    Is there any way you guys could open the show with the early-mid 90s version of the SportsPage intro? Or is that copyrighted and owned by Bell or something? Just for a bit of nostalgia.

    Maybe Petey is from a culture or age that might be considered soft. Even so, if he feels bullied how can he come to work every day and be expected to perform at a high level? Once Miller is gone we'll see if his play bounces back.

      In the mind of Elias, he considers JT Miller to be an intimidating bully which affects Elias’s performance.

    maybe when D-Petey an Willander get in this team will really take off . I think when you heard Demko say they had some internal meetings is the guys saying enough is enough to both players just play hockey

    We’re all sick of this story. Time to move on from JT. Keep Brock and play him with Petey. Get a D man and a center for Miller. Use your assets to re jig.

      Trade Brock too; especially with his increased value past 2 seasons. He’s not an 8x8 player. I wouldn’t want to pay him more than 6 (under 7) per 3-4 years from now.

    If Petey can at least bring his production up to the point per game level, well maintaining his defensive play, his contract won't look as insane as it does now in a couple years. If quinn hughes signs right now. 15 aav min. Fans need to stop comparing peteys contract to the ones signed during the flat cap seasons.

    Rutherfraud should be fired for even thinking of a Petterson trade. 11.6 is a red herring. Players worth that don't come available. All you'd get is 2 overpaid 5.8 million dollar players

    • @christhornycroft3686
      @christhornycroft3686 День назад +2

      I see what you're getting at. I wouldn't put it that way, though. They signed him to a 11.6M contract because that's what market value was for a player of his age and scoring history. Salaries are out of control, but if you want to keep elite 2 way players, you have to pay this money. Sure, he's not performing to that level this season, but he's young, and this only happened when we started hearing about his issues with JT Miller. He's always in the middle of everything negative. And like you said, who do you replace him with? Chances are, it's dollar in, dollar out, so you're not saving cap. You're just getting even worse, even more overpaid players who nobody wants.

      "Red herring"? Are you kidding me? His stats sure aren't a red herring, they're definitely not worth 11.6 million.

    The never-ending Miller-Petterson soap opera continues. Jim Rutherford's interview was an admission of failure, let's get that straight for all the loyal Canucks fans. Rutherford set the stage for the Miller-Petterson story, when he signed Petey to the huge contract making him the 5th Highest Paid player in the NHL. He is on the same list as Matthews, McDavid, Mackinnon, and Ovechkin. The tragic part of the story is ---- Rutherford and Allvin have made a huge mistake! Petey is NOT worth the big money. He is NOT an elite franchise player like the other big names --- not even close. HIs stats are terrible for the money he gets and it's hurting the team. If this creates tension and resentment among players like JT Miller, I'm not surprised. The problem with Petterson is he is NEVER going to become the elite player Rutherford and Allvin thought he would. You can see it every game. As a long-time NHL hockey fan for about 60 years, I am not going to buy into the BS hype. I doubt whether Canucks can trade Petterson --- who would want him?

      Nathan MacKinnon didn't hit a 100-pt. season until his 10th yr in the league. After his first season, he put up 38, 52, 53 points. Next few seasons he approached 100. Matthews didn't net 100+ points until his 6th season, previous five years averaged out = 70 points. You would have been screaming bust if it was MacKinnon based on your logic here.
      Pettersson is strong two-way, he can snipe the puck, his passing and vision on ice is arguably bar none, I mean put him with bonafide wingers as MacKinnon had/has since breaking out and may be a different story. This fanbase just loves negativity though.
