@@Yrnvolt The sellers of the cf hoods recommend hood pins so they don’t go flying on you when your driving and Iv seen it happen to many people but Iv also seen that some g35 don’t use the hood pins so really it’s up to you whether you want the hood to be extra secure or just have the factory hood latch.
Iv seen people run the hood without the hood pins but it is recommended to have them so that the hood is extra secure and it doesn’t fly off on the highway.
@6:54 there’s a time lapse that doesn’t show how you got the studs the go into the hood and hinge but that’s what I’m trying to find out. I got a hood given to me when I bought my 06 g35 coupe manual and I want to put it on but the studs that are on the hood that’s on my car now look like they’re not coming out (I don’t thing they do?) and the new hood doesn’t have any studs in it at all. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say here lmao
Yeah I understand what your saying. Some hoods have the studs already in them like the OEM hood, in that case you just need a nut to mount the hood. If the hood doesn’t have studs, then most likely you would need bolts to screw in the mounting holes that the hood has.
I got a waterproof air filter cover for the intake filter and that’s all. I haven’t had any problems with the rain getting in the bay. Iv even driven it several times while raining and no problems so far.
@@Yari_vq thanks bro I have one of those covers already but I’ve been debating the hood for a long time now just cuz of the rain factor but thanks for the reply!
Super insightful
Good ideal with the toothpaste
Would water mess up the electrical because of the vents ?
So far I haven’t had any issues. I’ve driven it in the rain several times

Hey man quick question. Do you need hood pins or is it a preference?
Would I be able to get a cf hood and run it without hoodpins?

Did the glue and tape hold up bro? Clean build btw!
Yes it has held up pretty well so far. No peeling or anything and thank you I appreciate it.
can we paint the seibon c-style trunk even if it is carbon?
Yes you should be able to paint it. It would just need to be sanded down and then primer and painted.
Don't drive in the rain
do you have to put on the hood pins or clips on?

Fly1 don't provide the mesh?
No they don’t.
@@Yari_vq oh wow that's crazy how long have you had your hood on for??? Did it come clear coated?
@@abelgomez9863 Iv had it on for 4 months now and yes it came clear coated. I just made sure to ceramic coat it to protect that clear.
