I like both. Graphite works for larger areas and i like to get the smallest, darkest areas with charcoal and mix them together. It gives you so much more shades to use. Especially since i'm colorblind and it's hard to shade anything other than b&w.

Bro in real world we don't have outlines and we shouldn't make them thick well it's okay when drawing cartoons or smth but only use lines when nessecery otherwise don't and also don't always shade smooth only shade smoothly where the part is smooth cuz some people also have rough skin texture

"I draw realistically, but there is a way to outline which enhances a drawing. It's all about style, but you have to play with line weight and all of this adds life to it, even if it takes away from the realism. You just have to be intentional with it. I choose charcoal because I don't like flawless drawings. For example, do not copy and paste one side of our face onto the other; it will look uncannily flawless and you will be weirded out by it. Nothing is perfectly symmetrical.
Yes, we do not have to outline; outlining can make you think inside a box that you have to fill inside, and it can make it impossible to escape the 2D world. But how powerful is it to give an outline to just a side, but fading it still to give it its place in the drawing, especially to put focus on one area? However, if it's only for 100% accurate realism, then it's understandable not to use an outline. But it's not always a "no-no"; sometimes, it's not even a question to outline certain parts inside or outside. Check a Proko video on it. Also, check line weight."

I really like both of them, they have their own uses and variety of shades. If we're looking for grey values, then use graphites, if you're looking for pitch black shades, charcoals can do the trick. I combine each of them on a single drawing and it's great

Different different art works ke liye dono zaruri ha. Guys so you can't compare it's. Other dono bohut zarurt ha hyperrealistic drawing ke liye charcoal se apko kam time work complete ho zata ha aur graphite zyada time lagta ha aur so chiz aap graphite se kar sakte ho wo aap charcoal se nahi aur zo chiz charcoal se kar sakte ho graphite se nahi kar sakte .

I love using them both. My best tip is that you should use graphite for arts that don't require you to draw smooth textures like landscapes. Charcoal on the other hand, is best for drawing smooth textures like portrait drawings. If you got the hang of both, use them together for the best result

Drawing, a profound art form, mirrors the complexities of life. Realism seeks to capture the world as it is, while style lets us add our own touch. Outlines, like life's boundaries, can confine and limit our creativity. But should we abandon them completely? Is there a middle ground?
Imagine a rose: meticulously outlining each petal captures its form but might lose its essence. Removing outlines can lead to ambiguity. The key is balance-bold strokes to highlight importance, subtle lines for integration.
Artistic choices reflect our view of reality. Charcoal, with its imperfections, embraces the beauty of life's flaws. In a portrait, precise eye outlines draw us in, while fading lines guide exploration.
Drawing, a reflection of existence, prompts us to question reality's nature. We learn to embrace imperfections and interpret life's intricacies through art. Striking this balance, we infuse our drawings with life, transcending the flat canvas.
Life's dance is found in this delicate interplay. Boundaries and boundlessness coexist. As we draw, we unlock the universe's mysteries and discover our own profound journey.
