The British speakers only commented on world war memorial, and not anything else. But hey, that's a start. We need to keep up the work and press on the other important points, especially to get them to cut ties with (anti-) Indian left.
Not true. The senior most MP from the ruling party was Tersea Villiers (sitting on my extreme left). She supported the Soft Power Reparations idea. After the lecture, we briefly discussed a follow up. Now there is a move to form Infinity Foundation Britain whose main goal would be to partner with a suitable British organization and move this forward. I have decades of corporate experience in creating very large strategic alliances between big enterprises, initiatives with long term impact. So I know how such a process must start delicately and win over more and more support. Most persons with "opinions" have no such experience and nor are they seriously invested in such movements on a long term basis. They have neither expertise, nor "skin in the game" so to speak. In fact, they are mostly a nuisance to those of us doing the hard work. Help us by making commitments for concrete work as per our plans. We need that badly. Time is short. Thanks.
Rajiv Malhotra Official This Rajivji is truly wonderful news and I stand corrected.Certainly, a tectonic shift from the old ways of only looking India from an exotic and emotional point of view. This alliance would boost the Indo-British friendship as well as establish an authentic grand narrative of India.I urge all like minded people to take up the initiative and share this video to important forums and generously donate for the noble cause.Cheerleading from a distance won't cut the ice.
This is time to awake and unite to hindu to save our culture history and our country as well as and now rss and bjp modi is only hope and option. Plz dont divide the name of state language and caste also.
@@chetansharma3699 looks like they are not the real hope we were looking far.. being an intellectual like mr. Malhotra and sharing this soft power historical knowledge with our society is the only way to awake the nation. We should not wait for some politician rather take a stand and do it on our own.
Rajivji is not just an intellectual, he is a karmavir, just like Modiji. People who don't just have original ideas, but who work tirelessly in pursuit of their fruition while sublimating their own ego in the task and not expecting something selfish in return.
Soft power reparations: another original idea, another step forwards in the debate about the colonial legacy and Hindu self-assertion ("decolonization"), path-breaking.
I am a great fan of Maharishi Rajiv Malhotra. My humble bow at his feet as a great wise grandfatherly figure. I have huge respect for his wisdom, love for truth and courage to say truth the way it is.
Here is my critique of the video. 1.)Modi 's victory was not a groundswell nor does he represent the voice of even 50% of Indians. He managed to get majority of seats by only maneuvering 31% of the total votes casted. So the 'voice' about which you are talking is less than 31% because not all people voted Modi for same reason. It may be noteworthy to hear what Arun Shourie has recently correctly pointed out that Abraham Lincoln had said you can't fool all the people all the time, but the BJP guys know that it is not necessary. One only has to fool 30% of people for some time. 2.)There was NO ultra liberal in India in prominence which you assert has been thrown out.If you are tacitly implying that Congress or it's allies were liberal, then you are grossly mistaken.Congress is a party of socialists and they had nothing to do with liberalism at all. 3.)Modi didn't win for his grand narrative of Hinduism or for cultural advocacy but for the promise of employment and anti incumbency wave due to Congress's corruption.BJP lost Bihar election precisely due to their explicit and strenuously emphasized Hindutva campaign on issues of Gau Raksha, Ghar Wapsi, Ram Mandir and Pakistan. 4.)The cause of 'culture' that you are championing in the video is essence of liberalism which you snubbed in the very beginning. You may refer to F A Hayek, arguably the most important stalwart liberal of 20th Century, who argued in favor of 'culture' as something which evolves much similar like Darwinian Natural selection which is never designed by anyone(It's culture which creates mind and not the other way round as per him) and which is essential for safeguarding any civilization. 5.)Secularism simply means State having no religion and not that people be irreligious.Your critique essentially is that because secularism has been asymmetrical, instead of correcting it we need to abandon it altogether and create a cultural hegemony of a special group. All this rests on only one argument which is, "Oh look China is doing this." Your problem seems not that secularism is asymmetrical but rather why it isn't asymmetrical in your favor. 6.)Your advocacy for Britain to help India in creating a cultural hegemony and grand narrative presents a royal hypocrisy when one listens to you sharply condemning 'outsiders' engaging in eliminating cultural oppression in India. You basically don't want others to engage in Human rights issues or other activities which concern oppression because we are a sovereign, free ad infinitum country but you would like them to help in inculcating in India what you think is best for the country. So viewers should know that you're not principally against foreign intervention in India. You are against it only when it doesn't suit your agenda. 7.)Your sarcasm ridiculing how textbooks still teach Muslim rule was a shining period in Indian history is itself contradicted by the study of Angus Madison which you take as a basis for saying that India had 25% of world GDP in 18th century. If you study the book from where this figure comes, you will find(If you don't know it already), that you are cherry picking figures and the study's figures of GDP of India under Muslim rule of over 800 years will very easily screw your sarcasm. If you don't know this you are an ignorant man(not intellectual) and if you know this and still assert what you assert then you are a dishonest and cunning person.Choose your bit. 8.)Kautilya WASN'T an economist nor was his book Arthashasta a book of economics. 9.)That ancient Indians did good work in many fields is a fact.If you restrict yourself to arguing that such heritage of Indians should be better represented in our curriculum, you are well justified. But it's not at all a justification of creating a grand narrative or of establishing cultural hegemony.Afterall, Einstein didn't produce his General Theory of Relativity because of any grand narrative or even due to a sense of identity nor did many other great minds. It's highly likely that the video is full of much more irrationality but I didn't have the capacity to watch such torrent of errant nonsense and so I spared myself before half time of the video.
Keshav Bedi - LOL. You have an extremely shallow understanding of even the western perspectives you are championing, so no hope for you to 'get' the dharmic / Indian grand narrative perspective. As you are not capable of processing even half of the video accurately, his books will be a too much for you. But if you can, read his books, esp. Breaking India and Being Different, with an open (i.e. not as a westernized coolie) mindset and come back to comment when you can think like an adult. In case you have already read them and still commenting as above, then I am sorry for your lack of comprehension & comprehension skills.
1) Modi got 31% votes because it was a multi cornered fight and the BJP contested only on 396 out of 543 seats. Wait for one more year and just see where the percentage goes. 2) The congress is not a party about socialism but only about opportunism. It has played as a capitalist, a socialist, a radicalist, a rationalist all at the same time as it suits it. Rajiv Malhotra is pointing to the academia and intellectuals who have been nurtured by the Congress as proxies and try to present the Congress as the voice of liberalism in India. When the only major opponent is targeted and branded as Fascist and Conservative by using the asymmetric control over media and intellectuals, its but natural that the Congress and its likes emerge as liberals to the outside world. 3) There was not only one factor which led to Modi's victory. But there is no denial of the fact that the galvanization of suppressed majority votes did play a role in many cases. And most importantly this lecture has been delivered in March 2018 and not in May 2014. Please have some idea of context before jumping to conclusions. There have been many other elections since 2014... most importantly in states like UP, Assam etc which could not have been won without such a consolidation of majority votes. Tripura being a very recent example. Moreover the speaker has tried to show a general trend in the world with the increasing popularity of Modi, Abe and their likes in the world. That in itself proves that the time for political correctness is about to end. As far as Bihar is concerned, I don't even want to make any comment as you are totally cut off from reality of how elections take place in India. 4) Since you are advocating for Liberalism as the saviour of culture, there is no point in even replying to this. If one starts to prepare a list of the cultures that have been destroyed in the name of liberalism, the list will be too long. 5) You have got a habit of putting your pre-concieved notions into your writings. Where did the speaker advocate for hegemony of one community or culture. He has only advocated mutual respect in place of tolerance. If a mosque or a church has freedom to administer itself, a Hindu temple should also have the same right. Did he advocate to withdraw such rights from the minority institutions?? No. 6) You should at least read the books of the speaker before criticising him based on your delusions. He is not advocating intervention. He is only seeking their active role in destroying a Frankenstein in the name of Aryan Theory, which was created by the Germans. You need to read the Book Breaking India to understand how such divisive theories have caused conflicts in India, Sri Lanka and Rwanda to name a few. He is simply giving them a choice, help us in doing away with this monster or we will do it ourselves some day. Its only because of sepoys like you who only believe foreigners, that he is seeking their help. 7) You have not read all the facts put forth by Angus Madison it seems. He has put the GDP figures since 1 AD. and not only 800 years. The GDP contribution of India was highest in 1st AD too, it didn't grow due to the Mughals. And the fact that in 1750 AD India's GDP was 25% of world GDP, is a testimony to our resilience as a nation and civilization that despite 800 years of disturbance and foreign rule in many regions the economy sustained it. It's the British who destroyed it. 8) It's better not to comment on it. There is a statue breaking competition going on in India these days. Please go and demolish the Kautilya statue in NADT,Nagpur if he was not an economist. 9) Einstein didn't produce Theory of Relativity. He just discovered it. Similarly, Newton did't produce the Laws of Gravitation. He was the first to discover it in England. Enjoy your ignorance. That's what Sepoys did actually, fired upon their brethren in their ignorance.
This is called taming the elephant and riding it to destroy the enemy's gates. This is just the beginning. Also, just saw the demolition of Lenin's statue in Tripura today after BJP won the elections. What a time to be alive!
Sunita UD Singh Well then you supporting hooliganism...We need to disguise ourselves as termites..we need to eat this ultra left liberal ideology from inside out..in that way they will be most vulnerable...else we will lose the much needed support...
This is an engaging address at the British Parliament. I listened to the whole event. Years of dealing with hostile audience in the US and India has helped Rajiv Malhotra to hone his debating skills without even one iota of anger, hatred and belligerence. His impact will be felt long after his time. But I am happy that he is getting to see the recognition he worked so hard to earn. -- By Kollengode S Venkataraman
About 'Aryan': Aryan is not a race at all per the Vedic scriptures. An Arya or Aryan is one who strives to live per the Vedic dharma, which is universal religion for mankind, and it is the oldest. Additionally, the Vedic dharma does not say any one race is superior than any other race or skin color, or nationality. All the prayers in the Vedic scriptures are universal.jaya sri Krishna!
Aryan is not a word. It is a concoction of German indologists. Arya means noble and means those who follow dharma, like for instance, Harishchandra, who lived and died for truth even at his own expense. Those who follow the path of dharma are called as arya. As a civilization, Hindus were followers of dharma and so we self referentially refer to ourselves as Aryas. Following dharma in life requires courage, and those who have the courage to follow dharma at all times, especially when it is most inconvenient, are Aryas.
In entire Vedic scriptures there is no mention of the word "Aryan". Yes, there is mentioned of the word "Arya". The word Arya only means learned discipline human being. Jai Shree Krishna!
@ F!zz It was varna back in the day. There is no evidence whatsoever was birth based. It evolved into the caste system over 1000+ years as a social problem. The word caste is not even Indian.
I m born hindu - brahmin. My mother had obsession of puja and fasting. I remember there was a time when she would fast 5 days in 7 days I guess. But she never forced her style on us when we were young... Her main diety being Durga I remember. My sister and I would worship Shiva (more). Now we all are married and my in laws are Tamil having totally different way to puja and rituals. My sisters family worship Krishna... we all follow and practise our religion to our our own ways and capacity.... Without imposing any compulsion to anyone amongst each other. Yet I am here following this channel.
This is phenomenal and a step change "illegally occupied by Pakistan" Gilgit! This I am sure is the long term soft persuasion of India to finally say the truth in the last 3-4 years of ramped up foreign policy. What a great start to Rajivji's talk
Really that was the sentence that brought me hope that the world view is changing. It actually had my eyes opened wide. And no doubt Rajivji would bring new insight to listeners.
You got to respect one thing. It takes a lot of courage on the British side to host this event as well. I kind of feel nowadays, they are much more open to hearing things than Indians. Good to see such a video. Way more impactful in long term than Tharoor's speech
To me the brits look like smug and contented after they have almost completely destroyed Bharatiya Sanskruti, Uprooted it, and left it for the few locals like Rajivji , to start from scratch. I would not discount slyness .One has to remain Positive, however.
sanch Sanchayan Just one request .. Always be wary of them . . they never do anything on equal measures; only vested interests or compulsions drive them. . we must not repeat the mistakes we made in past . .
The British are quick in understanding that to stay relevant in the future world developments, they should tow the changed Indian line. Rajiv ji brilliantly puts forward the loss the Brits will have if they choose the perilous old path. The setting is so strange and new. A single Indian instructing their former master on how to behave. wow. The choice of terms like soft power reparations are British centred and a genuine reach by Indians. Whoever sits on the throne there, they should change their mind totally.
Rajiv ji has time and again said about mutual respect in his discussion but you despite that bring the term Former master. Remember former master are no more. The British that were sitting there has nothing to do with what their ancestors had done to India. So no need to take pride in that.

Keshav Bedi 1)30% vote for modi does not mean 50-80% does not want grand narrarive for india.i am tmc supporter at state level.beacause bjp does not have any ground level org in wb.but support the work of rajivji. most of people does know what is grand narrative, why it is important. the more knows it, the more will support rajivjis work.its not about bjp.its about our civilization.i didnt know rajivji until some of my friend share his page.
An absolutely brilliant talk by Rajivji. His conceptual clarity on reparations in the soft power area is astonishing. Having listened to Shashi Tharoor's talk , who is indeed a good speaker ( notwithstanding his current political alignments) - listening to the view of India's accomplishments & capabilities through Indian eyes as opposed to the centuries old western colonial lens was inspiring as always. But where Rajivji really pushed the envelope was in articulating how - after having been instrumental in reducing India to a state of penury and having contributed to the destruction of its society, Britian could now help India regain her position as one of the major contributors of knowledge in the intellectual sphere by undoing & dismantling all the intellectual edifices and structures like the Aryan Invasion Theory, the supposed backwardness of Indian society in education, industry etc - which still persists in the British universities. In addition an acknowledgement to the people who had really contributed to making the British successful during the colonial era - through war memorials for the Indian soldiers who fought for the British , & the Allies during WWI and WWII - is absolutely brllliant. AS Rajivji correctly stated in the modern era there is no time or room for age old animosities or bitterness but there are immense possibilities in moving forward together with mutual respect, after duly recognizing the past and laying it to rest and moving on to a shared future built with possibilities. Having followed Rajivji for more than two decades from 1997 I have to say that his own personal evolution as a thinker and leader in the area of Indic studies is an inspiration by itself.
Agree on rajiv ji's views regarding soft power, but reperations, that too by asking them(Brits) to do so isn't going to help the pride of our people. There is history between us and history that's not in our favour. USA can be considered, Japan, Israel are good options, but not UK. Our syamantak mani still adourns their crown, not till we win it back.
A different perspective would be to have those who built the colonial and exploitative constructs, in the process deeply wounding and maligning India, commit themselves to participating in the tearing down of those very constructs that they helped create and then do the opposite - help in spreading the very real contributions of India to various fields of human endeavour. While the Syamantak Mani is a symbol of this oppression - it is just a small one in the massive loot carted away from India over the last millennia! In due course as India prospers economically and grows as a society - it can also be brought back through legitimate means!
I would like to thank Rajivji for this discussion. I did not feel a sense of seriousness or urgency in the Brits, that this issue deserves, but the video in itself may not reveal the complete truth. I would like to point out a few things that I disagree: # For the first time in my life, thanks to Shashi Tharoor, I have come to know the depth of damage the British has done to India and read about the research of India's GDP since 0 AD to 1750 AD. I have seen what happened to my grand parents and great grand parents and how they lived, suffered and died. They were very well educated yet they lived poor and died poor. They were very kind and generous people and I never understood why they deserved that kind of life. Its only after reading Shashi Tharoor's book that I realized what had happened to the country. So I think its very important for Indians to actually soak in the depth of damage done to the country by these Brits. I think in this case, the sense of outrage is actually important as many Indians have no clue of their own history. This sense of outrage should be used productively to ensure that the real history be taught in their schools and not sugarcoated. And more importantly it should be taught in our own schools. But I feel that we are barely getting to know our history and we are already in a rush to scrub the culpability of these Brits! # Let us not rush to distribute blame equally on the British and the Indians (Sepoys) for the current state of affairs. In any society, there will always be some section who are disgruntled and this applies even in the western societies. But its the people who actively prey on this disgruntled section of a society by dangling the carrot of money that is the real problem. This is what the western media has been doing for decades. They encourage ONLY this disgruntled section to write articles, produce movies etc intentionally for trying to project an entire culture in a negative light. If we go this route and give them a ready made excuse, they will make a token gesture and put the same in their textbooks saying that the Indians are equally or more responsible as the British for the state of affairs in India. Only they won't say it openly but they will do that subtly. To give an example, I was recently reading a book by an American author on India and I could already see the massive sugarcoating of the British empire (supposedly "Greatest empire on Earth") and how he was trying to portray the Indians as backward, uneducated and fighting between themselves and thus needed to be governed by the Brits. You can see him reverse the sequence of events and you can already see the rush to sanitize history. There are books by the Brits as well to the same effect as they foresaw that Indians will wake up to the truth sooner or later and thus its better to start sanitizing history preemptively. # If we look at the actual Indian sepoys under Dyer, while its true they were "Indians" but in reality they were Pushtun, Gurkha, Sindh and Pathan regiments, as in they would use regiments from one part of the subcontinent in another part. And also while Its true they opened fire killing the people at Jallianwala Bagh, we also need to understand what these Sepoys faced for insubordination. Lets not forget that mutinous soldiers were jailed, executed, hanged and blown to bits by cannons before. So these sepoys were in reality forced to do their job or face severe consequences. We need to take that aspect into consideration. Finally I will say this, that while its very important to move forward through a forward looking, constructive dialogue, its important for Indians to actually look back at our history, take the time to allow the depth of damage during the British Raj to sink in. I firmly believe that in terms of reparations, the Indians should demand the Brits return back all the jewels, thrones, statues that were in a real sense, stolen. They should also ensure that the truth of the British Raj in India, be taught to British children. That should do that at the very minimum we should expect the Brits to do. Thank you.
It's news that kohinoor is actually , THE REAL SYAMANTAK MANI !! All the more reason for IT also to be back where IT BELONGS. The dark shadows over England would also dissolve and it will really be a level field play to Achieve Victory For ALL . A Real "VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM" can Hopefully Result . Hearty hearty Congratulations to Our IK MAHARATHI , ARJUNA, RAJIVJI .
Rajiv's punchline " Mutual Respect " brutally sums it up all. Because that's what the countries & nations, where Abrahamic religions have ruled, did not (and still do not) have, vis-a-vis Sanatana Dharma-based belief systems. Great talk!
F!zZ Sashi asked for a token 1 pound reparation with an apology. Rajiv ji’s proposal is so much more well thought out and impactful. Further from the way Rajiv ji speaks it is clear he cares about this, Sashi Tharoor while eloquent does not come across as sincere.
G M Shashi was there for fame and show , with the research of probably his support staff and so. Just a famous face that knows how to speak pompously well.
It appears after a long long pause Bharatiya Kshyatriya voice has spoken. It was spoken so well with crystal clear clarity that it paves the way for the future. Bravo. Let Bharat Mata get such more voices to speak out in the world stage.

Just, try to understand what amount of enamarous deep knowledge and wisdom Shri Rajiv Sir have... I think he is one the best person to get Bharat Ratan.
No reparations from the UK working classes' taxes. They never colonised and exploited anyone. Ask the UK queen for the Kohinoor back. Ask the colonial rulers' offspring and descendants, Sir this and Lady that, for the money back, if they have not stashed it away in some offshore account.
I do hope Infinity Foundation soon has a presence in UK. It will give a far broader Hindu perspective than we have at the minute via organisations such as the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies
It may be relevant to quote what Rajiv wrote in reply to another poster: "The senior most MP from the ruling party was Tersea Villiers (sitting on my extreme left). She supported the Soft Power Reparations idea. After the lecture, we briefly discussed a follow up. Now there is a move to form Infinity Foundation Britain whose main goal would be to partner with a suitable British organization and move this forward."
I've been to the National War Memorial in Birmingham at beginning of this year and was utterly disappointed to see that there is a Sikh memorial but nothing for Indian soldiers - knowing that my forefathers faught for the British yet absolutely no recognition! Astonished that the GOI has not made any attempts to remedy this. Thank you Rajivji 🙏
I agree. It's kind of pathetic that hindus are content with piggy backing on sikh recognition. I think hindus should start asserting. I got nothing against sikh brothers, but one can clearly see they are working everywhere in the west for their own welfare. There is no reason why hindus shouldn't do that.
I totally agree that Hindus cannot piggy back on our Sikh brothers. We spoke to one of the curators of the Memorial and he said that if the Hindus make a proposal to fund the memorial then they would be happy to go ahead with a memorial for the Indians. Sadly I don't see Hindu leaders doing anything - too busy with temple/ cultural organisational politics! Despite being a well off community we are too selfish to think beyond our families!!
Poonam Sharma, expecting neru-ghandi-khanian sarkar(GOI) !!??!! would have only led to more heart-breaks & Depression for Bharat. Their motives were never to remedy anything ....Period... have proven to be Rob, Rob and Rob from motilal(fake name) to robert vadra . Modi sarkar, is attacked by internal enemies(Congi and allies from all sides). RM has set the ball rolling . Let's pray and Hope for the Best .
Ananth Sethuraman I don't see any distinction myself but the Sikhs have clearly given their numbers only and did not include other Bharatiyas. Sad that they wish to project themselves as separate but that's another Breaking India story!
What a great presentation! How scientific! How daring! How honest! How timely! How practical! How dedicated! India's wounds are given a healing touch in the British parliament. Great salutes to you sir, Rajeev Malhothraji.
Another outstanding speech, must watch for all proud Indians, for those who are already following RM, spread and use “ Soft Power Reparations” RajivJis newly coined term perfectly conforms to the need.🙏🙏
Shri Rajiv Malhotra is THE Man for India as i have seen today, who doesn't have any pressure of the government or the people or any organizations etc etc.. and who speaks his mind with ultra clarity and genuine original thoughts and with utmost Truth/Dharma and very very practical solutions to the most severe issues that we have today, and based on as i could witness here... No words to express on him and his sound mind and the thought process in the making of this Man!! Thanks a billion for this event... !!
I'm really amazed to see Rajivji speaking in such a truthful and charismatic manner. Now I'm feeling a great impact of his words on my mind. Really great👏👏👏👏
A clinical lecture by Rajiv Malhotraji. His ability to speak the truth as he sees it while at the same time making inroads into minds that are not necessarily like-minded (as he likes to put it) is remarkable. Saying that Europe was invaded by Christianity inside the British Parliament is no joke, this hits at the one of the roots of the "white saviour complex".
Fantastic talk. Not asking for apologies, not asking for reparations, asking to help India re-construct the Indian Grand Narrative. Superb. Genius. (And yes: the AIT has to go. It's a thorn in the side of truth and Indian history cannot be set right without getting rid of the AIT AND the mentality that it nurtures.)
It is not that easy to put across in British Parliamentarians the changed Indian foreign policies and made the MPs to speak our language. Beautifully put across in such a short time in that many words. That speaks volumes. Hats off to Mr Rajiv Malhotra ji. Would love to attend more such lectures by him. Thanks for inviting me for attending such a illustrious lecture
Every talk by Rajivji is special with original ideas. This one is special being in the land of colonial masters. He has put forth his thoughts straight and workable suggestions . Always upholds the value of Hindus with substance without any emotional attachments. We are blessed to have such a great personality.
For how much time people like rajiv sir would be fighting for us, Don't make mistakes what our parent did.... Wake up and start sending your upcoming generation to GURUKUL, so that one can learn there VEDA & GEETA, Jai shree krishna 🙏
Once again excellent talk by Rajivji. The idea of 'Soft Power Reparation' is super. Rajivji perfectly explains how British people can help India to make the grand narrative of India and to revive Brahmin varna. His suggestion to the British people that how the UK can make strong relationship with India is outstanding. His ideas are perfect for the British and Indian people to make a relationship with an acknowledgement of the past. I hope I do make such an intellectual mind of mine.
Amazing analysis and persuasive presentation. I bow to you, sir. Full of precious insights. Soft Power Reparations is just brilliant, unimaginably brilliant.
This stephen pound is insinuating that Indians stole steel-making from the West! When it was exactly the opposite! I wonder if Rajivji's approach is perfectly tuned on this occasion. When negotiating with Rakshasas, you must not assume that they can stop being Rakshasas. When calling for 'mutual respect' with Rakshasas, you need to have checks and balances and a tight contract and especially increased caution on the Indian side lest trusting Indians open themselves up again, ready to give the respect and giving away concessions in collaborations, and findig that eventually the 'mutual' part of the respect is not forthcoming yet again from the Rakshasa side. This pound guy is just doing exactly what max mueller and the orientalists did- appearing to 'praise' India while actually saying they stole steel from the west, i.e. hiding a false ,toxic narrative in the friendly-sounding words. Saavdhan! Saavdhan!
Dr. Rajiv Malhotra - you are going to be a huge marvel on the history of world. You are like a superman. The way you brought up the fire in world is awesome. Cant stop myself from listening to you more and more. Good wishes !!
This speech is much better than Tharoors'. He calls spade a spade , doesn't shy away from pointing out that many Maharajah and Indians joined hands with the British to rule and kill Indians. He also offers very practical solutions which would actually make a difference going forward. Thank you Rajiv ji.
Rajiv ji talking very straight to British people. This requires Tapasya of a great Rishi. Very inspirational to all the indian to start thinking about India. This video should get 100 times more views then recent devdutt Patnaik's video.
An eye opener that there is a door opening for Britain despite leaving European Community. A new idea - Soft Power Reparations was put forward in the heart of British Democracy, the House of Parliament. I particularly liked how Dharmics can aid conflict between the Abrahamics in Interfaith dialogues - a brilliant discourse.
I still don't believe these guys have any good intention towards India. They are only showing they are with us because they have hit hard times. Once this time passes they will again proudly start sporting the breaking India forces. You can see the expression of the conservative party MP when Rajiv ji started saying about the pre christian Europe. They know if Hindiusm is allowed to take its rightful place all the young people in their countries will become Hindus. As it is they are fed up with their religions and its differences with science.
In the west, both in UK and the North America, the conservatives are far more respectful to India and Hindus than the so called liberals. Liberals hate us and it is them who are eager to give us 'human rights'.
You can't win by fighting alone,we have to build alliances.Yes,there would be differences which is quite natural. We have to figure out a narrative which is win-win for both alies. We can't afford not to engage when such an opportunity arises.Do not be pessimistic about this, this is a great start.Differences can be sorted out
This episode is a necessary challenge to several of the contemporary Indians. We need rise and rise quickly from our stupor and act to support Sri Malhotra.
Awesome Lecture Sir. A good lesson on "How to tell the bitter truths without offending your audiences". :). You are doing great service to Bharath. Regards.
I must say that this man has guts... he is explaining British people inside British parliament with good words how briton looted india.. hats off to Rajeev ji
Brilliant talk by Rajivji!! As always, there's something new to learn and perceive in each one of his talks!! Soft power reparations - totally for it! I'm just stunned that not even ONE Indian politician can articulate what Rajivji has done in this video!! This is how an equal partnership should work!
With every speech of Rajiv Malhotra I get more and more insight to the real glory of India. Similar people have to be the lime light of India's political, bureaucratic and intellectual structure. Him and Swamy deserve more respect and visibility. Respect.
What a brilliant speech! Rajiv-ji, has politely shown the mirror to the British and suggested that they better behave, as we are not going to go away. On top of that, he suggested them that they better look at their own Vedic-like roots. Soft Power Reparations indeed 😇🙂🙃! Brilliant!!! I’m very happy to tell Rajiv-ji through this post that, in late 2017, I asked my Catholic Lawn Up-keeper to look at his own pre-Christian roots in Europe. 🕉🙏🏽🕉
A truly Dharmic Scholar at his finest.... can't help but wonder why Oxford with their long established "Indology and Oriental Studies" faculties and other Academic Hindu "think tanks" (OCHS??) haven't been able to make similar deeply perceptive and constructuve contributions ... isnt this what scholars are supposed to contribute to society? Innovation, creativity and the courage to speak truth to power? Support Rajivji's vision of an Infinity Foundation GB and lets make "Soft Power Reparations" a reality not just for India but for all post-colonial dialogues. Salute Rajivji. Saadar Pranaam.
This will go down in the history of relations between India and Britain as one of the most important day, or may be even turning point. This talk has the potential of being considered as The Historic Talk as regards the relations between the Ex-Colonial Master and the Colonized. The kind of applause you received, the kind of confidence you oozed and the kind of authority you exuded would make any deshbhakta Indian proud. When you hear a White senior Member of Parliament say it was honour to be at his (Rajiv Malhotra’s) feet listenting to what he had to say, it was as if the whole history was being re-written there itself, reminding one of the sculptures you find in Oxford University where our Pandits are shown at the feet of William Jones as if he was their Acharya. You were crisp, clear and confident. You articulated your points very well receiving multiple times applause for your visionary proposals. You hit the nail on the head when you talked about demanding respect in return for respect. Nothing less. And you put it so well that you did not look arrogant or disrespectful. What an art of communication you displayed! You introduced for the first time ever anywhere “Soft Power Reparations”, your own original concept, just like countless number of your original concepts given in last 20 odd years. Your proposal has the potential to re-write the history for both India as well as for Britain, which means to correct the narrative of the “wrong history” that has been taught in both the countries. Rajivji, we are proud of you would be an understatement. But, my vocabulary skills fail me here. I would close by saying that you are going to go down in the history as a Yug-Purush. Thank you for choosing India as your Matrubhumi! Hari Om!
Rajiv Malhotra ji at his best. I follow all your videos sir, and this is a strong case you have presented. We need to institutionalise this narrative. Modi ji needs to do more. Yoga day is good, but lets start with academics at home.
Brilliant speech by Rajivji. I'm astonished at your diplomacy and idea of soft power reparations- great way for GB to stay relevant! I pray that this idea becomes a reality and my humble prathnaas for this endeavor.
Soft power reparation, correction & acknowledging history, dismantling aryan invasion theory, re installing pride in indian, mutual respect instead of tolerance,, decolonization of intelligent fear,, as symmetric implstion of true secularism & contribution of KAUTILYA etc sets my mind to fire. Rajeevji, you are today's Vivekanand.

VIVEK N SHARMA Sharma It was great of him to mention the following 1. Indian soldiers in the World Wars. 2. Mutually benefiting from Soft Power reparations. 3. Getting rid of the Aryan Invasion Theories. And my personal favourite..... 4. Vedic nature of the Celtic and Druidic cultures.

Rajiv jis videos need to reach the masses to have an effect . They are not being shared by people .

Absolutely True....
All this rests on only one argument which is, "Oh look China is doing this."
Your problem seems not that secularism is asymmetrical but rather why it isn't asymmetrical in your favor.
He is Shankaracharya of 21st century.

Steve you are absolutely correct.
In entire Vedic scriptures there is no mention of the word "Aryan". Yes, there is mentioned of the word "Arya". The word Arya only means learned discipline human being. Jai Shree Krishna!
Yet india bred casteism.
@ F!zz
It was varna back in the day.
Way more impactful in long term than Tharoor's speech
sanch Sanchayan this couldn’t have happened without my MP Bob Blackman who does so much work for the Indian community here

Here is my critique of the video.

It is very good to encourage this idea of soft power
Jaya Kumar I agree with your well written review.
I would like to point out a few things that I disagree:
# For the first time in my life, thanks to Shashi Tharoor, I have come to know the depth of damage the British has done to India and read about the research of India's GDP since 0 AD to 1750 AD.
Thank you.
It's news that kohinoor is actually ,
THE REAL SYAMANTAK MANI !!
Rajiv ji is really very nice and hardworking person @only for the Great Nation
We should also fight for India n our historical values ...save Hindu Sanskriti n culture....
I am mind blown by your towering intellect. Long Live.
Rajiv's punchline " Mutual Respect " brutally sums it up all. Because that's what the countries & nations, where Abrahamic religions have ruled, did not (and still do not) have, vis-a-vis Sanatana Dharma-based belief systems. Great talk!
Soft power reparations. WoW, that's brilliant!!
Far far better than stupid idea of Shashi Tharoor's saying "sorry".
Sashi never demanded any financial reparations did he?
F!zZ Sashi asked for a token 1 pound reparation with an apology.
Rajiv ji’s proposal is so much more well thought out and impactful.
Further from the way Rajiv ji speaks it is clear he cares about this, Sashi Tharoor while eloquent does not come across as sincere.
G M Shashi was there for fame and show , with the research of probably his support staff and so. Just a famous face that knows how to speak pompously well.
@@MrALenCar321 yes sashi tharoor ask for
@MrAmsterdamcity1 sashi tharoor was right but instead of 1 pond repration he can ask for soft power reparations idea of rajeev malhotra ji
Guys please trend #SoftPowerReparations
This is like a dream come true! Wow! Rajiv ji is just phenomenal... Hope we see progress soon...
सबसे पहले तो हिंदी सब टायटल के लिए धन्यवाद स्वीकारें. एक बेहतरीन व्याख्यान के लिए ह्रदय से आभारी हूँ.
It appears after a long long pause Bharatiya Kshyatriya voice has spoken. It was spoken so well with crystal clear clarity that it paves the way for the future. Bravo. Let Bharat Mata get such more voices to speak out in the world stage.
Impressive. logical. proud of you Sir.
Arvind Chitale Here is my critique of the video.
2.)There was NO ultra left in India in prominence which you assert has been thrown out.If you are tacitly implying that Congress or it's allies were liberal, then you are grossly mistaken.Congress is a party of socialists and they had nothing to do with liberalism at all.
You may refer to F A Hayek, arguably the most important stalwart liberal of 20th Century, who argued in favor of 'culture' as something which evolves much similar like Darwinian Natural selection which is never designed by anyone(It's mind which creates culture and not the other way round as per him) and which is essential for safeguarding any civilization.
5.)Secularism simply means State having no religion and not that people be irreligious.Your critique essentially is that because secularism has been asymmetrical, instead of correcting it we need to abandon it altogether and create a cultural hegemony of a special group. All this rests on only one argument which is, "Oh look China is doing this."
Your problem seems not that secularism is asymmetrical but rather why it isn't asymmetrical in your favor.
+keshav haha
jali na!! British parliament mein tumhari patloon kholi

Keshav Bedi Traitor
Now that MODI has won for the second time, do you care to change any of those points??
Proud moment for India.
Just, try to understand what amount of enamarous deep knowledge and wisdom Shri Rajiv Sir have... I think he is one the best person to get Bharat Ratan.
Rajiv, i am so happy to see you sit at the parliament and proposing for soft power reparations. Thank you so.much .
No reparations from the UK working classes' taxes. They never colonised and exploited anyone. Ask the UK queen for the Kohinoor back. Ask the colonial rulers' offspring and descendants, Sir this and Lady that, for the money back, if they have not stashed it away in some offshore account.
@@clemalford9768 did you even watch this video he said he we don't need money
I do hope Infinity Foundation soon has a presence in UK. It will give a far broader Hindu perspective than we have at the minute via organisations such as the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies
It may be relevant to quote what Rajiv wrote in reply to another poster:
"The senior most MP from the ruling party was Tersea Villiers (sitting on my extreme left).
I am not sure about this distinction between "Sikh" and "Indian" or between "Sikh" and "Hindu". It seems to be against the spirit of Integral Unity.
Ananth Sethuraman I don't see any distinction myself but the Sikhs have clearly given their numbers only and did not include other Bharatiyas. Sad that they wish to project themselves as separate but that's another Breaking India story!
Great Lecture Sir... India needs great intellectuals like you who do the tapasya.
U make us proud Rajiv ji, simply wonderful
What a great presentation! How scientific! How daring! How honest! How timely! How practical! How dedicated! India's wounds are given a healing touch in the British parliament.
Great salutes to you sir, Rajeev Malhothraji.
This is the Swami Vivekananda moment for all of us. Greatful to Rajiv ji.
Jai Sri Krishna!
Rajivji Great talk! Thank you Sir! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Rajiv sir is a Gem of India.
Support his move of 'Re-Imagine India' from Swardisi point of view.
I feel proud of you sir, I really do
The most dashing n fearless speech from Rajiv ji....#RESPECT
I'm really amazed to see Rajivji speaking in such a truthful and charismatic manner. Now I'm feeling a great impact of his words on my mind. Really great👏👏👏👏
Had been waiting for these lecture.
Beautiful and a strong talk by Rajiv Malhotra. Hats off
Dear Rajiv Malhotra ji,
You are the true Indian fighting a very hard fight lonely. Listening to you tears comes from my eyes. God bless you!
Every ministers in government of India should listen the important message sent from this talk,,and upgrade and reestablishe the priority.
We are blessed to have such a great personality.
this man is pure gold, Rajivji..may you get my life or may I rise to your intelligence and courage
For how much time people like rajiv sir would be fighting for us,
Don't make mistakes what our parent did....
Wake up and start sending your upcoming generation to GURUKUL, so that one can learn there VEDA & GEETA,
Jai shree krishna 🙏
Once again excellent talk by Rajivji. The idea of 'Soft Power Reparation' is super.
Rajivji perfectly explains how British people can help India to make the grand narrative of India and to revive Brahmin varna. His suggestion to the British people that how the UK can make strong relationship with India is outstanding. His ideas are perfect for the British and Indian people to make a relationship with an acknowledgement of the past.
I hope I do make such an intellectual mind of mine.
Rajiv Ji, it is proud moment for whole India.
Thank You...
I will keep supporting you in my best capacity.
The Hindus and the world countries are to be enlightened with Sri Rajiv Malhothra's analysis.
A great mind and a great job.
Amazing analysis and persuasive presentation. I bow to you, sir. Full of precious insights. Soft Power Reparations is just brilliant, unimaginably brilliant.
Rajiv Malhotra Sir, you are rendering a yoman service to India....
Saavdhan! Saavdhan!
Preeti S Hahahahahahaha! ❤️❤️! Brilliant lady!
Dr. Rajiv Malhotra - you are going to be a huge marvel on the history of world. You are like a superman. The way you brought up the fire in world is awesome. Cant stop myself from listening to you more and more. Good wishes !!
Wonderful Sri.Rajiv Malhotra.India is proud of u
Dabendra Singh Dude he himself is a Jew turned Christian what are you sayin
In the west, both in UK and the North America, the conservatives are far more respectful to India and Hindus than the so called liberals. Liberals hate us and it is them who are eager to give us 'human rights'.
I agree arranging Rajivji talk indicate that UK need India help need UK as they are in big trouble due to Brexit👍👍
truthdemon were u this funny since birth or you hit your head somewhere..
Excellent eye opener!!!
Thank you Rajiv Malhorta and the British Parliament!
Monumental Lecture, thank you for the Hindi subtitles.
Honour to have Rajib ji as a great unbiased intelligent writer & moreover as true patriotic indian...thank you sir.....
Respect.
always a pleasure to hear you Rajivji
What an incredible speech. Every Indian should listen the true history of India’s past.
Rajiv bhai really salute u for the hard work dedication to india
What a brilliant speech! Rajiv-ji, has politely shown the mirror to the British and suggested that they better behave, as we are not going to go away. On top of that, he suggested them that they better look at their own Vedic-like roots. Soft Power Reparations indeed 😇🙂🙃! Brilliant!!! I’m very happy to tell Rajiv-ji through this post that, in late 2017, I asked my Catholic Lawn Up-keeper to look at his own pre-Christian roots in Europe. 🕉🙏🏽🕉
Exceptional extempore Rajiv Ji!!
Enlightening lecture Rajiv ji. Exceptional thought clarity. Good timing to appeal the English intelligentsia. Proud of you!
Sharing this video link to as many friends as possible. Bharatmata ki Jai!
This
will go down in the history of relations between India and Britain as one of
the most important day, or may be even turning point.
This
talk has the potential of being considered as The Historic Talk as
regards the relations between the Ex-Colonial Master and the Colonized.
The
kind of applause you received, the kind of confidence you oozed and the kind of
authority you exuded would make any deshbhakta Indian proud.
When
you hear a White senior Member of Parliament say it was honour to be at his
(Rajiv Malhotra’s) feet listenting to what he had to say, it was as if the whole
history was being re-written there itself, reminding one of the sculptures you
find in Oxford University where our Pandits are shown at the feet of William
Jones as if he was their Acharya.
You
were crisp, clear and confident.
You
articulated your points very well receiving multiple times applause for your
visionary proposals.
You
hit the nail on the head when you talked about demanding respect in return for
respect. Nothing less. And you put it so well that you did not look arrogant or
disrespectful. What an art of communication you displayed!
You
introduced for the first time ever anywhere “Soft Power Reparations”, your own
original concept, just like countless number of your original concepts given in
last 20 odd years.
Your
proposal has the potential to re-write the history for both India as well as
for Britain, which means to correct the narrative of the “wrong history” that
has been taught in both the countries.
Rajivji,
we are proud of you would be an understatement. But, my vocabulary skills fail
me here. I would close by saying that you are going to go down in the history
as a Yug-Purush.
Thank
you for choosing India as your Matrubhumi!
Hari
Om!
Excellent talk. We can and must collaborate with Britain and there is so much shared heritage as well.
Great learning.
Love listening to you Rajeev Malhotra ji.
गंगा मैया की कृपा आप पर हमेशा बनी रहे।
Rajiv Malhotra ji at his best. I follow all your videos sir, and this is a strong case you have presented. We need to institutionalise this narrative. Modi ji needs to do more. Yoga day is good, but lets start with academics at home.

This is the correct way and constructive work 👍🙏💐
Rajiv Malhotra is a great speaker!
Very glad to have chanced upon this video by Rajivji. Brilliant presentation
