this.
Hello there
General Kenobi??? Is that you?
@@geetslys you know it to well
Oh before i play it?
I would love to play it if i could get a system at retail cost.
And to be completely honest, its gotten to the point where i don't think i want a system now. This is absurd, so... ill probably just wait for the PC release.
Will the new game be available on mac? I want to play the original but I don't have a PC
There's a Remake!!!
When is it due to Launch..❓
KOTOR REMAKE!?! IT MUST BE MY FUCKIN BIRTHDAY!!!😍🎂
💙❤️💙💜💚💜💙❤️💙
that's it I'm getting a Revan tattoo
look Kotor was already great I revisit it every year or so
You bet your shebs i'm hyped for the remake!!! *[cries in Xbox]*
Gross, xbox

Is there a time period before the old republic
Back when people didn’t need high ground to win
When are they going to release this for pc?
yes, but for PS first
Who cares, won't be good anyways
I don't trust the remake after finding out who is gonna be writing it. Who tf hires someone who hated the original?
That is IF the people in charge of the remake don’t screw around with the story and rewrite it.
Hopefully we do not see that...
The original KOTOR is coming to Switch soon.
Korriban Genocide 9.6 billion dead. Never forget.
*Paid for by the Sith Sphere of Galactic Influence under the orders of Darth Xarion and Empress Acina*
Wish it wasn’t a point and clock mmo.. that play style will never appeal to me.. the graphics and the lore are impeccable though
they gonna change the story no doubt.
I'd love to play Kotor and Kotor 2 again but the game disks don't really run well on my laptop anymore. Idk if the game or my laptop but does anyone know a good place to get the game some other way?
You can get both of them on mobile.
Is it PlayStation only
Please, more commercials during the videos would be nice
Well about that...
I was excited for the remake until they announced the psycho doing the rewrite. I have very little hope left for it.
you forgor revan wouldnt have been defeated if malak didnt betray him by firing on his ship revan lost his memory so the jedi council decided to brainwash him and make him a knight again and he and bastilla worked together and eventually recovered his former memories then fell in love and then bastilla was captured by malak and shown what terrible shit revan did and then was turned to the darkside then revan turned her back to the light side after i forgor wat happened :skull:
Not looking forward to it. It's a "remake", not a "remaster". Not to mention that they hired someone who didn't even like the original KOTOR to be in charge of the project for some reason.
I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so.
I am a huge fan of the original Knights of the Old Republic, I have them both for the original Xbox still, I believe this remake is going to destroy the game, yet on the other hand I can't wait for it... 😂😂😂
I’m upset it’s not on Xbox😫
