I agree. It can get a bit expensive (products and labor time). I do design my own lips, kits, and spoilers, so copying other manufacturer's products to resell is unethical for me. So I'd have a hood mould just sitting around my shop. Also, I still would've had to do all the bodywork shown in the video to get a clean and perfect part to mould.
I have several more videos following this hood that goes into deep details. I meant to put those out first, but plans changed. These videos include how to lay resin, types of resin, how to match up the weave, laying more than one carbon fiber sheet, etc.
Hey what did you use over that fiberglass to smooth it out just regular body filler or Bondo glass. Will plastic filler work? Lmk thank you

Almost easier to make a mould and make a new hood entirely.
