Best video on this subject with the most helpful camera angles. Really came in handy with my issue. Thanks so much!

Thank you. Stating the size of the socket would be very helpful too.

Thank U! U had the best camera angle of the removal. I saw 2 other videos before this and everyone skips the part where they remove the sensor. Now I can replace mine.

Sensor right by the exhaust system, hottest part of the engine (except the combustion chamber).
You need mini hands to work on the tight quarters of the newer automobiles.
    Thanks for the video.

Did u have to drain out any antifreeze?

Replaced sensor but the temp gauge in dash is still wonky. It’s giving false readings. I also changed the thermostat. I’ll try unplugging battery hoping it’ll reset. Stupid question. Did you have antifreeze come out when you removed coolant temp sensor?

I followed all and installed the new temp sensor and guess what? it was not the problem the problem was a loose connection of the AC bomb or something. I connected it tight and the AC stopped blinking and the radiator fan stopped when cool. Damn! at least i didnt spend a lot of money in a car shop and the sensor was very cheap. I now have one spare.

What is AC bomb? And where is the location? I was just about to go buy the sensor and saw your comment.👍

I have a 2014 Chevrolet traverse and my temperature gauge is at the bottom wount go up, but I dont have a check engine light on can this be the problem as well.?

Your car will running ok but will not telling you if your car over heat it. Check your temperature sensor and your gauge in the dash.

So it could be the temperature sensor cuz I dont have a check engine light on my gauge in my cluster dont go up n the fan turn on n they stay on for about 5m when the vehicle is off.?

@Juan Martinez if your fan work that mean that your sensor is good. The sensor is turning your fan on and off. So it should be your temperature gauge.
