  • Well I was supposed to be hanging out with audiences at their sales gallery in Puchong, and I kinda just invited my ex-manager for a catchup about the market. And I'm so glad I did.
    After visiting so many different projects, I learnt that the style of developments often follow the management's direction of that particular time. Along with the latest success of their M series, I realised the recipe to their current approach to design by stitching all the learning points of their previous projects.
    M Series kinda pioneered the movement of addressing the need of middle class market buyers. They realised medium priced apartments need not have no lifestyle elements because the reasoning back then was just to minimize all facilities just to bring down cost as density of units was lower. But M Series was about to justify lifestyle components that's borderline luxury for the segment, and controlling cost using the density of units. What a balancing act.
    It's also very amazing to see how one project affects the whole impression of a development brand, yet requiring multiple sold out projects just to be relevant again. It's extremely challenging for the current management to just erase or correct the stigma formed by the previous team.
