“Make It Louder” (2020) recalls the life-changing experience of a young man named Ryan, who jumps at any opportunity to grow his freelance DJ business. In a moment of excitement and fear of letting a client down, he accepts his first gig - only to suffer irreversible hearing impairment. This film highlights the many risks and potential underlying injuries of freelance workers in our community. In times of haste or peer pressure, it is imperative that we take care of our physical and mental health.

Aren't freelancers legally separated from employee benefits and rights as they are independent contractors? Just a minor note, but I don't believe independent contractors are covered by WorkSafeBC - so the whole factual structure behind this video is a tad incorrect and misrepresentative of the WorkSafe Brand.
