I love how just because Clark is a nice guy doesn’t mean he’s gotta deal with assholes in a civil and peaceful manner, especially when they attack his family.
Clark was actually pretty civil dealing with this jerk. The jerk father actually attacked Clark first, so what Clark did can be seen as self defense. That jerk got off easy considering who he was up against.
I love that we get to see the more human side of clark and even when he's angry he's tame and is straight to the point Tyler is a great superman love what the show is doing
@@PacMan755 It was a little bit more than just a dispute. I suspect that if Clark were human he'd go full ape shit on this guy. He punched his son and threatened his wife with a gun. I know that if it were me, I wouldn't walk up and ask to go outside. Before the guy knew it he'd be getting dragged out the door by his neck.
What I find interesting about this scene is that he never actually gives his name. He describes himself in the context of those who were wronged. "I'm John Kent's dad....Lois Lane's Husband" Presenting up front the reasons why he's there, so the guy knows exactly what this is about. I'm not here because of me, I'm here because of what you did to them. I thought that was a really clever choice for the script. It's a subtle distinction, but I think a very good one, for tension purposes.
Man, I must have watched this scene like 10 times. It was honestly amazing. Kyle's facial expressions were probably the funniest part. I don't think Kyle has ever seen Clark in this way, so seeing him completely nail Candice's father to the counter was incredible. Chefs kiss lol
Its implied that Kyle used to pick on Clark when they were kids, so he'd obviously think Clark needed some backup. When he learned he was Superman, he said "I guess I should be grateful you didn't laser my ass when I pantsed you in gym class" 😂
This is actually a great Clark Kent moment. He's mad at a jerk father who hit his son and threatened his wife with a gun, yet he still tries to be civil. However, the jerk father got physical with Clark, and he's lucky that Clark still had enough restraint to hold himself back. Clark could have really hurt him, and Clark only threatened the jerk father to protect his family from a man who wouldn't hesitate to attack a kid or threaten someone with a gun. Clark Kent was definitely the better man in this situation.
Love the writers and actors for this show. Even the actions of the secondary characters in this scene are great. Kyle, knowing Clark gets up to assist him, while Lana and Sarah are holding Kyle back, so he doesn't get hurt since they know Clark is Superman.
Analysis incoming… The whole cancer storyline is huge because Lois is being threatened by something Clark can’t fight of. Superman can’t punch or heat vision it away. So this scene where he can fight back against something, it’s like a huge and awesome metaphor for him punching back against the cancer. Like finally his hands aren’t tied. Definitely my new favorite scene from S&L!! Also…dang TYLER! So fine! 🥵

This might have been the best season moment of the whole show! Who else was reminded of the bar scene in man of steel when pergande showed Clark? This Clark used pergande as the 18 wheeler! The respect in Kyle's voice was the cherry on the sundae!
Love this season so far, once again Tyler Hoechlin shows he’s a great Clark/Superman (imo). He might be a man of steel, but he’s also a father. Is it just me, or isn’t this scene kind of reminiscent of the bar scenes in both Superman 2 (Reeve) and Man Of Steel. Overall, this show is just a wonderful homage to all the previous Supermen.
If only he knew who he was really speaking too if Bruce is in this universe he must have taught Clark how to be intimidating have to say well done Clark.
Emmitt should be lucky that Sam Lane doesn’t know about the whole punching Jonathan and pulling a gun at Lois because only god knows what will happens to Emmitt if Sam knew

If I would be Clark, I would at least break a finger, just to make the point come across. But thats why i'm not Superman and don't have superpowers haha.
Let's be honest, when fighting someone with that much strength, I don't think a broken arm is something to be worried about... Especially as he could have thrown him into the mantle if he so desired.
I'd bet if Bruce Wayne/Batman exists in this universe he's watching from the Batcave with Alfred by his side, and he's smiling like a proud father whose son just got his black belt in karate.
Let's consider for a moment what it must feel like to try and fail to shove him, then to be thrown down and grappled by Superman. He doesn't move an inch, and when he's got you there's no give, you're just as pinned as you would be by a freight train.
But I love Lana face cuz she already knows he superman so omg. This the one time the fear of knowing and not knowing the truth will play out the exact way
The “i will come for you” is probably the coldest line he has ever said
