Here's a tip from me: When you open your project, FL opens up all your plugins that were used in that project. If you dont want to bother closing them all one by one, simply press F12 and it will close all the open tabs and then you can open your playlist and mixer back. This saves a lot of time and sometimes hardware too
@@darksentinel082 dude you just gave me mad flashbacks to the free version days... I once spent 6 months on a track without closing it just for my PC to crash. Then when I finally purchased FL I realised it didn't matter cause not all the plugins usable in the trial come with the ~$600 version of FL (crazy right?) so all those patterns and fx disappeared as soon as I excitedly re-opened my long lost project. Morale of the story; life is pain.
Tip 1: Window Hot Keys 2:07 Tip 2: Make Unique 2:44 Tip 3: Routing Mixer Channels 3:37 Tip 4: Moving Channels Around the Mixer 4:07 Tip 5: Changing a Tempo of a Sample 4:28 Tip 6: Notch/Peak EQ 5:08 Tip 7: Order of FX 5:47 Tip 8: CTRL + B 6:43 Tip 9: Channel Rack Organization 7:06 Tip 10: Have Fun and Girth it up! Also turn off Limiter on Master 7:45
RaDiation YT remove the limiter and add it back when you are done with the track (for mastering) Also, another tip, make sure that in the mixer, your volume never gets so loud it fills up that red part cuz that’s gonna make it sound like ass
2:58 What if I select your entire song.... **then press make unique...** Then I have just made a unique song? Sweet that's music production in the bag.
Another tip: Want to copy an effect to another mixer track but not go through loading it up again and making the same changes again? Click the down arrow on it, go to "Save preset as..." CLICK AND HOLD Now drag to a new mixer track and let go. Boom. Copy of the effect should load in.
A few tips that you mentioned (and might not know) is - Hold shift when using the blade tool to make it perfectly vertical instead of a bunch of cuts all over the place - hold shift and scroll while hovering over tracks to move them instead of constantly right clicking and selecting move - hold shift while moving an automation point to stop it from moving up and down, same with ctrl and horizontal - when right clicking you can use hotkeys like C to copy, to save time instead of having to click it every time - You can select multiple mixer tracks by pressing shift + ctrl
Ok I feel so dumb now. I always used the make unique as a sample feature and complained I had to pick a place to save it everytime without slowing down for a moment and spotting the "Make unique" option in literally the same menu. This is why you should watch every kind of videos you can find even if they are the basic ones lol Thanks Nate 😂
As an advanced user, these were definitely a great reminder to some of the core functions within FL. I ended up sticking around and joined the Dicsord, SUPER cool community. Big ups!
Bonus tip for the bonus tip: When opening a new project go to "new from template > change default template" and in the bottom right in the window at "default template" set it to "minimal > basic" and never deal with this limiter in the first place!
I also wanna add something to this, you could create your own template with volume automations and add something to the master by cloning some default template windows folder, renaming it and then paste your own template in the folder
You might know this already! But at 4:12 there is an alternate way of doing this that's faster (in my opinion). You can simply highlight the mixer track and hold the shift key while using the scroll wheel on your mouse to move mixer tracks around. Saves me a lot of time
i love you bro the 2nd tip was exactly what i was looking for and i heard you like "oh no it altered that one too" and i was like bro im having that issue????!!!! and i almost started crying cause i knew you were about to save me
Your channel is super sick, has been since day 1. And I feel wicked educated after watching your vids. When you turned a burp into sweet sweet music for a sad sad world.. mind blown
Holding down shift and using the mousewheel while hovering over an effect in the effect chain will allow you to change the order of effects without creating a whole new instance of the effect. This also works in the mixer and playlist.
this video was very helpful for me since I started making beat a couple of months ago even though I know some of this stuff already others I did not know thanks for the help my guy
Oh my god the make unique tip saved my life, ive been producing for like 3 years but haven't improved much and am still very much a beginner this really helped me
I thought I knew FL pretty well but professor totally opened up a whole new world of efficiency for me. No wonder he was top in his class every single year. Thanks teach
In the browser view, open the sample in Edison and then detect pitch regions, then set the root note of the sample to what ever it's pitch is. Perfect pitch sampling.
Quick tip... If you do Ctrl + L it will put the sample in that in the mixer channel without you having to click the channel and route it. I hope that helps everybody Happy Producing
3:45 Or use patcher to put infinite FX's, you can alsoopen patchers on the patcher 6:47 You don't need to ctrl +c, you just need to select and ctrl + b
You should do a tutorial about what you put on your master. I feel like everyone on FL on RUclips is just dumb and you’re the only one I trust about mastering tracks.
For fruity love philter (possibly wave shaper too) disable oversampling in the plug-in if you have issues with phasing when turning the main plug-in knob
Another tip : If you want to consolidate an audio or a synth or whatever just select the bit you want and press Alt+CTRL+C it will render it as a wav this one changed my life
Quite helpful video, make some more of these pls, for example like how to record sounds and mix them into fl studio, or like when to use reverbe or stuff like that so you dont ruin the work you did :D
yo bro
for ctrl + b you don't need to ctrl + c
you just gotta select it
and to this day i'm still learning shit
