(The Books for MKs Charity organization had to close in 2020. There are still some older videos asking for donations to the charity, but the charity has closed and is no longer accepting donations. Thank you.)
I love your recommendations so much! They are not the same repeated ones you find everywhere. Thank you
Aw, thank you!
Im so interested in The Lunar Chronicles!! I need to read that series😎
I'm about half way and loving it!
I love this video! So many of these are on my TBR because of your channel, I really need to get to them :) I also loved the Lunar Chronicles, it would probably make my top ten as well!
That's great! I already want to reread Lunar Chronicles again. It's so full of interesting details.
@@LuminousLibro me too!
So many good choices! The New Policeman Trilogy looks good! The fact that it's set in Ireland is always a plus for me.
One of the cool things about New Policeman is that it includes sheet music to a whole bunch of traditional Irish songs. Because the main character is a musician, that's how the fae entice him into their world. Music plays a huge part in the story, and I spent the entire time reading the book listening to recordings of the actual music that is featured in the plot.
@@LuminousLibro That is really cool! I love when books incorporate music!
Words of Radiance from the Stormlight Archives is my favorite! Thanks for sharing yours - there were many I didn't know.
Great video idea! I am excited to get to The Name of the Wind someday. I didn’t realize the main character was a musician!
Yeah, Music plays a really big part in the plot of Name of the Wind. I should really do a favorites list about musician characters!
I'm going to make this a video series... Top Classics from the last 10 years, Top Mystery, Middle Grade, NonFiction, etc...
Books for MKs I can’t wait to watch those videos!!!
I honestly feel like you would enjoy Brandon Sanderson's books. They're all very fast paced and fun, never uncouth or graphic (though characters do die).
Mistborn (aka The Final Empire) or Elantris or Warbreaker might be of interest if you want to dip your toes in his books. The latter two books are standalones.
So many people recommend Brandon Sanderson to me! I have a couple of his books on my Kindle, but can't start them yet because of my series ban. Don't worry though; he is on the top of my to read list once the series ban is lifted!
@@LuminousLibro Elantris (his debut novel) is a standalone and I loved it. :)
Great stuff, I'm just starting the Farseer Trilogy myself 😊
I'm wondering if you every tried the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik? I always see the Hornblower books on the shelf behind you and this series in like that but instead of tallships, there's dragons. I've read the first 3 and really enjoyed them
I haven't tried that series yet. Sounds amazing! Thanks for the rec!
Intrigued by that New Policeman Trilogy!
I remember being disappointed in Entwined when I read it but all the things you mentioned are how I felt about Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier!----oh, update: you just mentioned it! lol
oooh hard to narrow it down but Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik and The Real Boy by Anne Ursu are definitely up there!
I hear a lot of good things about Spinning Silver! Should I read Uprooted first though?
I have the Real Boy on my library list. The cover looks really interesting.
My favorite fantasy saga is definitely A song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. Have you read it? I'm sure you would like it, especially the relationship between Brienne of Tarth and Ser Jaimie Lannister :D. You should give it a go !
I'm not sure that I would enjoy it. I've heard that it's very violent and graphic. Not my cup of tea.
