Yes, GoPro Mini has no screen so I use phone app. 5.3K and stabilization make it a great combination when walking (better than phone). It is lighter than my iPhone max so I can also comfortably use long selfie stick with 1/4 in thread. Good luck!
When you put the Octo Mount onto the Osmo Mobile 6, does it grip it really well ? I bought the Osmo Mobile 6 to stream while running so currently just using my phone. But want to use a GoPro. Just hoping that it feels stable enough for Running and Biking.
I do not suggest running or biking with OM6. GoPro is a good action camera with good stabilization. OM6 is good for walking and panning or for Motion-Timelapse video.

You may need USB-C cable and external power bank (like GoPro Volta) for more power to better operate the Gimbal motors.

Shoot! Maybe too much weight or not balanced. It does take practice to keep it stable. This is not an action gimbal. Example: I use it for 5.3k Custom Motion hyperlapse on tripod.

Unfortunately, no. GoPro uses Quik app and Gimbal uses DJI Mimo app.

Only GroPro Mini works with this gimbal, for regular GoPro you need the larger gimbals.

Mini is more compact and better balanced. I think that is why it worked. Hero 5 Session will likely work. Tracking is for phones with Mimo app.
