Thats actually not true. I can tell you this with 100% certainly because I manage a Freindlys in upstate NY. However, A few years back this was very close to happening. We filed for bankruptcy in 2011 and went from over 500 restaurants to less than 100. since then have revamped our restaurants and menus with much success. My restaurant will actaully be getting a complete remodel and drive thru by the end of the year. So don't worry everybody, were not going anywhere!! :)

Bad news, my mother just told me that all Friendly's restaurants are closing. But their ice cream containers in supermarkets will be retained.
