He was most likely using old rackets that he used during a match which is why they broke so fast. And if you notice closely he was practicing his slices with one of the popped rackets
The power comes from that SUPER high lifted racquet position Kyrgios does on the forehand prep. It's a little like a bolo, plus note how much he extends his right arm away from his right side. My problem is I forget to get that distance so my forehand prep swing is too close to my body.
Just the ball hitting the sweet spot and trampolining, even if I’m in my living room bouncing it on my string bed. It’s that same feeling. Clean. No racket shake. Like it didn’t even make contact.
Trying to save your time 06:02 first strings gone 07:05 second racket 👍🏼 both seems to be broken because of miss hit (we all do that 🥴) and finally the third strings broke 06:31. Cheers
@Warrior Son its just preference, i also swing like nick, and my shoulder muscles arent weak at all. Nick can serve with 230 so his shoulder is also fine id say
@Warrior Son not the same maybe, but it is still highly unlikely to have a weak deltoid muscle when the rest of the area is able to create strokes like this. My theory is simple: Strokes from the book are not the only way to go. A lot players prefer to not swing over the shoulder anymore....its not outdated, but its just one way to do it nowadays. Even tennis coaches acknowledged that already and prefer not to correct swings like that.
@@benedictly1571 i always wondered if we would ever see a player who used both a 2 hander and a 1 hander. Like the 2 hander would be for rally shots and the 1 hander would be for pulling the trigger. Im not suggesting that nick switch over completely
@@jmasked5082 lol theres all sorts of things wrong with his 2 hander. But the thing is, i wonder if its more work to fix his 2 hander, or just learn a 1 hander for the situations where his current 2 hander is most lacking.

Gotta hover over the ball some. Don’t stand up so straight. Create more of a pendulum

The joy of tennis is just smashing clean balls. Not too hard. In control. Over and over.
Yeah but few people get to experience that joy :(

all 3 are dead center. just old strings not mishits
Anyone notice him going “fu*k me” after hitting the net? Haha!
He hits the ball very easy and intense

@Hamza Zaidi yeah
@Bernie Sanders just be quiet
For a guy who hits a double handed backhand that was quite good. Even for a 1 hander that was quite good
Bernie Sanders I wish I had that 1hb...

Why does he has so much sidespin on his forehand though?

Mark Mauk His point isn’t that his technique on the forehand is bad, but that his forehand has too much sidespin when he could turn it into topspin.
@@SJ-di5zu Forehands dont have sidespin

I almost wonder if he should actually practice and incorporate a 1 handed backhand so that he can actually generate heavy power on his backhand side.

Who the heck is he hitting with?! Dude didn’t miss a ball in 8 minutes I don’t think.

Why are these strings breaking so easily? Those must be rackets he already played with.
I saw that happen at amateur level as well, absolutely possible
I've seen pros go through 3-4 rackets in a match, so yeah, I guess they're all one and done even if they don't break.
3 strings? Does he play with Luxilon bangers, like most advanced players? Those strings last months, even years. Wonder what he strings with
