I have been wondering whether I should get this kit or not, but you most certainly helped me decide to get it. Very nicely built, I will be sticking around this channel.
Well you made your excuse for not filming the rigging part, you’re forgiven! I’d freeze’d it so that I could put a closer look to it...outstanding job and of course I’ll admire your patience. Thank you again for sharing this beautiful video with me 👍👍👏
That is some fantastic work there, I'm just starting to build my own 1915 version of the same kit. However, there is one thing I can't figure out for the life of me...how the hell do I glue in the '1/700 SCALE HMS DREADNOUGHT 1915' plaque onto the stand without the plaque interfering with the lower hull? It's irritating me no end.
@@KumaModels I guess I'll have to find a way to extend it from the stand, then. Also, I've just found that the first photo-etch parts for the interior of each the funnels appears to be printed wrong: the right-angle parts are on the outer rim of the oval, not the inside where they should be. How did you construct the PE for the funnels on your model?
@@Mr_Bunk I didn't really notice this issue when I was making mine. I just attached it based on how it looked like in the manual. Maybe it's an issue in the 1915 version and not the 1907?
It is the HP Models HMS Eagle but it is a waterline model if you want a full hull then you’ll have to scratch build the lower hull of you can go with the waterline hull and make a diorama
Thank you very much! For the rigging I just used the 3D model from World of Warships. I'm not sure if it's 100% accurate but for me it's good enough! sketchfab.com/3d-models/dreadnought-5b1d62fc047d423daf6629422708bfc5

It wasn't revolutionary but evolutionary, multiple navies came to same conclusion indepenently and Italians were probably the first on it. Americans designed a more advanced ship in terms of layout earlier (the South Carolina class with superfiring turrets centerline) and japanese with Satsuma which didn't get it's all big guns due to shortage.
@@KumaModels British were first to build it due to influence the admirality held and their shipbuilding capability which allowed them to finish the ship in record time. American ship construction was held up by politicians but even tough the ship was built later it was also revolutionary in it's layout. Japanese realised they don't have enough 12 inch guns to put 12 of them per ship and had to settle for mixed battery. If Japanese had proper ammount of guns Satsuma would have been the first all big gun ship.
Too bad such a beautiful model is ruined by a major misplacement of anchors! Always study photographs and history when building ships, that's half of the fun.
Love Heart of Oak at the end.
A beautiful model with lots of details thanks for posting ! Regards Gav.
Thank you Gav!
I just bought this kit as my first ship kit. Great vid! Very useful. Thanks.

First of it's class, buying myself this one for xmas. :-)
Good luck with your build!

Great job. I have a question. What thickness of rigging did you use? And did you dilute the black wash before applying it?
I have been looking for them for a ship that I have for scale
The reason why there is no walls in there is because you bought the 1907 version the walls are in the 1914 version
Oh I see, thank you very much!

Awesome job what did you use for the streak marks? and the deck
I used tamiya panel liner. They have it in different colors such as black and dark brown.
Beautiful
Thank you very much!
Anyone know were I can find a model of HMS eagle(1942) everywhere I look doesn't have one

Hi, I am working on the same ship and got a trouble with rigging… would you like to share the blueprint for this ship?
Hello, I used a 3D model from World of Warships when I was doing the rigging. I’m can’t seem to find the site anymore where I got it.
Which brown and grey (?) washes did you use and what did you use for the rust streaks
I used Tamiya Panel Line Accent color for the black and brown wash. For The rust streaks I also used the same brown wash.
Beautifully built, I also build a Dreadnought but can't find a rigging scheme anywhere, please tell me where I can find it, thank you in advance.

@@KumaModels Thank you for your comment, still remains difficult to see where the wires will be mounted on or to the deck.
where did you buy the railings?
The generic railings are from “Master Tools/Trumpeter”
Item No. 06634 Handrails and Ladders for 1:700 model ships
How did you place the smokestack photo etched parts? They just crumbled for me.
I carefully bent them before glueing them on.

Okay I'll see! I don't really have that much experience with dioramas, maybe I'll experiment with simple stuff first!
btw Kuma Models what is the cheapest model kit under 1,500 pesos? (warship model 1/700)
