Is there some kind of law that all english speaking japanese youtubers need to be friends and hang out with each other or something? Pewdiepie of all people moves there, boom they are instantly friends. Except oddly for Mrs. Eats. She''s left out in the cold.
@@joefroelich4934 Easy there, champ. Connor and Sharla have both been in Chris's life for a similar length of time, and going to hotel rooms with Connor is basically Chris's job. So it's probably true.
The chemistry is off the charts, as always. And this drives home the fact that I need a vacation at a hot springs town. Maybe a 3 day weekend. Just to marinate in hot water and stare at the void
My father was stationed in Beppu right after WWII ended. He saw the sobering devastation at Nagasaki. He said the soldiers called Beppu, Bep-Pee U! (because of all the sulfur in the air made everything stink) I think he enjoyed his 2 1/2 year tour of duty there. He said the Japanese culture and language was beautiful. I would like to go to see Beppu someday, to see where my dad was stationed, but also to find what he did...the beauty and wonder of Japan.
A wacky weekend can never be complete for Connor without a huge bathtub! That sauna at 7:12 certainly looked like an interesting experience. And that onsen was magnificent, just a shame that the swimming pool was empty and that the outdoor view was blocked a bit.
This seems like the most top-tier place I have seen so far, mixing both, the traditional Japanese experience you want, plus the commodities and luxury of having the space you need to relax and have a real vacation. Nice place, nice wacky guys in their game. Love the series, and content in general.
Stealing soaps in hotels is an obsession for me. I'll just whisk them away every day and they're miraculously refilled, like a magic. The issue is what to do with 14 or so soaps at the end of the vacation, especially if you still have leftovers before the next trip...
Love the double video drop! You two always always bring the perfect mix of humor and entertainment! Thank you for being wonderful people and spreading so much joy to others ❤
As an APU alumni / 4 year beppu resident I can say that you get used to the smell and barely notice it. it is also not as bad when you're not in the proper onsen-districts. but i have definatly smelled it when coming back from travelling and wondered how i dont notice it every day.
Two things that i find living in wales has in common with Japan. My local river once turned orange for an extended amount of time when an old disused mine flooded, so i have that nice orange water and if I want to take in those lovely onsen smells i can drive on the motorway past the beautiful Port Talbot where the smell of Sulfur is fresh in the air.
Very much here for an onsen ryokan tour! Did not expect it to have the dumbest thing to have ever served as a James Bond torture device - the one-person sauna 👀
I just want to spend 2 minutes recommending the ryokan in Hakone, Hakone Ginyu. We stayed there a few days during our honeymoon in february/march, and it was honestly the most gorgeous place on earth. Breathtakingly beautiful, with indoor and outdoor onsen, and with views of the mountains/forest.
There's an area in North America in Yellowstone that has a hotel/pool that is also all sulfur stuff. My mom and I were just talking about when we went there when I was a kid because I refused to go in the sulfur pool because it just stunk. It wasn't like a special heated pool or something it was just the sulfur water and my 9-10 year old self was like "nope no thanks it's smells gross"
I actually experienced the electro bath in Kagoshima. It was in one corner of the cold pool. It was quite a jolt about 5 milliamperes but it was shallow and the current went through my lower back. Nice massage as it pulsed every five seconds.
That one-man sauna is TERRIFYING. When I was little I went to a beauty clinic with my mum, and you know little girl, browsing, UNTIL I SAW THAT THING. Truly a nightmare material.
thank you for todays video, i like your video, when you guys are together you either find some scary places or wierd places to sleep but that´s what makes your videos so interessting, i never know what you will find in the next video you make together :)
I really like the friendship chemistry between you two. Chris, Sharla love seems to have settled softly up on your brow, lending a softer more glowing influence to your perspective. It is fascinating and terrifying all at once. Ha! Love you guys.
I was talking to my dad about how sulphur smells and there is a town/city in Japan that has sulphur vents. Then he said that Rotorua (in New Zealand) is the same and that he's been in some sulphur creeks, however, he said that there are a lot of car break-ins so you have to keep someone in the car or take an Uber/taxi or at least when he was there
I wrote a comment last week saying I'm honestly tired of seeing Chris eat and bathe with men. I was called a troll, but then this video got uploaded. I feel validated.
I have felt an electric bath! When we were in Shizuoka, actually the first onsen my husband and I ever went to had like ten freakin different baths. And when one of the girls staying at the same couchsurfing host we were(Mochan is awesome), she was the only other female that could speak English lol, so we got in the bath. It felt SO WEIRD like I rubbed Vicks all over myself and got in a hot bath. So bizarre. My husband and I also stayed at a ryokan in Beppu in January of 2016, it was fantastic! Our room wasn't as large but it was so cozy, and right on the beach, actually. I loved the rock pool on the roof, it was beautiful watching the stars come out in the evening, with the steam rising up to the sky.
I recognize this ryokan! I was thinking about staying here, but the travel dates weren't available to book yet. I'll have to check their website again later~

A wacky weekend isn’t complete without bath scenes
Too much fanservice in today's anime smh my head my head
Haha going forward it's time for less bath scenes.
@@ChrisAbroad I've seen you bathe with men about ten times in the past year. You aren't gonna stop anytime soon.
@@ChrisAbroad Chris please, it's the only homoerotic source of entertainment I have!
@@ChrisAbroadI i dare say more
I'm going to bet Chris has taken Connor to private hotel room dates more times than he has taken Sharla
lmao
If that is true than it is very sad.

@@joefroelich4934 woah cill out dude
For a change, it would be awesome if the next love hotel/onsen/hotel room video, Connor records Chris taking a bath instead!
Or, if Chris puts on the disguise,
Yes, great idea. Especially after all the hard Work Chris put into the improvement of his Shape and Body. Now he should show the results.

As Chris and Connor are talking about the sulfuric smell and how it gets into your clothes…Connor is wearing the only outfit he owns!

I love the Wacky Weekend series. Please make them more sloppy and scuffed for extra fun 😊
